Allen West Responds to Weinergate Question at Town Hall by Cracking Jokes

Rep. Allen West (R-FL) was at a town hall meeting last night when he was asked if he thought Rep. Anthony Weiner (embroiled in a steamy photo scandal with multiple women) should resign. He responded by cracking a couple jokes.

The first one was a play off of Weiner’s name. After the person who asked the question mispronounced Weiner’s name, West corrected him by exaggerating the correct pronunciation. “First of all it’s Weeener,” he said while laughing.

He then vowed to his family and his constituents, “I’m not going to let you down.” But he quickly quipped again, “at the end of the day I’m too tired.” The crowd erupted in laughter and applause:

    I hope West is more careful not to fall into these kinds of traps where he feels he is above it. The mighty have fallen and we don’t have to look far to find the road strewn with their carcasses. Stay centered and just Sen West and you’ll do fine. Don‘t speak ill of others even when they’ve have spoken ill of you. Take the higher ground and we’ll follow.       I dated a guy for a while who was an EOD tech and who was part of the bomb team fro the first Bush as well as the clintons, his response to me when I asked him was that Hillary was getting more p***y than Bill was. he was an honest guy, so I have no doubt that this truely is the case.

      I really like Allen West. He gave up his commission to save the lives of his men. How can anyone give more than that to save those he is responsible for. Oh, Jesus gave his life to save us, as unworthy as so many are. Simple as that, I’d have done the same thing. All my adult life I’ve said I would shoot to kill anyone if they sexually abused my kids, and I meant it with all my heart.. Thank God I didn’t have to shoot anyone, but I prepared myself to always be ready. That and prayer saved me from having to take the bull by the horns and kept my kids safe. So, I know how Col. West felt.

      Until he says “I’m running for president in 2012″ he should shut his yap. Joking like this diminshes his standing among his peers as far as being “presidential material” goes.       Bro, how was it illegal? And don’t give me that Geneva Convention crap, The Geneva Convention ONLY applies to UNIFORMED service personal (ie those who belong to military force established by a nation, and one that also recognizes and adheres to The Geneva Convention), the people you are talking about are terrorist, terrorist do not fall under the protection of the Convention.

      Now if you want to say it’s immoral, and can make a clear argument for it being immoral, then you might have a case, but I‘m sure there are a lot of good people that would be able to argue the reason it isn’t immoral, including me.

      Personally I WISH West would run.. just as much as I didn’t like OBAMA and saw through him..       Nick – Don‘t worry about Bob’s constant insistence on demonizing a certain sect of people, in this case the Muslims, to justify his irrationality that all problems are generated by evil Islam. He is simply a victim of the propaganda of fear mongering. The idea is to generate enemies within societies, to distract people from the real enemies, our real enemy being our over sized government and expensive wars.

      Bob – You are truly irrational beyond words. I understand it may be easy to demonize a certain religion, but religions are used as weapons of evil constantly throughout history, Christianity being one of them. Of course however, any religion’s intent is usually far from evil.

      If you truly want an enemy to direct some unwanted aggression, I would suggest directing it to the leaders who constantly violate your God given liberties in the name of “safety”. The same “safety” that has propelled you to hate Muslims.

      Labelism is evil in itself because you pass a general judgment on groups of people. Labelism helps certain people silence, squelch, and disarm their opponents. Try for a change taking an individualist perspective, and judge the individual not the label.

      Furthermore, maybe you should take a hint from your own faith? “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Your neighbor this time around happens to be Muslim.

      1. of or pertaining to a centralized government that does not tolerate parties of differing opinion and that exercises dictatorial control over many aspects of life.

      In your context, the first definition would not be right for Islam so we will assume the second.

      So, now that we have a true definition how exactly is any other religion NOT totalitarian ideology, and how is it a negative definition. Furthermore, the antithesis of any religion is an agnostic approach, not any one religion.

      You can always tell when people are desperate to justify an unjustifiable argument, when they start slinging senseless insults.

      Interestingly enough, I am probably more of a “patriot” then you, and more “understanding” of Islam than you, since I was deployed in the 82nd ABN 1-504th PIR as an infantryman for 15 months in Baghdad at FOB Loyalty.

      Our biggest enemy is the Tyrants that run our country here in America, and should be our first concern. Fighting pointless wars against people who want to be left alone seems silly enough to me.

      The bottom line is, the fact that you use falsehoods to spread some fictitious propaganda that we should hate all Muslims is ridiculous. There are many Muslims in Iraq, I know for sure, that cooperate with the United States.

      Allen West is only a war criminal and was drummed out of the military for his treatment of enemy prisoners and hindering the investigation. The man is a disgrace to his nation.

      He saved the lives of his battalion by doing what he did. He called for permission for enhanced interrogation, was denied it, told the guy to draw up his discharge papers, and hung up the phone.

      He then took his loaded weapon, fired it into what they call a clearing barrel to show the Iraqi police that it was loaded, and then he pointed it to the guy’s groin. The guy spilled the beans about the ambush, and West saved the lives of his battalion. How does that make him a disgrace? He’s not going to be intimidated!

      If he’s such a disgrace, why did he U.S. send him to Afghanistan after that?
      Go look in the mirror if you’re hunting for a disgrace to this nation. You’ll find him looking back at you.

      1- Going to heaven makes people happy
      2- ******* believe if that if they die normally heaven hit or miss; if they die as a martyr they get an instant ticket through the pearly gates

      Conclusion:

      Gee, even that Progressive Puke OBUMMER admitted that without the “enhanced interrogation” of those wonderful human beings at GitMo (and I use the term “human” very loosely here), Osama Bin Laden would never have been caught. You can weep for those poor little Al Quidas at GitMo if you like–I’ll shed no tears for them, after what they did in New York on 9-11.

      This is a totally specious argument, since Weiner’s internet antics are in no way equivalent to interrogation of terrorist suspects. Maybe if most of our government weren’t busy surfing porn sites and posting Weiner pictures on the internet, they might have averted the 9/11 attacks in the first place.
