Alec Baldwin: Reagan Was a ‘Failed Actor’ Who Snubbed the Underprivileged

Alec Baldwin isn’t afraid to let his anti-Republican ideals surface from time to time.
On his new radio show (yes, he’s been given a show), “Here’s the Thing,” Baldwin decided to take some jabs at Ronald Reagan — a man who, like Baldwin, got his start in acting.
Baldwin didn’t go easy on Reagan either. “He was a failed actor who in my business what happens is you become ripe and you fall from that tree and you go — and he went into this other field because it was a role for him to play,” he said.
But he wasn’t done there. While chatting with GOP political strategist Ed Rollins, he continued. “Reagan seduced a whole generation of Americans into believing, you should have what you want more than they [the underprivileged] should have what they need, and don’t feel guilty about it,” Baldwin said. Rollins, of course, politely disagreed with Baldwin’s assessment.

Below, watch Baldwin down at Zuccotti Park earlier this month, discussing the Fed, among other issues:

Posted on November 7, 2011 at 7:54pmYou home schoolers on here probably don’t know it but 30 Rock, his show, has been a hit show for years. It’s a “smart” show though so you dukes of hazard and blue collar comedy fans on here probably don’t watch it. Reagan WAS a failed actor. However, becoming president is a bigger deal than staring on a hit comedy show.

ALEC is most successful, when he recites words that other, more intelligent people write for him to say. ALEC pretends for a living. He is only an entertainer at his very best. Someone to laugh at. When he speaks his own words, the public hears what a vile bitter man ALEC really is.
Ronald Reagan got involved in the world and made a difference http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvg7lRsCVJ8&feature=related
Listen to that speech and you will see the chasm that separates the two.

Posted on November 7, 2011 at 8:13pmThat was a great display of fatherhood. This no talent piece of dog doo has another radio show? I wonder who bought it for him. I never laughed so hard when he said 50 times over 30 minutes my lines are open so go ahead and give me a call. Nobody called. He was inarticulate and a total waste as a radio host. I think his last radio show lasted 2 days maybe not long.

Posted on November 8, 2011 at 8:25amWell, I was seriously struggling under Carter and when Reagan came along, I was able to find work again. I don’t feel snubbed by Reagan AT ALL. Now we‘ve had 3 years of Obama and I’m back into the “seriously struggling” category. I can‘t call Obama a failed anything since he’s never done anything yet, but I assume that Obama will be a failed President when his term is over.

Report Post »You got that right! I consider Baldwin the most failed actor (actually in my book, a never was actor). Come to think of it, I would have to say that he is a failure at everything he does. The only reason that they use him and pretend that he is a big actor is because of his radical left wing beliefs that Hollywood loves so much! It is a shame because when Hollywood had truly talented actors, they were about a conservative and patriotic as anyone could be.

Alec Baldwin isn‘t fit to even say Reagan’s name.
As for 30 rock Baldwin isn’t the writer he merely says the lines someone else wrote. I personally find Baldwin public persona to be repugnant and hateful . The vision of him mentally carrys over to his characters he plays rendering the man UNWATCHABLE IN MY WORLD.

Posted on November 15, 2011 at 8:16pmYou may not like what he has said or done, but that doesn‘t make him a ’failed actor’. If you’ve seen 30 Rock, you’ll know his work in that role was brilliant. As for him being a ‘failed father’ – who are we to judge? That was 4 years ago, we don’t know what changes have happened since that awful phone call took place. I’m sad at the comments here being so self-righteous and judgemental – as if any of us is perfect!! Have none of us ever stuffed up? Calm down the nastiness people… Attack the argument of issues you don’t like, not the person talking about them…
