Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney announced Friday that he has earned the endorsement of Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski, considered by many conservatives to be a RINO.
The following statement was released by the Romney camp:
“I am proud to announce the support of Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski,” said Mitt Romney. “I look forward to working with her to expand Alaska’s energy production, bring jobs back to the state, and help get our country on the right track again.”
“Mitt Romney has had the lifelong experiences needed to turn around our economy,” said Senator Murkowski. “Whether it was his ability to turn around the Massachusetts economy or turn around businesses in the private sector, Mitt Romney has demonstrated the leadership that we need in the White House to get the country on the right track. He has also laid out a plan to get our country on the path toward energy independence. Mitt Romney understands the importance of Alaska as a leader in our country’s energy production and I look forward to working with him on such an important economic and national security matter.”
Murkowski won reelection as a write-in candidate in 2010 after losing the Republican primary.

He was supported by Mark Levin and Sarah Palin. I fundraised for him in my home.
Some idiot Senator‘s endorsement can’t scare me away. I supported him first, after I vetted him to death.
I SUPPORT MITT ROMNEY FOR PRESIDENT, A CONSERVATIVE (Doesn’t matter what the liberal media wants to spin about him.)

Until we get the Big – “Fed Gov’t is the end-all-be-all” cronies out of office so we can again make all politics local – we have got to be engaged nationally – we have to castrate the Fed Gov’t – which means we have to get active both nationally as well as locally.
The unions and the other marxist / communist / socialist / non-liberty minded groups have no compunction about getting involved where they don’t belong – high time we did the same.
And while I am on this rant – Where is the Church? It is because we as belivers have been silent that our society is going to hell in a hand basket…
Time for courage – stand up – speak up – Adonai li v Lo Ira – The Lord is with me – I fear not

Conservative compare to Newt Ginrich, Perry and Cain… Not Bachmann and Santorum
I agree we need to get rid of the bloated govt cronies out of office. I want a candidate that cut spending in his state, destroyed the $3B deficit and turned it into a $2B rainy day fund. A person who dissolved two state govt departments (an HHS dept and a Park and Rec dept). Someone that destroyed the nanny state of which he lived, Massachusetts creating the Arizona Law in 2006. Has fought to take powers away from the federal govt and give it back to the states. Who turned the Olympics from going bankrupt to being the most profitable in history. A person that had to be drafted, while making tons of money, to leave that and taking care of the Olympics and then drafted by a Mass Group called, Citizens for Limited Govt, to run for governor of a liberal state called Taxachusetts. Who fought for lower taxes ever since his run in with Ted Kennedy and then implimented it when he became governor.
How about a man that has taken on the unions more than any other candidate?
Now is he a perfect candidate “H-E-Double Hockey Sticks” NO, Is he the strongest Conservative… NOPE. But he is one of the best we have, right there with what Herman Cain could have been.
He is also strong in foreign affairs, through his business ventures and Olympics, and is well verse to do what is needed.
This is why I support him.

Posted on December 2, 2011 at 8:47pm@ Clinger… there is just something about Romney (I can’t quite explain it) I do not trust. I appreciate your views and undestand your conviction. I am not writing off Cain – there stinks too much of Axelrod et al. I belive that Mr Cain is an honorable man who is being castigated. He reminds me of me (& my dad). When you have a heart that is pure it is hard to fathom that there are those who are not so pure of heart. There are many who will say naive – perhaps. In my naive world there are only 3 colors – black – white and rosey …right – wrong and optomistic

Posted on December 2, 2011 at 10:43pmThere is only Romney and he is conservative. Even when he was running in 1994 against Kennedy he ran as a strong fiscal conservative it was the issue of abortion that he wasn’t Conservative.
The reason some have a problem trusting his is because we have been conditioned by the media. There are some great articles about the conservative Romney in the Pilot Catholic Newspaper. There was a great article about the evidence of Romney’s true conversion to being pro-life. That is a Catholic newspaper writing about it. I think that is saying something.

Posted on December 2, 2011 at 11:21pmWhen will society wake up? Neither Mitt nor Newt are what this country needs. BOTH are big government RINO’s. BOTH are Obama lite. Same with Perry. They ALL will do and say anything to be elected. It does NOT matter who wins a debate! Questions are posed that many should not be able to answer because they have no information processing capability now as a candidate. As President they will have all the knowledge they need from their advisers. We NEED someone who can think and DO what the Constitution requires. However, an isolationist is NOT the best (sorry Ron Paul). However, dramatically shrinking the government while leaving Social Security and the Military alone ARE the requirements for the next Potus. Again, a straight talker, like Cain or Bachmann are what we need. I prefer Cain, because he has NO experience in Washington. He would do the will of the people. His personal life can be whatever, as long as he shrinks government and returns our rights by de-funding and overturning ALL that Obama has done!

Interestingly, a majority of the comments revealed these people are evangelicals, something of the born again type. The same who forced us to have a McCain last election, the same who will support candidates if they don;t even mention the lord but go to church on Sundays, oh wait, I mean, that is unless the church they are attending is the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I would suggest those of you who worship your religious leader to look deeper into your heart, past their religiously indoctrinated message, and into your heart. The reality is, if you feel that way towards a Mormon, then you feel no different about me and my understanding of faith about Christianity. I assure you, this bigotry is what those on the left or in the center despise about religion in general. Unfortunately for them, they don’t understand they can still worship the lord while progressively moving towards a righteous life and no have to wear thee Scarlett letter around their neck in the process. This is the impression you give others when you bark at others about the tenants pertaining to Christ and his way of life. I assure you, it is is not your path that is the only path to salvation. I assure you we all have our sins according to the “higher law” Jesus brought in, that is sin in thought
