Allen West Asks: ‘Is it Open Season on a Principled Black Conservative?’

Rep. Allen West, who received a derogatory letter with mysterious white powder in it last week, has some stern words for his menacing critics.
From The Hill:
Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) used an email to constituents to respond to a threat against his Florida office last week and to warn critics to “be careful of whom you are choosing to employ these tactics against.”
…
West, a retired Army colonel, has become a national figure among Tea Party activists since defeating Democrat Ron Klein last November. The Florida Republican will be a top target of national Democrats seeking to regain the majority in the House in 2012.
In that letter, West wrote, “This incident, is just another in several incidents that have occurred over the last couple of years and, have put me in quite a bad mood.”
He offered the example of a “liberal blogger publicly stating that he wanted to ‘skin me alive,’ ” and a protest outside his office led by Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) “castigating me as a ‘misogynist.’ “
“I find it interesting that in all of these instances, the media simply dismissed the incidents,” West said. “One might wonder — is it open season on a principled black conservative?”
He ended his letter on a bit of a macho note: “Let me be very clear to all reading this missive, but mostly to liberals who subscribe to this behavior, be careful of whom you are choosing to employ these tactics against…I consider myself an easy-going fella who will always engage in intense intellectual exchange. However, if you choose this path of personal attacks, intimidation, and threats you will encounter a very different Congressman (LTC. Ret) Allen B. West.”

What 99% of American citizens truly care about is what the content of your character and the results of your actions make. Certainly, it’s atrocious for a citizen to send unidentified white powder to your office. But it’s even more of a crime against humanity for you to play a race card on this. They know that if he decides to run for the presidency that he will be difficult, if not impossible, to beat. I am a southern, white, senior citizen who will volunteer to work for his campaign in any capacity, should he decide to run. I have listened to most of his speeches and watched the videos of his campaing stops and town hall meetings. This is a man who says what he believes and fulfills his promises. He is brilliant and can cite references and examples for anything he chooses to talk about. If this country is to survive the next ten years, it will require a leader like Allen West.

Somebody explain to me what this guy is FOR. Please, send a a link to an op-ed, policy statement, anything that says, in some concrete form, what he is FOR.
We all here love anyone who shouts down a Muslim in a town house meeting (his claim to fame) and proclaims that he would not hire any Muslim into his cabinet or nominate any Muslim to be a Federal judge. Of course that is a direct contradiction to the word and spirit of the Article VI, paragraph 3 of the United States Constitution which states that, “…no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.”
But you guys don’t care do you?
If there is anything I‘ve learned from this website it’s this: fear and hatred trump the Constitution and trump the teachings of Christ every single time.

An American man who knows his own worth.
Knows his duty as a man, son, brother, husband, father, friend and citizen.
I’d say he took the oportunity of the true American Dream and ran with it, is STILL running with it.
Check this out: awards and decorations include the Bronze Star; Meritorious Service Medal (two Oak Leaf Clusters); Army Commendation Medal (two Oak Leaf Clusters, one Valor Device); Army Achievement Medal (one Oak Leaf Cluster); Valorous Unit Award; Air Assault Badge; and the Parachutist Badge.
West has received the following service medals and ribbons: National Defense Service Medal (with bronze star device); Southwest Asia Service Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Army Overseas Service Ribbon (multiple awards); Saudi Arabia Kuwait Liberation Medal W/Palm Tree and Kuwait Liberation Medal.
Knows his duty as a soldier and officer as well.
That’s a good photo of him at the top, looking at it has me wondering how fitting it would be
to have him as the next president. A bookend in history.
The History Books and historians would be hard pressed not to outline the example of the utter differences between Obama and West, the socialist and the Conservative, the utter failure and the
restoration of American values.
That the left would be having conniptions, would be icing on the apple pie.

Article VI, paragraph 3 of the United States Constitution which states that, “…no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.” He said that if elected President he WOULD impose a religious test: if you’re Muslim you will not be in his cabinet nor will he nominate you to be a Federal judge based your religion.
And of course he’s also saying that he would flagrantly violate Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which prohibits employment discrimination based on race, creed, religion, color or national origin.
Watchtheotherhand you are a good guy and and although you may resent the government interference in hiring practices of private businesses both by the Constitution and subsequent law, you must see the value to our country. Civil rights laws were imposed on businesses to prevent them from relagating blacks to the back of the bus, preventing blacks from ordering food from a Woolworth’s counter and preventing anyone from discriminating against minorities. And the country has benefited incredibly by allowing minorities to succeed at a level beyond cleaning houses and mowing lawns.
Legally enforced equality? Yes. But the United States is better off for it. If we still had “white only” water fountains, it would be a little hard to claim the higher moral ground as a country.
In any case, Cain saying he wouldn’t hire or nominate any person, solely on the basis of their religion totally disregarding any other qualification they might have is offensive, illegal, and and a direct challenge to the US Constitution.

I‘m sure no major media outlet will pick the story up but evil hates the light and if enough tea party rep’s contribute all their vile hate mail eventually one might hope “independent voters” and even some Democrats will wake up and see what their own party is doing.
Funny but you ever notice that everything the “left” accuses the tea party and republicans of doing turns out to be what the left is really doing. EX: violent rhetoric, calling for violence, bigotry, racism, voter fraud, voter intimidation, fabricating stories, biased journalism, Seizing the internet, kickbacks to big companies, I could go on but you get the point. It’s time to bring the darkness out into the light, cause darkness cannot stand the light.
West, Sir, I still think you need to run for President, I am praying that you have a change of heart and throw your hat in the ring. Please reconsider!
