Allen West on Potential Vice Presidential Run: I’m ‘Willing and Ready to Serve’ in Whatever Capacity

On CNN’s Starting Point with Soledad O’Brien Tuesday morning, Florida Congressman Allen West responded to talk that a future GOP nominee should tap him as to become a running mate. He said that he would be ready and willing to take on a vice presidential run and to serve in any capacity necessary.
“As far as the Vice President thing, you know, who knows,” he said. “Because it wasn’t too long ago I was sitting in the desert of Kandahar, Afghanistan, and now I’m here talking with you. … I am always willing and ready to serve my country in whatever capacity that the American people would desire.”
HotAir adds:
Sarah Palin was far from the first person to think that Allen West would be a compelling choice for the No. 2 spot on the ticket. Our own Patrick Ishmael has included Allen West as a potential VP candidate in Hot Air readership polls for months — and Hot Air readers have frequently vaulted him to the top of their preferred list. Still, Palin, as a former particularly energizing VP candidate herself, put West on the national vice presidential radar.
West‘s sense of duty and service to country certainly hasn’t stopped with his military or congressional roles.

It was hand delivered by Attorney Orly Taitz and the Chief of Staff said that Congressman West would get back to her in a week. Well THREE MONTHS have gone by and NOTHING from Congressman West. It seems he is concerned more about his political career than demanding an investigation into the numerous criminal activities of this President. West is black and would be the perfect person to demand the investigation, it would take the RACIST card off the table. If he doesn’t have the SPINE to do it than he is not qualified to be Vice-President, it is as simple as that. If he can‘t go toe to toe with this gangster administration and cowardly media he isn’t ready for the big time.
Richard Nixon was forced to resign for much less than what Obama is being accused of. Bill Clinton was impeached by the House for much less than what Obama is being accused of. This is a slam dunk investigation being carried out by Sheriff Joe Arpaio and the Cold Case Posse, all West has to do is carry the torch into the House of Representatives.

I mean mother Teressa, Gandhi and MLK all rolled into one. Then as the campaign rolled on pick Allen West as VP, get elected and then promptly step down right after inauguration. Of course, someone like Rubio would have to be Speaker of the House so as to avoid getting a worthless VP. Of course I am overlooking his RINO past, taking him at face value and his own word that he is for the people now, and forgiving him of many past sins…But I can do all that, and I love listening to Newt. I can understand why Palin is even entertaining him, though she seems to have a RINO detection problem herself…
But you need to understand that Newt has almost as little chance as Paul does. Just not gonna happen and no point wasting any time or thought on the matter. I give Santorum a very slight chance but have little doubt it will be Romney.
