Alleged American Jihad-Enthusiast Plans to Plead Guilty

An alleged jihad-enthusiast The Blaze has been following since last year decided to plead guilty to charges that he encouraged attacks on public buildings and military facilities, transportation systems, cellphone towers and water plants in the United States via online postings. He has not agreed, however, to plead guilty to charges of distributing information about explosives and weapons of mass destruction, which are more serious and carry a 20-year maximum sentence.

Emerson Begolly plans to plead guilty to

During his time as an undergrad at Penn State University, Emerson Begolly wrote chilling anti-Semitic lines and eerie odes to extremist groups and leaders — Osama bin Laden, for one — under the pen name Asadullah Alshishani.

A few lines from a song he posted in December 2010:

Blow their heads right off their shoulders
Grab my Gun and my Ammo
Strap my kamarband onto my chest
Get dressed up in my camo
Martyrdom is what I wanted best

If that’s not troubling enough, here’s the the video he devoted to his admiration of Osama bin Laden, witch includes the line: Osama bin Ladin O, how I love you!

Only weeks after Begolly posted that video, we reported that police arrested him and charged him with biting two FBI agents. They were reportedly struggling to keep Begolly from grabbing a loaded 9 mm pistol in his jacket when the young man attacked the agents. In the AP video about the assault, you can see Begolly practicing with everything from a small hand gun to an AK-47:

Begolly, who remains incarcerated, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Virginia last month on charges he encouraged attacks on public buildings and military facilities, transportation systems, cellphone towers and water plants in the United States on posts to the Ansar al-Mujahideen English Forum.

According to a document signed by Begolly on Monday and filed on Tuesday with the U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Va., he intends to plead guilty to the first count of that indictment after the case is transferred to U.S. District Court in Pittsburgh.

The count to which Begolly, 22, will plead guilty carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison, but he has not agreed to plead guilty to the more serious count of distributing information about explosives and weapons of mass destruction, which carries a 20-year maximum sentence. That likely means federal prosecutors are prepared to drop that charge.

    This dirt bag lived less then 40 mins. away from my home. I didn’t think people who were
    sympathetic the the muslim hoards would live any where near me. He must have been born & raised some where else thats all there is too it. An I would def. look into his so called father if I was the FBI a 20 year old kid doesn’t just act like this without some influence. I hope they line him up in front of a firing squad.

      @CESIUM, Yes this is true but no were in either one of our teachings does it say to kill all none believers. Islam does and that was my point to Rose. She evangelizes for them thinking it’s Christian to do so. Islam uses the Old Testament and the Quran as teachings but holds the Quran as the true word of God. True Christians understand that our roots are Jewish, and so is Islam.       People can’t help what they truly believe. if you have the gift of faith in Christ and the Trinity ,that should make you humble ,not judgemental of those not given this gift.I notice how muslim haters stress their violent passages found in the koran to justify labeling them a violent religion but themselves love the passages of Jesus over turning the tables of the evil doers in the temple and the passage about Him coming to bring a sword.,to justify your genocidal hatred of muslims.The sword He brings is to seperate the spiritual new man from the old adam[the man off flesh-by flesh is meant worldly hatreds and animalistic primitice territorial diviisons. as well oas other sins.     I have my doubts that Begolly is a “True Believer” when it comes to Islam, and is just supporting it to be “different” and “against the grain”.

    It makes him look like he’s taking a stand for a group that college students believe to be oppressed in the USA, and makes him the activist “who’ll be what every other activist in campus is afraid to be”.

    It gets him attention, and in the end, that’s most likely what he really wanted.

    I don’t know, I mean several posters on here are always calling for armed resistance against the USA…what’s the difference? Hardly anybody smacks them down for being too extreme…

    Don’t get me wrong, I certainly agree with the idea that he should be imprisoned for life or worse, not to mention his song writing skills are atrocious.

      Great point. So here‘s a dude who apparently is so convinced in his faith and world view that he’s willing to sacrifice his life on that principle to fight those who he believes oppose that.

      Now, I swore an oath that I would put my life on the line to defend the constitution and that said constitution expressly points out that my rights are from God alone. We all are watching this entire concept of the constitution being trampled upon, our rights are laughable (have you had a TSA groping?), the system is corrupt and the polices are mindless enforcers for the political class that has done this to us. For our opposition to this we are labeled terrorists.

      Now obviously there are clear differences from Islam to Constitutionalists. Most notably is the idea of freedom among other moral relativism issues. Now, take the moral relativism out of it and simply look at the convictions. The difference between this guy and us is that he is willing to fight and accept the price of resisting. We still hold to the idea that we can go into a voting booth and this will all go away.

      The difference is, those in America calling for armed resistence are defending the constitution. This guy is trying to get Muslims, and therefore Shari’a law, into America, which would destroy the constitution. I swore an oath when I joined the Navy in 1984, to defend my country from enemies both domestic and non-domestic. Right now we have enemies in our government. The optimal defense would be a legal one, the way our voting is set up. Pray for peace, but prepare for war.

    As a self avowed member of the Tea Party, i request- HELL NO! I DEMAND they find another term for this person’s activities!
    According to the word-smiths in the media- one that desires restraint in government spending, accountbility, and a “reasonalbe” (not to be confused with balanced) approach to those ends. Therefore, his status can be changed to whateever. As far as the definition of words (a special thanks to Bill Clinton) call him a alarmist-antiamerican, patiot, WHATEVER.       I don’t believe in man made global warming.And.how could we gage climate change in such a short span of time? In any given span of time had we used the measurements we have today who knows what we may have obseved?between the years 300ad to 400 ad say, had we measured everything we’re measuring now who knows what we would have notices[regaring melting of ice bergs,or ozone levels or whatever?]This obsession with carbon ourput is the latest manifistation of miserliness, and neurosis.it would be funny if these environmentalists didn‘t have so much power and if people wern’t being brainwashed with the sky is falling propaganda.
