‘America In Decline’: Mitt Romney Gets Grim Warning From Australian Leader

The Australian foreign minister has privately warned Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney that foreign leaders see “America in decline.”
That’s according to Romney, who says he met with Foreign Minister Bob Carr in a San Francisco hotel Sunday evening shortly before a Republican fundraiser.
Romney says Carr suggested that America could improve that international perception “with one budget deal” that helps balance the budget.
A Romney spokesman says the foreign minister requested the private meeting.
The news likely comes as quite an embarrassment for supporters of President Obama. Not only has the president apparently managed an America “in decline,” but one of his campaign platforms was restoring America’s image to the rest of the world after eight years of George W. Bush.
In fact, on January 19th he said his administration had already accomplished the goal.
“What we were also able to do, I think, is to restore a sense of America as the sole, indispensable power,” the president said, “a country that, whether it’s responding to an earthquake or a tsunami, or it’s dealing with a dictator that is about to ruthlessly butcher his people, we aren’t out there alone.”
Mitt Romney is scheduled to launch his first trip abroad as his party’s presumptive presidential nominee later this week. He’s set to meet with leaders in England, Israel and Poland, who may have similar words of advice.

I grew up Baptist and attended many other churches in my youth with friends. It was not until I was in my adulthood that I met my wife, who introduced me to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. (The Mormons). I was so impressed with what I saw and felt from the members of this church that I converted. Later that year I married my now wife and we began our family. This changed my life for the better and I have never been happier. Those who attack this religion have no idea what they are talking about. People get caught up in Hate and Misinformation. When he left office half of Detroit was laid off, shoot half the country was laid off. Under Carter a new car set you back 21% and if you bought a home it was 17%. With all this the UAW and most other unions were telling their members they had to vote Democrat.Myself and my wife were scared they would and we would be using Russian Rupels. Thank goodness those union folks and Democrats got in that voteing booth pulled the curtain back and voted for Reagan.

Instead we’ve now selected Romney, who is more fiscally liberal (and just as socially liberal a few years ago) as BILL CLINTON.
His budget plan spends almost as much money as Obama‘s and he’s being supported by some of the very same banks that also back Obama. Ultimately, we are going to get what we deserve.

His budget doesnt cut one cent off Obama’s current spending levels. What does that mean? It means we keep running up the debt with promises of cuts in future increases. That means we still go bankrupt.
Romney supports gun control laws, the Patriot Act and NDAA. What does that mean? It means Romney has little regard for the Constitution.
Romney keeps us in one of the most anti Israel organizations in the world (the UN) all while keeping us the global police force. With Romney we will be bombing Syria and Iran.
Romney has been pro choice almost all his life. If you look at statements he made on meet the press and during earlier debates you can clearly see he is pro choice. Roe v Wade will have zero influence on him while he picks a SCJ.
He created Romneycare. He said he was glad Obama was using his plan in 2009. What changed?
He has been funded by many of the same big banks that fund Romney. He has basically been endorsed by Soros.
He has said he will not focus attention on the FED, and has stated for years(up until recently) that Bernanke is doing a fine job. Has Bernanke been doing something different or has Romney needed to try to look more conservative?
Please tell me where Romney and Obama are different on nation changing issues.

People like myself, who arrive on your shores from another country, are always struck by the American people’s sense of optimism, goodwill, and their willingness to support and encourage each other.
You are an inspiration to the rest of the world. Anybody who considers these words as trite and empty platitudes must ask themselves why so many millions risk everything, including death sometimes, to live in your country.
My faith in your country is sure – always provided that your relieve yourselves of the blundering amateur who currently resides in the White House.
Failure to do that makes you future far less certain, in my opinion.

Does it matter at this point “who” is in office…or will both sides strip away our freedoms as the end nears, and it is just a matter of timing? Are both sides planning nothing more than doing their best to cushion the fall, rather than stop and reverse it?
Lately, I’m of the opinion that nobody can stop what is coming. The numbers just do not add up. The majority of Americans just lack the qualities needed to stand on their own two feet and take care of themselves, as I –and most of you– have done our whole lives.
This isn’t defeatist talk…because not facing reality and preparing for it is what gets you in the end.
