Alleged: Gore Leaves Car Idling for 60 Minutes During Enviro Speech

Al Gore loves the environment. He made a documentary about saving it, and frequently gives speeches about it.
So after allegedly leaving his car idling for 60 minutes while speaking at the Gothenburg Award for Sustainable Development in Sweden on October 10, it‘s not surprising that some are wondering if Gore’s suggestions on reducing emissions apply to everyone but him.
According to Einar Du Rietz on the website Climatedepot.com, Gore ignored requests from the speech’s organizers to use public transportation to go to the event — a request meant to help minimize CO2 emissions — and rented a car for the speech.
And although leaving a car idle for so long carries penalties, Gore may have been given a pass.
“Incidentally, local legislation prohibits — for very good environmental reasons, i e pollution — any car engine running on empty for more than 60 seconds,” Rietz writes. “Fines are severe.”
“As far as I know, he was not fined.”
“Stupidity and hypocrisy — as well as vanity — are, like it or not common human traits,” Rietz says.

I remember going fishing with my cousin at the state park here in Ohio. As we pulled in the parking lot we saw a car covered in activist bumper stickers-save the planet, green party etc..There is a long path down to the water through the woods, and as we got to our spot on the lake we pass two college age guys fishing and smoking. we walked to the other side of the small cove and unpacked all our gear and started fishing. We were there for about two hours when the other guys decided to pack it in… As they started to pack up their stuff I noticed that they were discarding plastic bags, cans, and paper trash on the bank. When we left we stopped by where these two fished and picked up their trash-cigarette butts and everything. You see we brought a bag a to haul out all of our stuff-paper, plastic and beer cans-everything. And there was some irony in the fact that these two had their car parked right next to a trash can too.
My point is with this: That what we are seeing is a thinly disguised political movement designed to introduce laws that will get your money. That these people who preach and present pseudo-science are hypocrites at every level. From the Generals to the foot soldiers. I’ll keep my SUV Mr Gore. You see, if there is a resource out there that can be purchased it is mine as soon as I purchase it. Oil therefore is not ‘our resource’. And the crooked politics that you use to drive the cost of oil and infrastructure ever higher is the dirtiest possible politics. Line your pockets with the money from the sheep of your own flock-get outta mine.

Posted on October 29, 2010 at 7:37pmWell said indeed! My husband works in a surface mine in wv and the treehuggers camped out in the trees and areas around the mine. They didn’t leave the the area during their “protest” which forced them to defecate in adult diapers which they promptly threw on the ground for others to deal with. Oh!,what love of their beautiful earth. At least my husband’s company reclaims the area they mine. These people have no concern for the planet. They just have too much time on their hands.. They need a real job that isn‘t subsidized by the US Gov’t =EPA..

Posted on October 29, 2010 at 10:38amI have never met an econut who practices what they preach. All the ones I know drive gas powered cars live in homes that are not solar powered, etc. So I figured out a long time ago it is only good for someone else. Just another way to get control of the general population and if you disagree with them you are a bad person.
Case in point, growing up I couldn’t figure out why forest fires were not let to burn, I wondered who put them out when there was no one here to put them out, long story short, now they have decided that not putting them out has contributed to there being massive, raging fires because of all the buid up of underbrush and debris over the years. Nature knows how to clean house. Common Sense, right?

The proposals to combat “GLOBAL WARMING” have more potential to destroy our freedom and prosperity than any issue since WORLD WAR II. The cost of energy is increased by all these proposals. Energy is contained in all the products used to sustain our lives.
These proposals will be devastating to the poor, where the cost of survival consumes all their income.

Posted on October 29, 2010 at 10:35amLet me see, Al Gore during the time as VP hosted a enviormental meeting of endangered species, the chairs of the meeting made from endangered trees; he says about the enviornment concerns are his concerns and he fails to neglect how rich he will be off the carbon credits scamming of the world and especially America. The great enviormentalist is still the great con artist based on his actions, and a very bad one at that.

Posted on October 29, 2010 at 12:27pmLet’s see, an anonymous source reports that O’Donnell begged a man to have a one night stand, and the conservatives denounce the lie, saying an anonymous source MUST be lying. But then, another anonymous source says that Gore left a car idling for a 60 minutes (love the precision there), and conservatives yell: that must be true!
Conservatives are lucky that they are irretrievably dumb. If liberals were this hypocritical, their ears would be ringing from the cognitive dissonance.
