Allen West Slams Geithner: ‘When You Open That Refrigerator Door the Lights Don’t Come On’

Many liberals, like John Kerry, are brazenly trying to point the finger at the Tea Party for the recent downgrade of U.S. debt, but Congressman Allen West is having none of it.

Speaking to Fox News, Rep. West dismissed comments blaming the Tea Party as ‘”insidious,” and placed all the blame on Democrats who refuse to cut spending and continue to pretend — for political reasons — that taxes are the answer to the debt crisis. Rep. West rightly pointed out that when the Democrats took over Congress in 2007,  the debt was $8.6 trillion. Today it is $14.5 trillion.

The Florida Congressman said it is possible for the U.S. to begin getting its fiscal house in order, but stated he has no patience for those who continue to press wrongheaded policies. West singles out Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner for particularly harsh criticism, saying that:

“When you open that refrigerator, the lights don’t come on. So, I really think that he should move on and we should have someone else.”

Now ya got me pi$$ed. I am so sick and tired of ppl in leadership tearing us apart. Rich, poor, black, white, yada yada…Sick of it….

Marco Rubio is no more legally qualified to be POTUS than Obama because he (RUBIO)
is not born of two American citizens. One can not have it both ways ….

Mr. Obama and Mr. Rubio are both fully legally entitled to run for President. They are both natural-born citizens under the actual laws of this country. If you think that we should operate under laws based on what some people in the nineteenth century thought should be the definition of a natural born citizen before the Supreme Court finally ruled on the issue, then you need to either pass a Constitutional Amendment or get the current Supreme Court to overturn a precedent that has stood for almost half of our history. Good luck with that.

Age and Citizenship requirements – US Constitution, Article II, Section 1

No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.

There is nothing in the Constitution stating the individual must have 2 US Citizen parents. Rubio is qualified to run for President.

      Psychosis
“child born on US soil to TWO US CITIZENS” Says who? Not the Constitution, and definitely not the Supreme Court when they finally had to settle the issue, which people were still arguing about over a hundred years after the passage of the Constitution. What source do you have for this belief other than crackpot sites that publish scholarly sounding gobbledygook full of out of context quotes from irrelevant court cases and foreign law books from the eighteenth century?

Mr. Rubio’s father did not become a citizen until several years after Mr. Rubio was born, so if you were right he would not be eligible to run, but since you are wrong, he is.

Of immigrant parents? This is new. Not to mention funny.

Allen West is right on the mark, Geitner has to go, but the guy that picks his replacement will find someone worse and that’s practically impossible. That is the only reason I don’t want Obama to resign, look who we would have to step in. Isn’t the Democrat party just the best. One bad apple after another. Can you imagine what we would be hearing if Biden was allowed to open his pie hole. Hey, have you seen Debbie “this is our economy” Schultz lately? She does remind me of Schultz from Hogan’s Heroes but he was funny, she’s scary. Go Allen go!! Another winner from Rubio country.

Agreed, there are plenty of over educated pinhead marxists for BO to choose from. Replacing little Timmy would only be symbolic, and the last thing BO is going to do is admit that he, or anyone in his administration made a mistake. Besides, his goal is to destroy, not restore, so Timmy’s doing just wonderful.

If he doesn’t fix the vote or withhold elections because he has to fight all us terrorists. He’s done a fine job….of whipping up racial tensions and setting us back to the 60′s, of whipping up thw class wars.
