Amazing Video: 9-Year-Old CO Boy Survives Incredible Hit-and-Run

When you see this video, it will be hard for you to believe that the 9-year-old boy shown in it only suffered minor injuries.

You’re about to see Eric Aguilar get mowed down by a car as he runs into the street. The footage would be even harder to watch if Aguilar had been injured. But miraculously, he wasn’t. This is the extent of his injuries:

Amazing Video: 9 Year Old CO Boy Survives Incredible Hit and Run

“It shows him being hit and tossed aside in the street by a car in the 100 block of South Irving St in southwest Denver,” KDVR-TV says about the video:

Police are still looking for the driver and the car.

What is so lucky about being struck by a car? The kid actually ran into the front fender of the car and caromed off it. He is totally at fault. The driver had no chance. Yes- the driver should have stopped- but in their defense they may have been an illegal alien and didn’t want to get deported! Talk about a tragedy!

wow listen to all the sick people talking about a dumb typo instead of a poor boy almost losing his life. You people are sick. It doesn’t matter if it was 100 or 110% the kid’s fault, hit and run is a crime and I hope the driver gets punished to the full extent of the law.

Sorry- the hit and run aspect speaks for itself, but you cannot say for sure the driver knew a kid hit his mirror and kicked off it. It wasn‘t necessarily loud and fleshy bone being brushed past doesn’t necessarily make a big ka-plow.. The kid was basically out of even the best of peripheral vision at impact and then gone. The radio may have been enough to make it nothing more than a bump odd a pebble. That car outweighs the kid 80:1
That said the driver is in a pickle because the kid for whatever reason hadn’t learned about running into a street without looking. He/She will have to answer, but to hear the parent speak her idiocy without taking her own responsibility is pitiful..

The kid didn’t look before going into the street and the driver was going over 20mph in a neighborhood.

Good golly……..just because the kid ran out into the street doesn‘t mean his parents are bad parents or they didn’t tell him a thousand times not to run into the street without looking. Kids do stupid crap on a daily basis. How many of you did stuff your parents told you not to?……that is what I thought. None of you were perfect children. This kid learned a lesson the hard way. I bet he never runs into the street again.

Thank goodness the child is ok. The child had to learn the hard way – you don’t run into the street without checking both ways!! Driver should have stopped, but to be honest, I’m not sure they knew they hit the child since it was on the side.and the child basically was thrown out to the side – did not run over anything.

I can relate to that accident. About 33 years ago I hit an 8 year old boy on his bicycle with my motorcycle.

He swerved into my path and my right knee caught his bicycle. He flew off the bike, his front tire popped off, and I didn’t drop the motorcycle.

Fortunately for him and me he didn’t suffer any injuries, not even a scratch. I was further relieved when about 7 neighbor kids, who saw the incident, said the boy ran into me.

I put his bicycle front tire back on, told him to be careful, and that was the end of that.

I agree that the child is 100% at fault here. Maybe the driver didn’t realize that a boy was hit. When are parents going to parent. At his age, this boy should have known NOT to run into the street!

@e-m-b-usa, you know that the street is a better place to play than your yard.and that parents like his don’t care where you are as long as you are not bothering them,i see it everyday, we live in the country, and the kids come from all around to fish, play football, basketball, most anything they want in my yard, i don’t even have kids at home anymore, but my wife and i let them, because it keeps them out of trouble, and keeps them from being stuck in the house until their parents get home, most parents know where their kids are at,so if more parents are neighbors would help provide for the kids something to do, they just might not play in the road, and just might not get into as much trouble.even on the weekends,we have kids and their parents here fishing or doing something, and you what,we don’t mind.

Its because of people like you that conservatives get called racists. Why don’t we just narrow it down and label you as the racist.

The kid is lucky, but needs better parenting. Did anyone teach him to look both ways and not to run into a street. The mother should get a neglect charge. Four kids playing near the street. He was the only one who ran out into the street. The others at least had the sense to stay behind the berm.

I hate to sound mean, but that kid was 100% at fault. The car didn’t hit him, he hit the car, it was a side door impact! That driver probably didn’t even SEE him until he was in his rear view mirror.

He probably thought someone kicked a soccer ball at his door until he saw the kid laying in the street. Should he have stopped? Yes! If he knew he had hit a kid… but should the driver have been liable if he Had stopped? Hell no! That kid ran into the street, hidden by a parked car, and hit the Side of the car! He’s lucky to be alive.

Let’s assume that the driver did not know he hit the boy and thought it might have been a ball or something that contacted the car. The driver stll appears to be traveling over 25 mph. Last I looked, most residential speed limits are still 25 mph. If so, the driver is at fault legally.

The guy was going a bit fast but the kid jumped into the middle of the street out of nowhere. The driver should have stopped and checked, unless he had his music up real loud, he would have heard the thud. I don’t believe the driver was 100% at fault, who runs into the middle of the street like that? At least the kid survived to learn his lesson.
