Allen West Unleashed: ‘Barack Obama Is Undeserving of the Title Commander-in-Chief’

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) posted a scathing statement on his Facebook page Friday, saying President Obama’s decision “to unleash his campaign cronies against our military is unconscionable.”
“As a retired Army officer I am appalled at the Obama administration’s actions to bring a lawsuit against the State of Ohio for the early voting privileges it extends to our Men and Women serving in uniform,” West wrote.
“To have the Commander in Chief make our US Servicemen and Women the target of a political attack to benefit his reelection actions is reprehensible. The voting privilege extended to these Warriors who represent the best among us should not be a part of the collective vision of this inept President who is more concerned about his reelection than sequestration. As a Combat Veteran, for this President to unleash his campaign cronies against our Military is unconscionable….how dare this President compare the service, sacrifice, and commitment of those who Guard our liberties not as special and seek to compare them to everyone else. Barack Obama is undeserving of the title Commander-in-Chief.”
West’s statement was in response to decision by the Obama campaign, along with the Democratic National Committee and the Ohio Democratic Party, to sue the state of Ohio last month in an attempt to strike down changes in the state’s law that limit in-person early voting for some and not others.
Under the law, members of the armed forces and their families as well as civilians overseas can vote through the Monday before an election, while early voting for all other Ohio residents ends on that Friday. This is the disparity that the Obama campaign reportedly believes is “unconstitutional.”
And though the Obama campaign and the other Democratic groups do not want to eliminate the military’s early voting extension, as some outlets first reported, West argues the “collective” shouldn’t enjoy the same voting privileges as the men and women of the military.
Hot Air has more details about the Ohio voting lawsuit:
Gabriel Malor forwarded me a link to the brief, and the relevant language within it:
“WHEREFORE, Plaintiffs request of this Court the following equitable relief:…
B. A preliminary and permanent order prohibiting the Defendants, their respective agents, servants, employees, attorneys, successors, and all persons acting in concert with each or any of them, from implementing or enforcing lines 863 and 864 of Sec. 3509.03 (I) in HB 224, and/or the SB 295 enactment of Ohio Revised Code § 3509.03 with the HB 224 amendments, thereby restoring in-person early voting on the three days immediately preceding Election Day for all eligible Ohio voters;”
So no, they aren’t trying to block military members from getting to the polls, but arguing that since the polls will be open anyway, everyone else should have access to them as well. A couple of commenters think this will be a “logistical nightmare,” but the logistics aren’t really that scaleable. Having the polls open for a few would be the same as having them open for many. There may need to be few more election judges, but those positions are voluntary anyway.
Some outlets initially — and incorrectly — reported that the move was an effort to disenfranchise military voters.

That’s precisely the point, and the reason he is beloved by the Tea Party. He fearlessly chastizes liberals and the left wing media attacks him for it. The normal politician fearing the power of the media backs down, apologizes and kisses the left’s a**
He didn’t, and the media does it‘s best to ignore him because they’ve met someone they cannot control or influence. The few people that do this are considered outcast and pariah by the left wing media but they’ve done this before, remember when after repeated attempts to destroy the Tea Party through accusations of racism etc, they realized that they could not influence them? Remember they instead ignored them and stopped covering Tea Party events? Remember how effective that was in 2010? LOL!! They are the doing the same thing to Allen West, but it won’t matter for the same reasons.

He is obviously doing this to try to reduce the number of republican voters due to the fact soldiers in the military notoriously vote republican. He doesn‘t want the men and women who risk their lives for our country to have 3 more days to make sure their votes are included but will do everything he can to make sure that people don’t have to show their ID’s to vote. Posted on August 4, 2012 at 12:33amThis kind of tactic is not new. In the last election, the crooked Democrats saw to it that none of the absentee ballots from servicemen and women serving outside the country were counted. If that was not unConstitutional, why would it be so for a state to allow extra time for them to get their ballots in, to make sure this lying, unprincipled POTUS cannot throw them out again on the pretext that “they were received too late”.
I am sure this is only the beginning of the sleazy underhanded tricks to prevent non-Obama votes from being counted. Obama’s history shows this the kind of crooked crap he favors. He eliminated all his opponents on the ballot–with a lot of help from his fellow political crooks in Chicago–by filing BS lawsuits and citing arcane and made-up “technicalities” they supposedly violated. There is NO depth to which this POS will not stoop to get re-elected. Republicans need to have monitors stationed at EVERY polling station to make sure this POS does not steal another election.

Posted on August 4, 2012 at 1:01amThat comment is ironic coming from someone who agreed to leave the service rather than face court marshall for violating the Code of Military Conduct and Geneva Convention. West is is a loose cannon here in the US just as he was in Iraq and he just can’t help from saying crazy things, such as saying that Democrats are actually members of the Communist party. Here are some more zany comments by West:

Now, West is actually right on this one; Obama’s presidency has consisted of doing nothing but blatantly violating the Constitution in the name of “progress” or whatever, and he is undeserving of his title. Your post consists of 6 sentences. Within that short span you use 4 pejorative terms. Paulbots, whackos, pu**ys, and trolls. Very classy! Very intelligent!
You follow that up with at least 3 statements of conjecture that are at best meaningless, and at worst lies. They are that ” (we) are deluded to think that Ron Paul would be doing better in the polls than Romney”, “In the debates anyone could tell that Ron Paul is completely incompetent to run the country”, and “he would be the ruin of our country if elected.”
I challenge you to substantiate any of those assertions. Each of the three are gratuitous and can be denied in an equally gratuitous manner. If you want to support more of the same for our Republic, whether your man is President Obama or Governor Romney, then have at it. But don’t denigrate a true American like Rep. Paul, or his supporters, due to your lack of the intellectual capacity to understand the intentions of our Founders. Peace.

I am not a RP supporter, just ask BRO SMITH, JUST ANGRY & CYKONAS, I am more of an ‘anybody but Obama guy’ and it looks like Romney has a better chance to me of winning than Paul, but I will say you are off the mark entirely on this one.
‘Paulbots’, as you call them, are extremely constitutionally minded. They laugh at us for wanting a progressive RINO as much you mock them for supporting someone who you think can’t win.
I would not try to convince them they are wrong, they will tear you apart.
You say, “Paul has some good ideas, BUT…”
But what? You think returning to the Constitution is crazy? See, even I can tear you apart.
Believe me, I’m just as nervous about this election as you are. This is serious stuff. If Obama gets 4 more years, we will be in a big hole. If we all were to back one candidate it would be a landslide, but that is not going to happen.
Go easy, my friend, and learn. Don’t panic – ponder. I have learned much from my friends I’ve listed above (and others on here). I will vote for the guy I think can win, then keep a close eye on him.
However, I reserve the right to vote my principles and let the chips fall where they may.

Wow. Nicely done. I think you nailed what many conservatives are struggling with. I appluad you for having the stones to say what most won’t. Deep down, 90% of these folks know that Romney is a big government progressive. The facts are all there. As you pointed out, he probably is better than Obama. I shudder at the thought of an Obama 2nd term. What really chaps my hide though is that the people who have gotten to the point where you are then start to spin and lie. Rather than saying “Romney is a tool but I think he’s less of a tool than Obama” they try to tell you that he‘s something that he’s not or he didn’t do what he did. It’s maddening. Then, the cherry on top is that when you call them out on a constitutional argument they call you names….and then talk about the constitution. I wouldn‘t believe it if I wasn’t actually watching it happen each day.
Good luck with your voting decision. If you vote Romney then power to you. Sounds like you got to that decision with an honest evaluation of consequences and aren‘t lying to yourself or others about what you’re doing. Much respect for that. I’m voting for Gary Johnson because he more cloesely reflects what I believe. I think I can sleep at night knowing I voted for somebody I would want to be my POTUS.
Take care and Godspeed.

Posted on August 3, 2012 at 7:48pmDuring the 2008 election didn’t the votes of active military personel in war zones go uncounted? It might have been because they couldn’t vote early enough to get them stateside in time. It is worth looking up. Sad if our military cannot vote when dead people and illegal aliens can.
Report Post »Snowleopard {gallery of cat folks}
Posted on August 3, 2012 at 8:03pmI believe you are right on the 2008 electorial process; I remember there were many cases of states that went for Obama where the military votes went missing or were discredited due to them being of the military. Allen West though is right on the money with Obama as Commander-In-Chief, a title he should not have, though he does so solely due to his being the President and with the authority as established in the Constitution over the armed forces.
Report Post »Obamas disgust and hatered for the armed forces is well known and displayed; he sees them as nothing more than symbols of oppression and control, useless and to be reviled, unless they can give him politcal gain in the elections.

Posted on August 3, 2012 at 8:27pmYou left off the dogs that registered to vote.
I am retired Navy and proudly voted in every election. I was blessed that my time overseas did not fall at a time of a Congressional or Presidential election. While INCONUS, I voted locally — before the time of “early voting.”
When you are overseas or on a ship (except carriers), mail service is spotty at best. Even then, you never know when the sacks will end up in the drink as they are passed fm one ship to the next on high lines.
Report Post »Elena2010
Posted on August 3, 2012 at 8:36pmWhen overseas, mail is not as reliable as it is here. Priority pkgs take 2-3 weeks to get to the person in theatre. I had email w/friends in country and would let them know a pkg was on its way, and they’d let me know when it arrived.
That‘s why it’s right to give the armed forces more time to vote.
When at sea, mail service is even worse. If you are not on the carrier, you don’t get mail until somebody on the carrier remembers you and runs it over on a helo. If you make port, you might also get mail if it got there before you leave. Sometimes, you get mail that has been in the sea because the high line dipped it on its way over fm the supply ship.
That’s why they DESERVE more time to get their ballots in.
Report Post »1TrueOne55
Posted on August 3, 2012 at 8:54pmYeah Snow he is correct and it was Democrats that created that problem. I know that in our state WA, our Dems failed to mail them out in time so they would get back before the time limit ran out. It is why the Military now has the vote by electronic mail fiasco to deal with. When you’re in a forward fighting base your having to depend on the military Internet and if it does not connect to the Civilian Internet because of “SECURITY/SAFETY” concerns then you create the same problem.
Report Post »justangry
Posted on August 4, 2012 at 12:31am@Elena, Aye shipmate, that’s a very good point. Even on the carriers it could be spotty. It’s better than the rest, but sometimes the cod planes either didn’t have room for the mail because they were carrying more important cargo, or they just weren’t able to reach the boat for some reason. The smaller ships typically would only get their mail on port calls or at sea replenishments. And of course, scheduled port calls can change in a heartbeat and are few and far between when something is going on, which has been the past 20 years or so.

They want the military to buy their own health insurance (can you imagine the premiums for an infantryman in Afghanistan?)
If they create a crisis over the budget, the first people who don’t get paid are the military, promotions and pay raises are delayed for the military but not for congress and the executive branch.
I would be willing to bet that if congress were the ones not getting paid, a budget would be passed in less than a day and hand carried to the White House.

The vetting process would possibly find something that he did at one time that would make him a difficult choice for V.P. but I would LOVE to see him on the ticket with Romney. People talked about Condie Rice but that would just be BAD because African Americans HATE her. Allen West on the other hand has quite a few African American supporters and if all the rest of the honest, Christian, hard-working African Americans could contrast Allen West with B.H.Obama in a debate there would be a huge shift away from Obama within the good, honest, tax-paying African American folks. I admire a African American man who is strong enough to stand up for what is true and right in spite of all the pressure from his own “people”. He is a gutsy and good American man.

Posted on August 3, 2012 at 7:45pmI completely have to disaree with Mr West. President Obama has done nothing to denegrate his position as commander in chief. He has killed how many terrorist with drones, killed Bin Laden, has pulled us out of Iraq, has passed free healthcare so now the Vets and their families don’t need to rely on the VA, has allowed the military to now recruit from an entirely new pool of recruits, The Gays, and has learned how to salute the Marine at the bottom of the helicopter stairs properly.
He has also learned the difference between a General and a waiter.
So, come on Mr West, he has learned the CIC role, and even wears the special Fez all CIC’s wear when the Joint Chiefs of Staff give him his weekly brief. You know the Fez, the bright red one with the little bells. (wink wink), that all CIC’s wear.
