Rep. Allen West (R-FL) appeared on “Fox & Friends” this morning to discuss his recent verbal throwdown with a representative from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) who tried to paint West as an Islamaphobe.
In his interview with Fox on Wednesday morning, West quoted Tom Petty in explaining his reaction: “I won’t back down.” He also uttered some more no-nonsense words that have made him a popular speaker among conservatives, such as saying we should not play “footsy” with our enemies. That makes sense consider West is a former Army Colonel:

Posted on February 23, 2011 at 9:25amInteresting Article from Atlas Shrugs and Geller yesterday regarding Soros’s Open Society working with (and within) our own State Department – something about bringing Democracy to Muslim Nations? Great! We all knew Hillary is George’s soul mate, but since when does this organization have the blessings of our State Department and such an active role in our Foreign Policy? I think Col. West might have strong opinions about this also.

Posted on February 23, 2011 at 6:26pmagree, w/you & another post-er. I think both West & Christie need to ‘complete their chores first’ before we propel them into the WH. They’ll be able to establish more credibility, and stronger foundations & track records before embarking on that journey.
Report Post »I also agree that Sarah & Michele are better ‘kingmakers’ right now, rather than becoming the ‘King’ (ok Queens’, but you know what I mean :) ). I’m also wondering if both Trump & Cain can bring some much needed business/job building expertise to the table in cabinet positions once/if we are blessed enough to get back in the WH. I just hope someone comes on the scene soon for 2012. I’m horrified at what this guy is doing to our country & praying we can hang tough the next 2 years. The truth is, he is a very formidable opponent and we can’t kid ourselves otherwise.

I think you are wrong. I think that we’ll have a Republican House AND Senate AND POTUS in 2012. But then, you could be right and I could be wrong.
One thing is for certain: Allen West is in the radar now! And, Progressives will be buzzing around him the same as they did Sarah Palin! (GO FOR IT, Progressives! You’ll get your rosterium burned!)
Report Post »teachermitch32
Posted on February 23, 2011 at 4:59pmI know there are alot of Sarah supporters for 2012 but I think we would be unified in a greater fashion if she (Sarah Palin) came out and endorsed Herman Caine and/ or Rep. West for 2012. Her endorsment would go farther for a Constitution supporting party than her running at all. Bachman’s endorsement would help tremendously as well. That being said I believe that people like a. West and Chris Cristie, who say they want to do more for awhile at there state jobs first, probably will not run and will then consentrate on their perspective jobs at hand, and rightly so.

Posted on February 23, 2011 at 9:53amAllen west is 100% correct. We as the Conservatives in this nation need to stop backing down to people we know are dead wrong, we need to stop letting people cast us as caricatures that we are not, we need to stop letting them explain what conservatism is and instead tell them what it is. We must stop them from telling poeple that the founders would have backed them, and tell the truth about their lies.
People whether you want to believe it or not, a fight is coming, and right now WE dont need spineless conservatives walking around being apologetic for being a conservative. We need people like MR West out there telling the cold hard truth, and you need to be doing this as well. American Socialism is here, and they are looking to take over, do not let this happen.

I believe all these great people like West and Christie are not running for President because like many people they understand how the country was setup to run by the founding fathers. you have to start fixing the problem at the lowest level not at the top. Fixing things from the top is how we got where we are today. Things need to be fixed at the state and local level before we can see a good and permanent change at the federal level.

I’m from LA and Bobby caters to special interests and is RAISING FEES in LA in the form of mandating more hours for college students and running continual deficit spending. Jindal is a RINO at best and do not believe the hype. Tune in to 710KEEL.com from 9-11 and listen to the facts for yourself. Jindal has been given a plan by the treasury secretary Kennedy that does not include layoffs, furloughs, etc., but Jindal refuses to use it but calls for more spending controls and cuts while he supports higher taxes on new businesses in the state. We are the highest business tax state in the US right now and are terribly unfriendly to the small businesses and larger companies as well. Jindal is not the man for the VP job!
