Allen West: I ‘Believe’ About 80 House Dems Are Communists, and Obama is ‘Too Scared’ to Debate Me

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla) gave a characteristically energetic speech at a town hall event Tuesday evening, where he estimated that around 80 U.S. Representatives are Communist Party members.
After one person asked him about “card-carrying” Marxists in Congress, West responded to those who brushed aside the query.
“No, it’s a good question,” he said, adding: “I believe there is about 78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party that are members of the Communist Party.”
The Palm Beach Post hedged that a little by saying West said he’s “heard” that many are Communists. You can listen for yourself below:
West’s camp, however, isn’t backing down from the statement.
A spokeswoman for West, Angela Melvin, told the Washington Post that West was referring to the 76 members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
“The Communist Party has publicly referred to the Progressive Caucus as its allies,” Melvin said. “The Progressive Caucus speaks for itself. These individuals certainly aren’t proponents of free markets or individual economic freedom.”
And campaign manager Tim Edson echoed that sentiment.
“He stands by the comments,” Edson told WaPo. “Call them what you want; they’re clearly people who oppose capitalism and free markets and individual economic freedom. So, if the shot fits.”
He did, however, clarify once pushed on whether the members West was referring to were actually Communist Party members:
We can quibble about the terminology used to describe them, but it’s clear. Whatever you call people that oppose capitalism and free markets and individual economic freedom — maybe it’s ‘socialist,’ maybe it’s ’Communist’ — but that’s the point the congressman was making, and he stands by the words.
Without identifying by name the 80 in question, West went on to attack President Obama as being too “scared” to have a public debate with him. The president was in Florida at the time, attending campaign events and speaking on the economy.
The Palm Beach Post reports West’s statements:
‘I really wish that, standing here before you, was Allen West and President Obama,’ West said. ‘We could have a simple discussion. But that ain’t ever gonna happen.’
‘Why not?’ an audience member asked.
‘Cuz he was too scared!’ West responded in a mocking voice.
A Tea Party favorite, Allen West is known for his fiery language. He is well-remembered for telling President Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi to take their message of economic dependency and enslaving the entrepreneurial will of the American people “the hell out of the United States America” back in January.
West’s political opponent Patrick Murphy responded to West’s comments: “The bottom line is, Allen West is trying to make it in the press with comments that don’t even make sense…He’s trying to make headlines, get a rise out of people and not get anything done.”
Retiring Rep. Barney Frank, a member of the Progressive Caucus, also fired back.
“Not even Joe McCarthy would have said anything so stupid and dissociated from reality,” Frank told The Huffington Post. “It’s an indication of the significant deterioration of the Republican Party as a responsible entity that an ignorant, mean guy like Allen West is considered one of their stars.”

West is a member of the so-called “Black Caucus”, so I’m sure he could tell you how many members there are. He might want to focus on his own group of separatists first. Not that I’m against him exposing Communists, but he’s already a member of a racist organization.
I’m sick of West being tied to the Tea Party. I think he’s already demonstrated that was a farce. He supported the Debt Limit increase, and then called the Tea Party “schizophrenic” when we criticized him.
The Tea Party, who’s central plank is fiscal responsibility, helped get you into power, but then you prove you don‘t support fiscal responsibility and WE’RE the schizophrenic ones?

The story doesn’t say card carrying communists.
For one calling someone a card carrying communist is a phrase (1), which means they sympathize with communism or Communist countries. This would describe many a Democrat.
For another given the practice of takiya, a person could find a suitable party such as the Democrats, but really be Communists at heart. The Muslims aren‘t the only one’s who practice takiya. They are just the ones, who have coined the concept.
We have also heard Democrats running for or holding the office of House Representative or Senator that the Constitution didn’t matter. Well when you hear things from the mouths of Democrats, you get worried.

That kind of “purge” of officials and private citizens is exactly what Stalin did in Russia, Mao did in China, Pol Pot did in Cambodia and so on. Somehow I doubt you know much about history, but the “purge” concept that sprang from your brain is pretty close to what those “communist” dictators did. I can’t say your ahead of your time, because that’s all been done before, but this is America and we don’t purge people based on political beliefs, real or imagined. Now, if you like that concept, then you’d be happier in Cambodia or China. You and West Coast Patriot could probably get discount air fair to there. They even waterboard people there.

Mostly the “state” colleges funded by the taxpayer who has no idea what is going on. I know folks who are going to these shams of colleges and getting “masters” and “doctorates” …..yes doctorates….{.just because they can write a thesis…and not actually accomplish somethng in real life..}. They all believe now that we should have socialism in our country. AND, if you are not paying attention, these are the folks that are aquiring the so called “credentials” behind them and get into goverment and lead policy. They have it fugured out. Second, concerning the NDAA. I just watched a video where West read the page of the bill that explicitly states that the powers of detention do not apply to US citizens and legal resident aliens. He also read the summary of the bill from the committee that says the same thing. And he’s on the Armed Services Committee and was a conferee on the bill. As far as opposing the bill, I have to think long and hard before I agree with the ACLU and people like Dennis Kucinich.

Oh, he questioned a heck of a lot of people. He accused a lot of organisations. He alluded to industries. He implied conspiracy’s. He asked a lot of people if they were. He demanded of a lot of people to tell who the “commies” were.
But not once did he ever name one single person.
Not once did he ever show any proof.
Did you know many military historians will tell you that the stigma of McCarthy, the fear of being called a “commie sympathizer” is what caused so many in power to go along with the travesty called “Vietnam.”
He did nothing but intimidate others into going along with his paranoid witch hunt out of fear of being called a communist themselves.
He would have fit right in with the Nazi propaganda department, or KGB agents terrorizing the population to stay silent and do as they were told.
Was and are there communists in our government? Yes. But all JM did was throw spaghetti against the wall, knowing some would stick in the form of tainting individuals…most of whom were OBVIOUSLY innocent.
But…as long as SOME were guilty…though he did not know who, and NEVER NAMED A SINGLE ONE…that is ok.
