Allen West to Conservatives: ‘You Must Be Like Sharks That Smell Blood In the Water & You Must Attack’

Rep. Allen West (R-FL) is known for his fiery — and fearless — commentary. In a speech he delivered to the Broward Republican Executive Committee in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the congressman delved into many of the challenges facing the nation. He encouraged the audience to “fight back against…liberal progressivism” and he accused those on the left of attempting to create fear and separation among Americans.

Allen West Targets Liberals & Rallies Conservatives In Fort Lauderdale, Florida

West commenced the speech by speaking about some of the protesters who had assembled outside of his address at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six Fort, referring to them as “chuckleheads.”

“A chucklehead is a person who is so inept and incompetent that all you can do is look at them and laugh,” West said.

But he didn’t spend long describing his detractors, as he moved on to the economy and some of the progressive values he believes are dangerous to the nation’s survival.

“This is a moral discussion we’ve having in this country, because we‘re talking about what we’re going to leave for our children and grandchildren,” West said, going on to share his feelings about American liberals. ”I feel sorry for them because for whatever reason they don’t know the essence of the greatness of the United States of America.”

In discussing these issues, the congressman encouraged the audience to take part in the ideological battlefield that will inevitably determine who controls the nation’s political landscape.

“You must be like sharks that smell blood in the water and you must attack,” he told the audience. “Ladies and gentlemen, you don’t win on defense. You win on offense.”

This is the most incredible speech, ever. Allen West comes out swinging hard against the left and doesn’t stop until his speech is over. He hits the left over their collectivist ideology. He hits them over their collectivist policies. And he encourages Republicans to “find the enemy and fight them wherever they are” just like American paratroopers from the 101st and 82nd airborne did the night before D-day.

      Allen West thanks for your decades of continual service to the government and society! For your entire adult life you have represented all that is best about the government workforce!

      We need to respect Lt. Colonel West, US Congressional Representative of Florida (R-Plantation), who selflessly gave up his very independence to live communally with his comrades in arms, sacrificing his capitalist rights to profit from his labor and even relinquishing his personal freedom of choice by swearing publicly to faithfully follow any and all orders handed down by the faceless Chain Of Command.

      Guys like him can spot Communists a mile away! He NEEDS to be our next Vice President – and will serve at least as well as Dick Cheney would!

      Republicans/conservatives don’t necessarily “retreat”…they just whine, quibble, and go into Perot like splinter groups and split the really important votes..such as the one coming up with Obama..
      …Enough of them will whine because their candidate didn’t get the nomination, and either won’t vote, or will vote for a third party..giving Obama his second term..guaranteed..
      Then when Obama is reelected, there will be so much spit and venom on conservative side about how they can’t understand it all… it will be “hello Greece”….or worse.for Americans.

      i have never voted democrat..probably never will.. i have lost respect for what i am seeing labeled as “republican”…
      BUT..sharks?…more like a bunch of guppies.
      Democrats get together and bulldoze themselves into power. Republicans?, not so much so .
      I believe we need a third party.

      I do not think that West will be VP as I do not think Paul would ask him. Paul is still in this race people. He takes the majority of delegates in Iowa, Maine, Nevada, and is going to pick up more in every state. A lot of Romneys delegates right now are Paul supporters and according to convention primary rule 38, no delegate is bound by any state to any one candidate. It is going to be an exciting convention in Tampa. All of you who think Paul has no chance, research the rules, research the delegate counts so far and do not research with the main stream medias like, Fox,or pollsters like Rassmussen or any other that is bought by the establishment as they are either incompetent or out and out lying to deceive you.       I am a huge fan of Col West now Congressman West. When he took on the Military and finally left the service due to the cowardly acts of his higher ups I became a fan. He saved the lives of many of his men by being aggressive in his efforts to gain information from the enemy and for that he suffered lose. The military has made many bad mistakes in prosecuting brave soldiers, LTC Terry Lakin being the most horrific injustice.

      Congressman West was hand delivered enough criminal evidence to run Obama right out of office via a recommendation for a criminal investigation. He has sat on that information for nearly 5 months now and has remained silent. I thought he would have jumped all over the Sheriff Joe Arpaio investigation since much of the information was given to him months in advance. He has enabled this usurper to exist an additional 6 months by not acting on the evidence. I don’t get it.

      MONK…don’t worry about MOREACNE. It was a trap for me and I didn’t bite. She/he has a problem with dates and times though if you scroll up on the board you’ll see that.

      She/she‘s upset now because I wont’ let the lefty cur get away with it. So now he/she tries to play gotcha with me all the time. She/he‘s even resorted to trying to say I’m not allowed to vote in the U.S. after becoming a citizen. It’s all revenge driven for MOREACNE…she/he messed up and now has to constantly deal with the fallout of it. I actually voted for Mccain however I have educated myself quite a bit since the last elections.       For those of you who hope Allen West will be chosen for the VP position, forget it. You know why? I realize those here think he’s really awesome, but the average American doesn’t. Getting kicked out of the Service for his actions violated the Geneva Convention and the Code of Conduct in Iraq endears himself to a few, but not many. His in-your-face-I’ll-lie-about-anything statement that other congressmen are “members of the Communist Party” may appeal to the ignorant, but not most Americans.

      Telling Americans, and fellow Congressman he disagrees with to “get the hell out of our country” may seem awesome to a few, but most of us believe of us believe in the Democratic process, which includes disagreement. The Founding Father wouldn’t be too impressed with someone who calls for his opponents to “leave the country.”

      Please don’t make me recall more West quotes. He proved in Iraq he’s got issues with anger and when he talks he frequently strays into the “crazy zone,” perhaps by design, to get headlines, but there’s no way anyone would pick him for VP, any more than Herman Cain, Newt, or Ron Paul.

      Not happening.

      Regarding the accusations against West’s testicular fortitude: as per a March townhall, he issued an open invitation for anyone to tell that to his face – that would include you, common sense.

      As for abandoning the voters out of fear (???) – this is a man who spent part of his life being shot at.

      The redistricting maps aren’t finalized yet, but rumor has it my part of FL 22 will be in the new FL 18.

      When the Democrats control the Senate & the Presidency. The Republicans do not have a veto proof majority in the House of Representatives. When past experience has shown that when you shut down government has hurt Republicans due to the press where 85% of reporters are liberal.

      The President will bald face lie about the results of a shutdown. they tell seniors that their checks won’t come.

      When you are out numbered 2 or 3 to 1 a slow steady retreat where you harry the enemy & pull him away for his base works. It worked against Napoleon in 1812 & it has worked many times.

      If the debt ceiling was not raised however grudgingly, it would be,like a government shutdown, Republicans would be blamed.

      Did you even f_cking listen to Glen when he explained budgets & how much or how little power the Republicans had when negotiating with the Senate controlled by Harry Reid & the President?

      I went to the site with his votes. He voted no to extending the patriot act. He voted yes for certain provisions of the patriot act. He voted yes for prohibiting TSA collective bargaining. He voted for a balance budget every time it was brought up for a vote. He did go along with the idiot Beiner on raising the debt ceiling. Your and BADDOGGY’s claims are not entirely accurate.

      You make some excellent points, I’ll even say that you are a man of principles, which is to be admired.

      It is very possible that a better way of choosing our leaders than the two-party system we currently have could be devised, however that is not in the range of options right now.

      Many people here may agree with what a lot of RP is saying, however they may think he is too extreme on certain subjects. He may be 100% right, but it may be too big a jump right now.

      “You‘ve got to know when to hold ’em; know when to fold ‘em” as the old song goes.

      Romney was not my first choice – and I’m a Latter Day Saint – but he is the horse we’ve got in the race.

If we wait for there to be another honest man running who has 30 years of voting in congress where he NEVER voted against the Constitution, it may be too late. I know that they say Romney’s it, but I’ve also heard that the delegate strat is going to make it interesting. At least throw the BS flag with us and tell the RNC to play by their own rules and not change them in the middle of a primary. They‘re threatening not to seat all of NV’s delegates at the Convention.

      Ron Paul is as radical as Obama. Obama is trying to decimate our military and Ron Paul would continue that aspect. Granted, I do not think we should be all over the world as protectors/enforcers either. We should maintain a strong military. Research and development of protective also should be a top priorty.       My view suggests that the Tea Party is more of a localized power and may not be powerful enough at this point to put someone in the presidency, however, we can affect our local offices (congressmen, etc.) and this in turn will be a buffer in keeping Romney honest.

      I think that is why Freedom Works is focusing on the Senate.

      I keep reminding myself that there are three branches in the government, unless Obama gets re-elected and Congress becomes irrelevant.

      It is so important to get rid of Obama that I get nervous when RP supporters threaten to vote third party, splitting the conservative vote and allowing him to get back in.

      We need to unite, even if it is begrudgingly.

We can do more. Letters to the editor, call in talk shows, and yes, bumper stickers. Set up information tables on public sites and be prepared to discuss the U S Constitution and the amendments that have been ignored by our public officials for far to long. Contact the National Center for Constitutional Studies and buy a box of pocket constitutions with all amendments and the Deceleration of Independence. Then, sell or donate them to people or local schools for helping our fellow citizens regain our culture.

He won‘t put us in harm’s way unless he has too and when he does it would actually be to defend the Constitution and fight for freedom. Plus he’d actually let us win one. When I hear the others speak, all I hear is that they want to continue to use us so THEY can rule the world with the foreign elite counterparts.

If Ron Paul spoke out against drugs he would probably lose 75% of his supporters and thats a fact.     Mitt Romney NEEDS this man for VP. If he would be willing to let Allen West play the position of Deborah to his Barak (if you know the Biblical story), Allen would do the “in your face” fighting that Mitt Romney finds so politically intimidating.

    And Allen West would provide US the American People a VITAL VOICE for Constitutional Consistency that is LACKING with Mitt Romney!!! With Allen West on the ticket, he could win Tea Party people over because we would KNOW that we had a VOICE in Washington that WILL NOT BE TOLD TO SIT DOWN, AND SHUT UP!!!

    Have to agree … offense is better than defense .. especially in politics .. must set the discussion and debate to center on Obama’s record (miserable on that it is) and his agenda … TO BRING DOWN THE COUNTRY. Need a shark in the VP slot for certain. And then you need to let the shark do it’s work (unlike the last election where McLame just wanted to make “nice”)

      The problem is that “most of us” really don’t know, if we (the country) did, we wouldn’t need a shark because people would vote against Communism…unless “most of us” are also ok with Marxism.

      I just don’t think “most people” will allow themselves to see the forest for the trees, in which case a “shark” announcing at every stop that our President is a Marxist, will do more damage than good.

      It is kind of like trying to convince a person more concerned with American Idol or their next manicure that they need to have food storage because there is a good possibility that we could all be facing a long term crisis soon. They look at you like you have two heads.

      @FLIPPER .. I was lucky enough to see Palin in person during the 08 election … yes she was a shark .. but McLame wouldn’t let her do her job as number 2 on the ticket ….. he wouldn’t have gotten the votes he did without Palin that I am certain of…

      BTW if you watch SHARK WEEK this year .. they had the Guy Harvey Shark Catch right near my home last weekend it will be on Shark Week. (they catch and release most .. a few go to research)

      Very few in Washington have a grip on reality. West is the only exception I have to the one term limitation. I have mixed feelings about term limits because what‘s to keep them from being a lame duck their whole term if they know they don’t have another one? I’m more for paying them what the “average” American gets, which is something like $57,000 a year. And their retirement benefits should be prorated according to how many years they actually served, like the military. I served 4 years and get no pension. My husband served 20 years and only gets around $1400 a month. And give them the same health care our military gets.

    Lt. Col. Retired Allen West is the man I am writing in. I refuse to vote any longer for “the lesser of two evils” just to “win” an election. AMERICA, this is it! We vote for GOD’s man for AMERICA if we want to be here any longer as a nation.

      Have you read THE HARBINGER yet or seen the video “AGENDA: Grinding America Down”? (not about Agenda 21 but about the Communists’ plans to destroy AMERICA from within). I am learning more and more not to put my trust in man, but only in GOD ALMIGHTY HIMSELF. Along the way, I try to pass on what I have learned that will help others, if they will read and watch.
