Aliens or Air Show? Strange Lights Appear Over TX and NYC

A strange pattern of lights has appeared over both El Paso, TX and New York City recently. The official explanation in Texas is an air show exercise.* But some aren’t convinced:

Last month a UFO researcher brought together former military personnel who gave first-hand accounts of alien activity.

“I believe — these gentlemen believe — that this planet is being visited by beings from another world, who for whatever reason have taken an interest in the nuclear arms race which began at the end of World War II,” said Robert Hastings.

UPDATE:

According to USA News week, the lights over Manhattan are being blamed on a group of middle schoolers who released some party balloons in Virginia.

The story also cites an FAA spokesperson who said that their radars did not pick up any activity corresponding to the lights.

    Do they think we are that stupid? How do you have an airshow at night? What are you going to see? And they also have one in NY at the same time? Come on….they can come up with something better than that.

      Chatom, yes, they do have airshows at night. I take it you have never been to one. They are very cool. Plenty of videos to show this on the net. The NY “sighting” was a different thing entirely. Just a coincidence it happened so close together.

      Yes people do think we (citizens just freaked out) are stupid. That‘s why I think the gov’t FAA is so unclear about airplane/parachute activity which is very well logged. Or maybe they’re just as incompitent as we claim they really are. Either way, don’t prove them right. Always look for the most logical and explainable reason something happens or appears in a certain manner and exhaust those before starting on the conspiracy route. I wasn’t sure what it was either, but a lot of really good posts explained the parachutes at night pretty well. When I YouTubed the night parachute shows, they followed the exact pattern, light, and everything. It’s pretty cool too. Keep your head up and eyes open. God bless!

      Gita, it is not arrogance. It is truth. The Bible tells us plainly that the universe was created for man. There are no other “beings” out there. Be careful of this talk about “aliens”. I believe it is how the rapture will be explained. Please do not be deceived. Watch the news, television shows, and movies. “Aliens” and “UFOs” are becoming more and more prominent. With the news of the “official alien ambassador”, I do not believe it will be much longer until the rapture. Please make sure you don’t miss it. :-)

      We are not the only beings talked about in the Bilbe. The angels which are beings created by God and heavenly hosts are mentioned many times. You only have to read Ezekiel 1 to know we are not the first beings to witness unusual or unknown objects in the sky.

    Amigo Airsho Executive Director Terrie Todd identifies this flying object as a patriotic performance by the U.S. Army’s precision parachute team… the Golden Knights. She says each Knight had attached canisters with flares on their feet to generate light while diving through El Paso’s skies as part of a synchronized stunt… so no mothership here.

      NY wasn’t the knights (least it wan’t on the schedule posted on thier website)…but I did find this. http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2010/10/14/2010-10-14_ufo_nyc_kids_say_no_mysterious_floating_orbs_were_escaped_balloons_from_teachers.html A few other blogs had pictures of the “orbs” zoomed way in and you can see the ballon bunches. Seems like a viable theory to me. The TX ones are definitely the air show.

      So are you saying that the Golden Knights were in all three locations, on the same day, across the nation, doing this stunt?

      I have never, ever heard of nighttime air shows. Which does NOT mean that they don’t exist, just first I’ve heard of them. What would be to watch, one skydiving routine and then……what? I don’t get it.

    At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist…..I think it’s awfully suspicious that UFOs would start showing up in well populated areas all of a sudden right after our government created an ambassadorship to extraterestrials position. I am suspicious by nature, but the timing is just too convenient! I think it may be contrived to build support for the regime. If aliens show up and start backing the demoncrats we’ll know why.

      the funniest part of this whole thing is that the report that the UN has an Alien Ambassador was FALSE!!!

      The story was made up. In an email from Miss Othman, the woman “named” Ambassador, “ She wrote ”It sounds really cool but I have to deny it,” she said of the story. She will be attending a conference next week, but she’ll be talking about how the world deals with “near-Earth objects”.

      See I cannot disagree with you more, if you watch the multiple footage of this on youtube, those balloons that became flairs then became parachutes with flairs don’t re-act to the physics of friction the way all other skydivers do. You can’t just STOP and reverse a spin like that, gain and dropm altitude in perfect unison and all without seeing sputters from the flares at all, it’s impossible. Then on top of ALL this they did the same patterns as the so-called balloons over Manhatten. . I think people are petty dense if they seriously believe these were sky-diving balloons with flares or whatever the crap people are selling as an excuse.

      I’ve always thought the same thing about arrogance, but for different reasons as related to God & religion. Like you, I‘ve always thought that it was MONUMENTALLY arrogant to believe that in all the vastness of space we’re IT. As anyone who has ever tried to explain the infinite nature of space to a child has seen (and I have three) when you ask them… “Even if there’s a ceiling on the sky – Even if it ENDS, what’s BEYOND that? Answer: MORE SPACE.” And their eyes fly WIDE open. So from a strictly LOGIC based extrapolation, odds are in favor of other intelligent life, but like you, I’ve never understood why it has to cause any religious difficulty. If God, such as you might believe in Him, created US, then the same God could have created everything ELSE… OR NOT, alien or no, whether a UFO came here or not, right?

      There‘s nothing arrogant in believing that we’re IT. It’s a fundamnetal belief of monotheistic religions that Man is the pinacle of creation and made to know God. We are not just animals. If God has created other beings in his image one must ask why God has not told us about them. Glenn has said that that makes the vast universe seem a waste of space, but that is thinking spatially, and God is beyond the measure and limit of time and space, since he created them. Besides, might it not be considered equally arrogant to say that there is no point to creating vast expanses of space if there is no biological life in them? Why could God not be pleased by creating galaxies simply for their beauty?

      I agree. Further, US and Russian astronauts as well as Air Force pilots, all with impeccable reputations have spoken and/or written of seeing crafts performing feats that no craft made on Planet Earth could accomplish. Astronauts tell of near confrontations with “Alien” crafts. I am so tired of hearing people who have never experienced space travel or been up in an Air Force jet belittling people who have, and who say that these occurrences are real. While there are hoaxsters all over the world whose activities make it easy to point to the ear and make your hand go in a circle while rolling your eyes, no one who hasn’t been there has any business making comment on those who have. I. too, think it is supreme arrogance to believe that we only he only, or even the most intelligent, species. There are unexplained occurrences happening all the time, everyday, that maybe only a few people notice and dare not say anything for fear of the ridicule of the “intellectuals” who are too “smart” to notice and if they did, would deny the evidence of their eyes and ears.

      Please tell me where in the Bible it says that Earth is the only place God created life? I have been a very devout religious person my whole life I have never once seen anywhere that is says this. The Vatican does agree with me as well, we have ZERO understanding nor could we of the plans God has. I firmly believe that people from other planets are my brothers and sisters under God.

      i blame global warming as well. On a related note…found out today that 95% of my master’s level education class believes that humans are totally responsible for global warming class.     Not proud of this moment but at age 12 at an american legion picnicin 1978 ( at this time in u.s. history 12 year olds had little supervision. we had access and full use of a helium tank, balloons, tape and aluminum foil. Being 12 year olds we constructed about 300 balloons taped with foilon the outer perimeter of the mass of balloons. we made the news. I believe i heard the date of alleged ufos was the same as predicted in a popular science fiction novel, that gave the day as invasion of earth. sadly to ufo people, it was a stunt

      We used to take the plastic bags that your dry cleaning comes back in, seal the top and make a cross at the bottom made of balsa wood dowels. Then put a lit candle on it. Works like a hot air balloon. At night it would flicker with different colored light. Tie a few together with fishing line and you have a multi-light UFO. Did it in the Arizona desert thirty years ago and to this day I see it as on documentaries as a possible sighting.

      I remember hearing about those sighting claims – interesting to hear what they actually turned out to be. In 1992 or so, my family and neighbors were watching two sets of silent lights maneuver over the city of Phoenix, and wondered what they were – no real airplane noises or helicoptor noises, just a sound you could more feel than hear.

      Looked up at the full moon when a light went in front of it, the silouet was the side on profile of a B-2 stealth bomber.

      That was neat!!!

      Agreed. The Texas “UFOs” are clearly skydivers practicing for the aforementioned airshow.
      The NYC “UFOs” are clearly balloons. Any three points will make a triangle. Nothing “eerie” about that. Common sense people. :-)

      Phoenix Az went through this same stuff with “lights in the night” that were nothing more than flares dropped by aircraft and helicoptors during military training maneuvers.

      No grays or little green men here, other than people covering themselves with paint or something.

There are a startling number of videos captured worldwide showing the exact same things, many of which I have posted directly on the thread (the one from Moscow, Russia is frightening). Yes, the thread is a little wordy, but it’s necessary in order to get into the details of what people are witnessing.

      Here’s a good conspiracy theory…. it’s the HAARP facility in Alaska that is projecting these things in the sky and why NY and TX lights looked the same. That’s how it looked like the “UFO’s” just disapeared, they just turned off the HAARP machine.

      Now please don’t get upset… I am not trying to mock any of you, but to say things like “it is so obvious” what it is, “that is exactly what it is”, they “are CLEARLY balloons” is no more certain than for someone to say that they are clearly aliens.

      Clearly, there is a point of light against a black sky. Obviously the point of light splits into three points of light. Clearly the three points of light begin to streak an Obvious trail. At some point it becomes Obvious the the three points of light stop giving off light. That’s it. That’s all ya got. Any other parachutes, skydivers, air craft, or aliens Clearly or Obviously seen by Anyone is purely in Their minds own eye. It is proclamation without investigation as Stanton T. Freidman would say.

      There are many things they could be, and there are far many more things they can not be. The only clear things is that these are in fact U.F.O.s. Unidentified Flying Objects. They will remain Unidentified until someone comes up with rock solid proof that they undeniably something identifiable.

      Fail. Couple problems with your guess sir.
      1. Skydivers don’t use flairs like the lights seen.
      2. Flairs leave smoke trails that can be seen when a parachute is deployed.
      3. These lights were seen in the middle of the day- so where’s your skydivers i that shot? I didn’t see any divers or parachutes.
      4. Flairs don’t go out at the same exact time like a light switch, they fade out.

      I know this becuase I used to live in Yuma AZ where flairs were used at night for exercises all the time.

      Again, from page 17 the book, entitled OH MY GOD, HE’S BLACK reads as follows…..

      First of all, I am not a Trekkie, but I do adore sci-fi as much or more than the next guy. I do believe that there is life out there, besides life on our planet. You would have to be very close minded to think that the human race was all there was.(not to mention how sad that would be) But come on, really??? The sightings in NY lasted how long that day? Does NOONE there own a telescope, that they couldnt zoom in on what everyone was seeing? They had reporters walking around talking to ppl at the time of the sightings. It just amazes me that with todays advances in technology, we only get pictures and videos that are no better than what the eye can see. Could someone please explain this to me??

      From birth, the flesh, the human is taught these things…. Seeing is believing. Knowing, is being taught, what to see. We as human beings are instructed to believe that a one equals a one, that two equals two and so forth. Are those things you see, truely what you see?
      The Scripture says ‘no’.
      One is not one. Two is not two. And so on.
      Just as in Einstein’s E=MC2(simplified as One=Three) for the theory of relativity.
      For ‘all matter(all of God’s creation, but us)’ we, the human creation(all else that shall matter) are to be defined for an eternity in a 1=3 manner [[[of possiility]]].
      In our sin as 1=1 we are out of the Math of 1=3. We must return to the math of 1=3 to establish and reach our eternal capacity.
      It is that simple.
      But, at the same time, just that complicated, for we cannot SEE our faith in 1=3. From birth we have been taught to see ourselves as 1=1. This proposition of finding our true math for eternity is available to us in the phenomena called ‘faith’ but is of great difficulty. An abandoning of that which we have been taught to see, our sight.
      Indeed, for that which faith, personal faith, may allow us to overcome. Faith in what? His Math. The
      Math that says 1=3 not our math of the flesh, the eye that has told the mind 1=1.

      Your soul knows much more in terms of time, motion, warp, and dimension than your body can know, because of the gravity of sin on your being.
      A born again soul sees in terms of black and gray from black. From black which is a conjugate of light. The cognizance that rises up from the seperation and the failings will range toward the truth of the Math, His Math, and the Divine Gray is made superficial.
      The math easily perused will dissolve conflict between race, betwixt religions. The two are one and the same, as both are an alienation from the math of the Holy Spirit.
      Knowledge, wisdom, and understanding—these three dimensions, this set, will mount the human soul, to the one that is the fastigiate. God’s fixed value. The Constant.
      Knowledge plus wisdom and then understanding equals truth. The 3 that =’s the 1.

      Awww man, who let the smart guy in here. I had never seen anything like that in my life but when you said it was Skydivers my immediate reaction was yep, that’s exactly what it is. After watching the other video posted of the actual Skydivers it makes even more sense now that I know what the latter looks like.

      I don’t know much about skydiving, but isn’t skydiving at night dangerous? Even with night vision? I mean STUPID dangerous?? Ya know, like yer gonna DIE STUPID DIPSTICK DANGEROUS? The lights are alien to our world. That thought is more … more fun than the thought of watching some stupid parachutist burst into flames in some high tension wires. Geez …

      Obvious? I would think that parachutes in broad daylight would be obvious but no one saw them. Also, parachutes don’t stop, they slow down but they keep falling. Lastly, other than Navy SEALs who parachutes with flares at night, let alone over NY city.

      You can recreate all of the UFO sightings with a piece of glass, you know.

      Basically, just point a camera at the sky with a piece of glass above it, and the glass will reflect anything beneath it. Do all the lighting stuff on the ground beneath it.

      Of course, you can recreate real events as well, so while the “glass” explanation is AN explanation, technically speaking it may or may not be THE explanation.

      I don’t believe in aliens because I have no reason to believe in them.

      Funny, but the airport manager never said anything about parachutists, and that would be something they would keep an eye on ESPECIALLY if they also had manuvering “air show aircraft” in the vicinity….Also strange that the same sort of “formation flying” flares would be seen in broad daylight….you also forgot one little thing…PARACHUTS DON’T HOVER. They decend at a noticable rate, and I don’t think that either of the light formations was decending AT ALL. Try again!

      Make sense, just don’t understand why the FAA is so vague on flight activity. I know when I was doing flight training we alway knew where drops were taking place so we could stay clear of that area. Seems like that would’ve been broadcast. I just feel like we’re fish in an aquarium that get spooked by our own reflection after a four year old has been poking the glass non-stop. I think politically, we’ve been messed with so bad that we just want something unexplained to simpley be crazey aliens (not undocumented workers, but really from “out of space”) instead of the government incompetently keeping us in the dark. Or maybe they‘re using these training stunts to get us edgey to the point where we’re like, “Oh it’s just Obama pointing a giant space lazer at me. Whew, I thought it was aliens attacking me for a second. Hey what’s on Dancing With The Starz honey?…” Thanks for posting that link to help us keep it real man.

      OK..Glen was talking about this on the radio this AM and said he was going to talk about it tonight as well…one problem…parachutes descend once opened…flares flicker and drop sparks as they burn, parachutes swerve and manuever, these lights did not do these things…

      Lights over NYC, El Paso, Texas area of the Gulf of Mexico and now two days ago over Richmond Va…same three points of light in a V inverted shape…same lights at various cities all over the world in last several weeks/months…
