American ‘Scapegoat,’ Admin in Chaos, ‘Minoritarians’ & the Danger of a Godless Society — All on ‘The Glenn Beck Program’

During his Wednesday evening broadcast, Glenn Beck reviewed some of the day’s most pressing headlines before discussing why racism in America could be rearing its ugly head once more. This was all before Beck delivered a powerful Oval Office speech in anticipation of the Supreme Court’s upcoming decision on Obamacare (which can be viewed here in its entirety).

While a recent Bloomberg poll seemed to reveal Obama leading GOP rival Mitt Romney (figures that are contradicted in other polls), Beck admitted that the fight, at times, can indeed “be tiring.” But he reminded viewers to recall that George Washington likely felt the same way in the weeks prior to crossing the Delaware to engage in the battle of Trenton.  The motivational words of both Washington and Thomas Paine where what gave the troops the resolve to forge ahead despite feeling discouraged along the way. Although a wartime analogy, the same principles apply today, because centuries later, America is “at a crossroads” yet again. We may not be asked to deliver on the fields of battle like Washington’s men were, but the “battle of will” is the same, noted Beck.

America the scapegoat

Beck began the days headlines by discussing the Fed’s most recent instance of quantitative easing(or, “printing money”) as it fails abysmally in its task. Such failure, according to Beck, will only give rise to Socialists — one of which, by the way, was recently lambasted by Fox News host Neil Cavuto when he attempted to blame America for European bank meltdowns.

America is being set up “to be the scapegoat for the world,” said Beck, who first warned two years ago that the rest of the world would point the finger of blame at the United States and Capitalism when the Euro collapses. The situation will only be exacerbated if Obama, our “apology tour president,” is reelected.

The administration in chaos

Despite the president’s recent union “sell out” during the Scott Walker recall attempt in Wisconsin, organized labor is still spending tens of millions on Obama’s reelection bid, paying particular attention to the eight crucial battle ground states. In the process, 100,000 volunteers and 750 fulltime campaign workers will reportedly be placing 13 million calls and speaking with over a million potential voters in their effort to hold the White House.

They are doing this, observed Beck, because Obama is trailing Romney in the most recent polls and overall, 52 percent of surveyed Americans disapprove of Obama’s performance.

Also stacked against the Left is Rep. Darrell Issa’s push to move forward with a committee vote to hold embattled Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress over Fast and Furious. Beck discussed the details of the botched operation and explained how it eventually led to the murder of U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry.

In one additional snag the administration and overall liberal establishment might face is the likely disbandment of Occupy Wall Street. Beck observed that the movement, which had essentially been “a dud” since its inception, might have run out of steam given the string of assaults. flag-burning, and bizarre demonstrations (like protesting “child sex trafficking conferences”) carried out by some of its participants.

Nonetheless, a host of dangerous entities and characters, according to Beck, are poised to take power by any means necessary. These include but are not limited to: the White House, George Soros, labor unions, the Federal Reserve and Central Banks, the U.N., Marxists, Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam among others. Worse still, they are mobilized and motivated to win in 2012, which is why Beck encouraged viewers to “stay the course.”

“Because I believe we’re turning a corner.”

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. won because he knew that Americans would choose good over evil. The question Beck said is now before us is: “Will we willing vote for evil,” or are we strong enough to stand and draw a line in the sand?

Are we being ruled by “minoritarians”?

Even an in-depth search on the Internet today will yield precious few stories that paint God, or faith, in a positive light. Typically, the only religion stories that do seem to get any “airtime” are the ones that disparage Catholics over contraception, Evangelicals over same-sex marriage debates, or Christians in general as being “out of touch” when it comes to abortion issues. Back in January, Beck reminded that a civil war was brewing within the Vatican and that the Pope likely understands the turmoil is mounting.

He then cited several recent headlines that have an unabashed anti-religious bent and juxtaposed this Christian-targeted negativity with the fact that the only positive stories on religion disseminated by the mainstream media are ones that pertain to Atheism, and the many “victories” the movement is realizing in its push to rid the nation of all references to God and faith. Thus, according to Beck, Atheism and environmentalism are in themselves the new “religions” of America. He also pointed out that things always go awry when “corrupt religions” that only place faith in man or planet take control.

In other words, we are becoming a society of “minoritarians,” according to Beck — a system where minority groups (such as Atheists) rule society.

This is perhaps best illustrated by the resurgence of vicious displays of anti-Semitism occurring across the country, particularly in the Jewish bedrocks of Brooklyn, New York.

History repeats itself in a Godless society

“The Jews are always the canaries in the coal mine,” Beck said. The hatred begins there, “and spreads.”

Beck also spent particular time expanding on something that most Americans have probably never even heard of — Ulysses S. Grant’s document of general order No. 11, which the New York Times has called the “worst” anti-Semitic act in American History. It called for the expulsion of Jews from Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi.

The order, which referred to Jews as a “class violating every regulation of trade” established by the Treasury Department and department orders “are hereby expelled from the department within twenty-four hours from the receipt of this order.”

Jewish people who refrained were arrested and held in contempt.

Fortunately, Abraham Lincoln stopped the travesty by sending a telegram to Grant which explained that if such an order has been issued “it will be immediately revoked.”

Beck went on to discuss Lincoln in greater detail, particularly his belief that “God was in charge.”

From persecution of Native Americans in the Trail of Tears, to the execution order leveled against Mormons in Missouri (Beck even showed an actual copy of the order, which wasn’t rescinded until 1976, to viewers), to progressive FDR relegating Japanese Americans to internment camps during World War II, Beck listed the myriad instances of race and religion-fueled vitriol seen in America across the ages.

There may be plenty of solutions offered by members of both sides of the political aisle, but the one key component painfully absent, according to Beck, is God.

It is important to note that while Atheists and secularists in general decry religion as being the root of all the worlds wars and ills, Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin and Mao Zedong were responsible for the deaths of an estimated 50 to 70 million human beings (at least) — all in the name of Atheism. This does not even account for the gruesome murders waged in the name of pagan Nazism. For some reason, progressives fail to acknowledge the carnage that has been leveled by the Godless regimes of the world.

I don’t think any of the media outlets (cough Blaze included) is reporting the fact that Putin will remain in power until at least 2024. Russia has returned back to her old self–an imminent threat to America. And what is even worse, they have the Chinese behind them now. Doesn’t this look like the repeat of Germany-Japan axis to anyone?

Wrong–they were killed for IDEOLOGICAL reasons, for COMMUNISM (or fascism in Nazi Germany’s case), not for RELIGIOUS reasons (i.e. they didn‘t murder everyone NOT an atheist specifically BECAUSE they weren’t declared atheists). Religious wars, on the other hand, are not only not unknown, they are actually relatively common reasons to go to war, sometimes the ONLY reasons for going to war. The goal of the Crusades, and the murders committed by both sides, were done for EXPLICITLY religious motivations–without alternative claims about the nature of God, Muslims and Christians would not have been Muslims and Christians and would have had no reason for conflict over a distant and barren piece of desert. That’s not to say that states which happen to have been Christian and states that happen to have been Muslim might NOT have ended up in wars against each other from time to time, just to say that without religion, religion couldn’t be a causa ad belli. And of the two, ONLY religion, never to my knowledge irreligion, has ever been a causa ad belli–no State has ever gone to war with another state because they HAD religious beliefs writ large, although States have gone to war for having DIFFERING religious beliefs.

Atheism was the official doctrine of Stalin’s State, and  if you did not comply, you were a “detractor” or “enemy of the state”. Yes, he killed many this way.

Communism being an atheist based ideology means each person “purged” or “sacrificed” for the collective is a direct result of atheism. Atheism is the core of Communism. Without atheism, Communism would not survive for Communist leaders see themselves as gods and demand worship.

That’s a cute story, but it’s not true–plenty of communists have been and are people of faith. Ever heard of Christian socialism? Look it up–it was quite popular here for a time. It is true that atheism was the “state religion” as it were in the Soviet Union and Communist China, and it is true that it technically remains so in the latter. However, realistic attempts to convert everyone to atheism, and punish those who refused, were never made on a mass-scale. Rather it was used as a convenient excuse–a means of disposing of those the regime had ALREADY decided upon disposing for a variety of politically convenient reasons. The POINT, and the DIFFERENCE between wars and atrocities motivated by religion, is that ATHEISM per se, was never the goal of communism, nor the goal of any other so-called “atheist” state (which has never existed–even during the height of Soviet and Chinese purges, the population remained majority Orthodox Christian and Buddhist respectively, as they do to this day)–atheism, rather, was a MEANS to communism in these states, and if their ideology required the adoption of other means, such as pro-religious tactics (such as was the case in fascist Italy where the Catholic church colluded with Mussolini), then they did so. But IRRELIGIOUS motivation, for its own sake, was never the purpose. By contrast, there are COUNTLESS examples of atrocities perpetuated BECAUSE and FOR religious motivations that WOULD NOT have occurred otherwise.

You are wrong. Atheism is nothing more than belief in man, that man is “god”, almighty, and all powerful. It is a religion.

Atheism is the core of Communism. Why? Because belief in any other being (God) made the Authoritarian (a wanna be God) weaker and less powerful. The Authoritarian is the man of men and demanded their submission.

A Communist regime needs no “excuse” to dispose of someone. They can take your life just because, so your theory is flat out wrong on that.

In the case of Italy, collusion occurred with that Catholic Church because they were almost the same. Belief in a MAN as God, this case the Pope who yielded to the Authoritarian.

So yes, the goal of Communism was to spread atheism, it’s religion, as to keep power centralized in its most powerful man, the Dictator. Communism  kills anyone who denounces its leader as all powerful. That in itself proves you wrong.

Communism is nothing but an Atheistic Theocracy.

“Atheism is nothing more than belief in man, that man is “god”, almighty, and all powerful”
Umm…I don’t know what dictionary YOU are using, but you couldn’t be more irrelevant to the point. As an atheist let me tell what atheism means. Atheism is simply a rejection of all theism is insufficiently warranted by the evidence to merit belief in the veracity of its claims–nothing more, nothing less. Human beings are SELF-EVIDENTLY not omnipotent (at least not in the status quo, nor do I imagine how they COULD become omnipotent), and no-one is claiming they are. It is a very different thing to say that humans are the highest authority (on whatever have you) THAT WE CAN KNOW OF GIVEN THE EVIDENCE AVAILABLE, than to say HUMAN BEINGS ARE INFALLIBLE AUTHORITIES. Atheists claim the former, not the latter.

“Atheism is the core of Communism…their submission. ”
No, not really–plenty of communist regimes and groups find no conflict with religion.

“A Communist regime needs no “excuse” to dispose of someone. They can take your life just because, so your theory is flat out wrong on that.”
Every regime, even authoritarian ones, must worry about legitimacy, lest challengers usurp their power. No regime can stand when it has been abandoned by every supporter. Religious persuasion often provide this convenient proxy for politics–and sometimes, religion drives politics, but I’ve NEVER heard of IRRELIGION driving politics (though there ARE examples, of irreligion, just as religion, being DRIVEN by politics).

“…collusion occurred with that Catholic Church because they were almost the same…”
No, it had more to do with political, economic, and social convenience than your simplistic sweeping generalization that Catholicism and fascism are ideologically similar.

“So yes, the goal of Communism was to spread atheism…proves you wrong.”
In a manner of speaking, except your completely miss the point and in doing so, reverse the causality. The goal of the spread of ATHEISM by “Communist” regimes was the spread of COMMUNISM, not the other way around. If they had thought spreading Christianity would make populations more amendable to “communism” as they defined it, then they would have been passing out Bibles and making church attendance mandatory–it turns out they didn’t think that. But you reverse the value order–communism, and not atheism, was the end, and atheism, not communism, was seen as the m

Which dictionary would you like to use? “The belief there is no deity”

The belief there is no god (Atheism) logically equates to man submitting to no one but man and science shows us that a hierarchy develops resulting in an Alpha man or aka Dictator that all others submit too, even you. Are you denying science?

Did Stalin, an atheist, see himself as infallible? Yes and if you said he messed up, you died.

Please name a communist ran state that has no problem with a religion being praised over the communist leader. You can’t because atheism is its core principle.

There is no challengers in an authoritative regime as they die for challenging the authoritarians authority. Derrrrr….

Atheism is a religion and it drives Communism. That’s your error, you don’t equate atheism as a religion. 0 is a number too, ya know.

Politically, socially, and economically was convenient because they were so similar in general.

Communism does spread atheism. I said that. Atheism also creates Communism (Authoritarians) Science says that.

      Have a great day!

“Which dictionary would you like to use? “The belief there is no deity”…science?”
      1) Atheism to me simply means “no satisfactorily persuasive religion has yet come along”–doesn‘t necessarily mean there ISN’T a God, just that no account of God hitherto given is persuasive to me. If I had to GUESS, I‘d guess there wasn’t, but it would be just that–a guess. Whereas I KNOW that none of the ******** claimed by modern religions (a.k.a Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, and religious Buddhism) is true.
      2) That‘s an awfully extraordinary claim to make on science’s behalf–a claim corroborated by any scientific theory. The fact is that, yes, we are all we have, but that can mean a lot of things–what we make of it. The power is in our choice. If you choose stupidity, then yes, the results are bad–REGARDLESS of religious persuasion.

“Did Stalin, an atheist, see himself as infallible?…you died.”
Yes, but that doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with atheism; Stalin had a whole HOST of problems with or without being atheist–you don’t need to be an atheist (or a theist) to be a sociopath or megalomaniac. The two variables are completely independent.

“…communist ran state that has no problem with a religion being praised over the communist leader…”
Well, yeah, but you can‘t do that in ANY totalitarian regime simply because they don’t take kindly to criticism WRIT LARGE–religion isn’t special in this regard and is just an incidenta

You asked what dictionary, so I gave you one, The belief there is no deity. Your opinion is just that, your opinion and it seems more agnostic than atheist.

It is not “awfully extraordinary” to “claim” humans have hierarchy (psychology) just as animals do (ethology) and if one has no deity (Atheism) to submit to, the Alpha becomes the deity in its order. History proves this true. (Kings, Caesars, Chiefs, Pharaohs, etc.)

You think Stalin thought it was good to purge so many to benefit the collective or bad? In Atheism, good/bad are determined by the Alpha (dictator) or outside of authoritative rule, yourself. In theism, you submit to God’s definition of good/bad.

Stalin seeing himself as infallible was directly related to his bloated belief in himself, a condition of atheism and being Alpha of alphas.

They don’t take kindly to criticism for they see themselves as infallible, like a god, as all totalitarians, generally atheists, do.

I appreciate the conversation and I do hope your day is good. Peace out.

Racism has always been alive and well in America. Whether it’s people against Mexicans, “suspicious” blacks, people who look like they are from Middle East, it exists. If Americans could just get passed things like skin color or religious beliefs, then the people might ACTUALLY be able to influence change.
The biggest lie Americans are fed is the idea of political parties. Neither party has a monopoly on the truth, both constantly lie to get their way. A Republican gave us the Patriot Act and a Democrat has been abusing executive orders to pass his agenda. The sad fact is that far too many people just follow party lines and refuse to think for themselves. Even when folks “do their own research” they tend to stick with websites and sources that support their beliefs.

Unfortunately, there is no way in the status quo to surmount the collective action problem and punish the two parties for their failures. Because only one of the two has any realistic chance of winning, they can both be atrociously incompetent and still get elected. And given that they are unlikely to give up that advantage themselves, its difficult to see how changes COULD go through the “normal” process of “the system” to provide the electoral reform NECESSARY to make a multiparty (by which I mean “more than two”) POSSIBLE, when these reforms would have to pass the very body (the legislature) held by the very people who stand to lose the most by its passage. The only options left available for those who desire a polity that is legitimate and represents the public interest are calling a constitutional convention, revolutionary overthrow of the current regime, or fragmentation of the union.
