‘Ambassadors of Christ’ Execute Santa Claus to Highlight True Meaning of Christmas

Repent Amarillo, a radical group in Texas which claims to be — quite literally — an Army of God, has moved on from trying to burn copies of the Koran to marking the Christmas holiday season with a staged execution of Jolly Ol’ St. Nick.

I’m all for remembering Christ in Christmas, but something tells me that Santa homicide isn’t really what God has in mind.   (Warning: not for kids)

    I’m sorry but I beg to differ from your rant. God gave us each ‘Free Will’, you are only showing a mirror image of fanaticalness, you are no different that them, casting your own erroneous judgement on others. Yahweh, Christ the Price of Peace would not approve I’m sure of your statements. Who are you to judge anyway, what is right ans what is wrong?. You should re-read your Bible and come to the understanding, that through example, is what He has taught us. The right way to do His biding. You give us(True Christians) a bad name. I reject your point of view, and I may be wrong, but I’m sure that He will back me up on this. Only through His example will the blind see the light.
    All you’ve done is show your face, and your friends to world as an ignorant, blind person filled with hate and created more enemies for yourself. If you are so passionate, with such deep conviction in Christ, stand freely on a street corner, or in some other way, show your light.
    Your ‘Range Master’ should revoke your membership privileges immediately, simply for disobeying the rules. The ATF, or whoever should also reconsider whether you are of sound mind and judgement to be handling firearms, with that much hate you so proudly wear on your T-Shirt.
    And last but not least, a Merry Christmas to you too. I pray the Lord have mercy on your souls.

    They really need to figure out what Christmas is all about. It is our way of celebrating Jesus being born and dying for all sins. These people are dangerous and need to be talked to and taught the lessons of Christ. The dude says we, only and that means he has a mouse in his pocket. Christmas was to give to the poor. If anyone has been misled it is these people. For God says it is better to give than to receive. So how these people come up with this is pure nonsense. Merry Christmas everyone.

    A few seconds into the video “guilty of crimes against the Lord our God”. Don’t even need to watch any further, that’s the crux of the issue right there. There is no place in Christian Theology for any concept of prosecuting crimes against the Lord. None whatsoever. That, above all, is what separates Christianity from other faiths, and makes it the true religion of peace. Real Christians recognize that God doesn’t need our help enforcing His laws.

      we are all “guilty of crimes against the Lord our God” it is called sin and therefore the entire reason for Jesus Christ’s redemption through his death and resurrection. Also, the “Santa Claus Story” came from a Saint Nicholas that was a follower of Christ (all were called Saints in the early days) and was well known for his charity and giving spirit in his village. The greatest gift of all is Jesus Christ.

      God and Idols
      1 Hear what the LORD says to you, people of Israel. 2 This is what the LORD says:

      “Do not learn the ways of the nations
      or be terrified by signs in the heavens,
      though the nations are terrified by them.
      3 For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
      they cut a tree out of the forest,
      and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
      4 They adorn it with silver and gold;
      they fasten it with hammer and nails
      so it will not totter.
      5 Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
      their idols cannot speak;
      they must be carried
      because they cannot walk.
      Do not fear them;
      they can do no harm
      nor can they do any good.”

      6 No one is like you, LORD;
      you are great,
      and your name is mighty in power.
      7 Who should not fear you,
      King of the nations?
      This is your due.
      Among all the wise leaders of the nations
      and in all their kingdoms,
      there is no one like you.

      8 They are all senseless and foolish;
      they are taught by worthless wooden idols.
      9 Hammered silver is brought from Tarshish
      and gold from Uphaz.
      What the craftsman and goldsmith have made
      is then dressed in blue and purple—
      all made by skilled workers.
      10 But the LORD is the true God;
      he is the living God, the eternal King.
      When he is angry, the earth trembles;
      the nations cannot endure his wrath.

      11 “Tell them this: ‘These gods, who did not make the heavens and the earth, will perish from the earth and from under the heavens.’”[a]

      12 But God made the earth by his power;
      he founded the world by his wisdom
      and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.
      13 When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar;
      he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth.
      He sends lightning with the rain
      and brings out the wind from his storehouses.

      14 Everyone is senseless and without knowledge;
      every goldsmith is shamed by his idols.
      The images he makes are a fraud;
      they have no breath in them.
      15 They are worthless, the objects of mockery;
      when their judgment comes, they will perish.
      16 He who is the Portion of Jacob is not like these,
      for he is the Maker of all things,
      including Israel, the people of his inheritance—
      the LORD Almighty is his name.
      (Jerimiah 10)

      I disagree with all of the above as I have seen the comments. If you listen to the message after you will hear that it was done in fun to make a serious point. A point I agree with 100%. Christmas has gotten way out of hand and Christ is lost in all of it. The message of Christ is a whole lot better than any Santa story or tradition. I spent a couple of Christmases with my brother’s family in NY. It was disgusting how they bought 20 plus presents for their kids. The kids wern’t thankful they expected the gifts and displayed the greed that they were being taught. My Brother and his wife just didn’t get it at all. It disgusted me to think that it was nothing more than how many presents, and how much food. There wasn’t any lesson on Christ and giving to Him. Jesus, I don’t think was ever mentioned. So, after seing that and knowing how much God hates idols in the lives of His people, I think this was a good message to present. Sorry folks I don’t agree with you on this one!

      What seems to be lost on some people is the fact that the Santa Claus story is an extension of a real life story of the man known as St. Nicholas. He made it his habit to throw small sacks of money through the windows (open, I hope) of needy people, and then running away so no one would see who it was. This is an example of true giving, where the giver wishes to remain anonymous and simply wants to reflect God’s own giving nature. I think Santa Claus is an important sidebar to the Christmas story.

      Is Religious extremism of ANY kind dangerous? Well it depends upon who defines what is “extreme”, doesn’t it. To some it is extreme to believe the Bible IS the words of God and is true without error. To some it is “extreme” to believe that Jesus is the Son of God and is the only way to Heaven.

      To stage a “mock” execution of santa claus is not something I’d want my granchildren exposed to but the message the ill advised group delivered after this stupid attenttion getter is not extreme unless you believe Santa is the reason for the season.

      Now if someone protests at the funeral of a fallen soldier in the name of Christ, that is not only extreme, it is horribly anti Christ.
