American Indian Comic Tells DC Rally: ‘We’ve Been Fighting Terrorism Since 1492′

In order to lighten the mood during this past weekend’s 10/2 rally, organizers invited Native American comedian Charlie Hill to offer comic relief. So what kind of material did he use?

After Ed Schultz introduced him, Hill began by singing his own version of “This Land is is Your Land”:

“This land is my land, this land ain’t your land, so get the hell off of my–”

That was just the warm-up.

Later he poked fun at Native Americans for their casinos, and said that “some day we’re going to buy our land back — from the Japanese,” which was met with a smattering of boos.

But Hill didn’t target only Native Americans. He also went after Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin, saying that they shared a brain and if Palin “had a bright idea, it would be beginner’s luck.” Ironically, he quickly moved on to reiterate that the One Nation rally “is all about healing.”

That healing spirit, though, didn‘t extend to jokes regarding America’s founding. In a series of jokes attacking early explorers, Hill said that “immigration problems started at Plymouth Rock,“ and ”we’ve been fighting terrorism since 1492.”

A bulk of the jokes come in the first three minutes, but the entire video contains some “gems”:

According to a bio of Hill, he is a “renowned stand-up” comedian who used to be a writer for the Roseanne show.

Despite Hill’s credentials, RightScoop found the shtick unappealing:

I mean, this is what One Nation thinks is funny? This is who they want to headline the comedy portion of their dc rally? Yeah I know he’s a comedian, but between the venue and the theme, I just found the whole thing offensive.

This is exactly why amnesty can NEVER be granted to illegal immigrants from Mexico. 2/3 of illegals believe that the US rightfully belongs to Mexico. We certainly can‘t give US voting rights to people who don’t even acknowledge the United States’ right to exist. We see right now in the middle east what happens when there’s a border dispute. We need to elect people who loves America and will deport those that don’t.

Mike, we’ve done it before. Reagan gave amnesty to illgal aliens. It was done with a promise to secure the border. THATS one of the reasons we now want the borders secured before talking about amnisty.

I don’t know about 2/3 of illegal aliens believing part of CA, Texas, and whatever other states they believe to be theirs, but there are a lot of people from and, still in Mexico that believe just that.

American Indians wouldn’t have left all that trash. When we have any gathering, the land is either improved when we leave or just as it was before we came. This Brother does not speak on behalf of most Native Americans. We know that there are ones who still hold hatred deep within them and refuse to give it up and we pray for them.

Liberals really don’t get the “equality” they spew like Pavlovian dog’s drooling.

We are all equal. The only difference between the stone-age aborigines and the Europeans who came to the Americas was the level of technology and the sophistication of their civilization. Morally, there was no difference. The pre-Colombian aborigines were just as lethal and “terrorizing” to each other as they and the Europeans were to each other post-1492.

Our (European settlers) great crime was in being better at it and having a further developed society with which they couldn’t compete.
But the so-called “Native Americans” (who migrated there from Asia about 14k years ago), were not pacifistic, communal Earth-worshippers.

By the way, we have a description for hominids who live in harmony with nature. We call them “Gorillas”.

It was hard on the “Native Americans”, but their descendants can, and will enjoy the benefits of the advanced technological society which was never possibly to hunter-gatherer, early agrarian societies.

“Ad Astra, Per Asperum”… To the stars through hard ways. We have the advanced, technological world we have *because* we are selfish and greedy and bigoted; we’ve advanced *because* of our conflicts. Our incessant war with that murderous b-word “Mother Nature” is what has gotten us to where we are. I would not want to live in a world of lotus-eaters.

This is why “Native Americans” are popular with the far-left. The leftist think they want a pacifistic world at harmony with nature and each other. Among their many misconceptions about the real world is the idea that somehow the “Native Americans” lived in harmony with nature. There were never any famines, no disease, no conflict (yet every “Native American” culture had a warrior class), no capitalism, and no pollution in the far-left’s twisted, and mistaken, view of pre-Colombians.

I don’t understand this simile, perhaps because I’ve seen dogs drool, or because I’ve also seen crazed lunatics as they spew their thoughts. Are you trying to say the spewing of the liberals is like drooling? Or are you trying to say their spewing is a conditioned response that can be triggered by an unrelated stimulus? If the latter, then what exactly would be the conditioned stimulus and the unconditioned stimulus? Please clarify if you will. thanks

“It was hard on the “Native Americans”, but their descendants can, and will enjoy the benefits of the advanced technological society which was never possibly to hunter-gatherer, early agrarian societies.”

Have you any real knowledge of an American Indian Reservation?

Yes, the descendants of Native Americans are certainly enjoying the above stated benefits even as we speak.

Pavlov’s dogs were conditioned to drool via various sense-oriented techniques in order to obtain a predetermined response to external stimuli.

What has that to do with the abstract realm of spiritual matters?

You can torture a soul and expect it to weep, but what if chooses to laugh instead of cry?

Come on, smart one, explain to me the human spirit.

If a lowly dog may personify the greater qualities of goodness and loyalty having never been trained to do so, how is you abandon compassion amid your lofty, learned, mortal ways?

You speak things of which you know nothing, because you are so easily conditioned to mimic what the “Gorillas” inherently or instinctually comprehend: the perfect evolution of any life form begins upon the basis of a single premise.

Nothing of this world is eternal.

Eat your banana today, because tomorrow’s banana may be your last.

      “Agrarian societies”.

      Fool.

This people never believed they own the land.

They simply fought for the right to exist, something you would be wise to study in your mighty quest for knowledge.

You never know when such a right may be challenged.

But then you would not recognize the enemy should its name be “Hiraghm”.

It‘s too bad that Charlie Hill didn’t see Glenn Beck’s program on the systematic destruction of Native American culture, history and historical sites.

He showed that beyond a doubt this eradiciation has been accomplished by a collusion of GOVERNMENT; RELIGIOUS and COMMERCIAL interests. He showed that when 2 or more of these entities join forces, they worked together to convince the people that the “Indian” popluation were savages and embarked on a program to eradicate them, destroy their culture and erase their history.

Most of our founding fathers including Jefferson, Washington and many others considered the Native Americans as equals and should be treated as such. Only when it became obvious to the commercial interests of the day did the tables turn. That’s when the genocide of the Native Americans really began.

I urge Mr.Hill to contact Glenn Beck, ask him to send a video copy of the program in which he dealt with the true history that the establishment didn’t want Americans to see. I think he would open his eyes to the fact that not all Americans have the same views as the garbage taught in the American School Systems.

I certainly don’t! When you study with Pastor Arnold Murray (Shepherd’s Chapel Ministries from Gravette, AR) as he traveled to Native American sites all over America showing the levels of sophistication attained by these so called “Savages” or after reading books by Dr. Barry Fell on the written languages used by some tribes, or study the sophisticated mathematics used in the building of the earthworks in the Miami Valley in Ohio, it becomes very obvious that the native people in North America were far from ignorant Neanderthals. The peoples of North Anerica, during the European dark ages, had cities with populations greater than that of Rome or London at the time!

Just more Anti-colonialism blah blah blah. Don‘t get me wrong I feel bad for the plight of the Native Americans but in the end if my taxes are taken away today to give to the Native Americans or Black descendants of slaves due to what their forefathers went through then isn’t that just punishing me for the sins of my forefathers?

Was what happened to the slaves and Native Americans cruel, vicious, and mean? Yes.
Was I or anyone in my generation or even anyone still living today responsible for any of it? No.

The Blacks that descended from slaves that live in America today owe a great debt to their forefathers for having struggled, fought, and survived the abolition of slavery here in America. It is through that fight that Blacks today live in a slavery free prosperous country. Had their forefathers not been brought over from Africa as slaves prior to the civil war and the 14th amendment then their descendants would have been born in Africa were to this day the slave trade is alive and well, working out of the same ports, just not sending the slaves to America.

There’s nothing really different about Saturdays Rally as in Rallys of the past. It’s just this time instead of it being on C Span and no one watching this got exposed.

Being a typical white American person, I am a quarter German with the rest a mixture of Scots, Irish, French and Indian. So I am as qualified to comment as anyone on this subject. The problem with the Reservation Indians is that unlike my ancestors, they chose to become wards of the Federal government rather than cut their hair and join the rest of America. Before Oklahoma oil and the Casinos, this early form of the welfare state nearly destroyed the Native tribes as it is now destroying the African-Americans. To my Indian brothers and sisters I say: Get over it, the wars have been over since Wounded Knee! Get out of the Wagon and get busy helping the rest of us “half-breed mutts” pull the load.
