People like Alan Grayson have no place in politics as far as I am concerned simply for the idiotic statements that come from him. This guy is a total embarrassment to not only Florida but, to the entire country, as well as, his own party and possibly to the human race.

In reality he is probably the best friend republicans and tea party members have ever had.

KEEP MAKING IGNORANT STATEMENTS MR. GRAYSON, NOVEMBER IS COMING!

Typical Democrat misinformation. They have and always will be the party of hatred and deceit. It’s amazing that people have bought into their alternate version of history, while completely ignoring the facts. How many times has a politician on the left been caught making making these kind of comments towards minorities and women? Not 30 years ago, but now. Ever see how they treat a black conservative? They’ve convinced our kids that the GOP gets the racist southern vote, totally disregarding the black population in those states and the fact that there have always been people against their hatred (even in the south). What about the controversy surrounding Senator Byrd and MLK’s death? Byrd dared MLK to visit Memphis, and a KKK member just happened to shoot him. People are so forgetful. What about LBJ? Ever hear what his reasons were for passing civil rights? “That’ll keep the n…..s voting Democrat for the next 200 years” Ann Coulter referred to this, but an actual tape of his conversation with Sen. Russell (D) of Georgia exists. Search Youtube for “President Lyndon Johnson using the ”N“ word” (taken from the documentary “The ”N“ word”). Glenn‘s right that it doesn’t take violence to combat them. It only takes knowledge of history and the facts.

They have no idea how to handle us. The TRUTH is out and no one can stop it! I compare us to the lions laying low in the tall grass just waiting to pounce. Unfortunately, Alan Grayson was over-generalizing. But, I understand what he was saying. A problem with the conservative movement in general is that you never ever have to actually admit to being a racist or a bigot.

All you have to do is say something like we need to get rid of entitlements (that just happen to benefit the poorest among us, many of which HAPPEN to be minorities.)

All you have to do is say we need to get tough on crime (which just happens to mean we should round up a bunch of poor minorities and send them all to jail for relatively no reason).

If you don’t like a certain demographic group moving into your community, all you have to do is say “i have no problem with immigration, but I do have a problem with ILLEGAL immigration!” When it comes to illegal immigrants most people aren’t talking about Australians, Swedes, & British people whose work & student visas have expired! We hear a man with a British accent & we don’t automatically think ILLEGEAL IMMIGRANT! We hear a person with a Hispanic accent & certain people might automatically assume illegal!

If you’re a conservative, or a member of the Tea Party, you never have to use any specific words or admit to being any kind of bigot. The ever pervasive message in the conservative movement in general and the Tea Party expecially is that IF you HAPPEN to be a bigot, that’s okay because you ALWAYS have a set of ideological positions to hide behind! THAT is what Alan Grayson was trying to get at!

TO ProgressivesLoveAmerica: The same thing could be said about progressives and socialism. All you have to do is talk about redistribution of wealth and taking over banks and auto industries, but you don’t ever even have to mention socialism….weird how it works both ways HUH?

@progressivesloveamerica, first of all, I would like thank you for a civil debate… guess you’re not too popular around these parts, but you seem sincere with your postings and that should be respected.

As far as racists hiding behind a certain movement, I’m certain that could apply to Progressives as well… as has been proven throughout history with the likes of Woodrow Wilson. Are there racists in the Tea Party? Sure. Are there racists in the NAACP? Sure. That is just not the issue. I don’t speak for everybody in the Tea Party, but I know for sure that I don‘t want to tear the food stamps out of some poor working family’s hands, or take away some little old lady’s “Hoveround” ;) I‘m pretty sure that’s the concensus in the movement, though.Social programs are a necessity in our society. I think the argument comes when the abuses of the system are so rampant and American’s hard earned money is gobbled up and wasted by superfluous govt. spending for people that ultimately could “do” for themselves. Is is not frustating for you too? My husband is a reserve soldier and an elementary school teacher. I’m unemployed. We aren’t exactly living high on the hog, if you know what I mean :) Just want more fiscal responsibility from our congress and our president that mirrors our own way of life out here in the real world.

I wish we could take the race card out of the deck entirely. I love Americans… all Americans, not just the ones who look like me!

Since he will talk such garbage – the media loves him; he is a pawn to their template of division. I blame the media for much of the situation we are in…they love to report hurt speech – lies, and propaganda as the truth ~ in hopes the nation will stay in sleep mode. They seem to have forgotten where she went to school to tell her how MOST Blacks were Republicans which is why the DEMOCRATS were killing the Blacks which was so they didn’t vote Republican.. Guess some things have changed some now the Dems give them a welfare check to vote DEMOCRATIC..and STILL attack those Blacks that are Republican..

I hope he bought the sheets on a White Sale at Penney’s. Maybe a 600 count would be appropriate. Something in a Mauve or sea foam green.

Quit B**t’n, and band together and VOTE … entire family, friends, wavering friends and associates ~ “get mad as hell, and do not take it anymore”.

Grayson is one of the richest Reps in Congress, and he WILL spend the money to keep his forum … it is not necessarily about the money, but of ethics and moral fortitude to vote the right candidate ‘in.’

Our forefathers said it was our civil duty to vote, but coupled with that was to VOTE WISELY ~ if you don’t we end up with jerks like Grayson.

I have to confess that I was only four 25 years ago, but I DID, however, wear a white sheet for Halloween when I was 8, which would be 21 years ago in real time, but in Liberal crazy land I guess they COULD say I actually had the white sheet on 25 years ago or at least THOUGHT about having the white sheet on using their math methodology and “truth” reporting………..and that I was really a man….which I think you had to be ……..but , hey, the Democrats had nothing to do with the KKK, didn’t you know that?!. (Sarcasm dripping…)

Aw Shucks. You beat me to it.

Let’s not all forget that a big recruiter for the Klan was Senator Robert C. Byrd from my old state of West Virginia which Clinton, a DEMOCRAT, glossed over and excused, during Byrd’s memorial service.

Alan Grayson is the epitome of whats wrong with our nation. Grayson is the scum in the toilet that you have to clean up every once in a while, so in November him and his dope head staff in Washington are fired. This guy is the biggest loser in Washington. The founders of this country would have executed him for treason in revolutionary time. He is the prime example of elected politicians who hate our nation and the constitution. Please wake up Florida before its to late your nation needs good decisions.

25 years ago I was a fourteen year old, the KKK was history, and the only people wearing sheets were women in a far off land getting beaten by their husbands per their practice of a religion of peace.

I was at the Rally and took videos. Many of the attendees weren’t even born 25 yrs. ago. It was a spectacular event bringing thousands upon thousand of like-minded people together on a gorgeous sunny day. The atmosphere was “peace on earth to men of good will”. Mr. Grayson and Ms. Miller should have attended – their lives would have been changed.

I guess Greyson neither knows what it feels like to be around a KKK rally and what it feels like to be around a Glen Bech rally. 40 years ago in South Carolina, my husband and I and our 4 kids while going to the grocery store accidentally encounter a KKK rally. It was very, very, scary. Last week my husband and I went to the Restoring Honor Rally. It was very, very inspirational. What a difference.

I’m 26 and I went to “restoring honor” with my Latino girlfriend all on my own dime. 25 years ago I had no affiliation to any party and sure didn’t affiliate with a bunch of real racists. These generalizing comments are absolutely offensive. I even made the mistake of voting for “the Obamanator” of freedom and the Constitution. That man spends like he won the lottery. I‘m Independant and didn’t get involved in political debates until I saw how mislead OUR country is. I want to take back my vote and cast it towards impeachment of Obama for incompetence of being an American leader.

Grayson is simply showing either total ignorance of history or willingness to lie about it, or both. No matter which of these is true, he doesn’t deserve to represent anyone in Congress.

Alan Grayson desperately needs a history lesson….those that wore the white sheets were actually Democrats out to intimidate the newly allowed to vote blacks…they were DEMOCRATS!!! You just can’t make this stuff up. The African American community has exchanged physical slavery for psychological slavery by the way of welfare, EEOC, American Black Caucus, etc.

Actually, 25 years ago I WAS a Democrat. Not the sheet wearing kind, which is disgusting, but one who honestly thought being a liberal was good thing, but it has now gone too far. I changed parties and am never going back. Democrats need to wake up and see what’s happening around them. If a “flaming liberal” like me can be moved by recent events to switch parties, so can many many others. Take heed, Democrats. You are no longer going to be in charge.
