‘An Absolute Joke’: Joe Scarborough Deploys His Favorite Insult on Herman Cain & 9-9-9

Is seems Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” is trying to build a track record of publicly railing against Republican presidential candidates. First, he slammed Michele Bachmann back in August. Now, he’s moved on to new-found front-runner Herman Cain.

Just to recap, here are Scarborough’s tough words for Bachmann:

Michele Bachmann is a joke. She is a joke. And now I will pass it on to you.  Her answer is a joke, her candidacy is a joke, and anybody that sits here and says she has any chance of winning anything is out of their mind.  Take your straw poll, take your caucus, but Iowa, if you let her win, you prove your irrelevance once again.

Watch him dismiss the Minnesota congresswoman, below:

This morning, Scarborough has some similar words for Cain and his 9-9-9 plan (via Business Insider):

A lot of people are saying they like that guy [Herman Cain].  I like Santa Claus. Herman Cain and this 999 thing is just an absolute joke. I said that about Michele Bachmann and people got upset. He is strolling for president.  You look at the amount of time logged, the hours logged in the early primary states… he’s just not there. He was in Tennessee the other night.  He was on a book tour. While he is on a book tour he’s saying things like he is going to put up electric fences that kill illegal immigrants and when he gets called on, he says, oh, that’s a joke. Some kind of joke.

Watch it, below:

      Now here is a new video of Cain all loosened up. Here he is singing a John Lennon’s song… about PIZZA: http://www.thedailycandidate.com/video/2011/oct/cain_sings_pizza.html

      Taken straight out of “Rules for Radicals”. Saul Alinsky counselled his disciples to “laugh at the enemy” because as he said, “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule.” Fortunately for us, this tactic has been so OVERUSED by the left that now they appear only as charicatures of THEMSELVES and they are the JOKE. Ha ha ha, we all get it. Conservatives are stupid even when the graduate from Yale. Christians are only Christian because they are superstitious and sexually repressed …blah blah BLAH… Hey, NEO-COMMIES, get some new material! We’ve all seen this episode before!

      =======================================

      Two weeks before the collapse of Lehman Brothers in September of 2008, then Herman Cain said that the economy was just fine then too:

      Economic Growth Surges, but Democrats Ignore the Truth Again
      September 1, 2008
      by Herman Cain
      http://004eeb5.netsolhost.com/hc126.htm

      Here’s what happened over the following two weeks:
      – Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were taken over by the U.S. government (Sept. 7);
      – Merrill Lynch was sold to Bank of America;
      – Lehman Brothers declared bankruptcy;
      – The Fed bailed out AIG;
      – Washington Mutual was sold to JP MorganChase;
      – Treasury Secretary Paulson said the economy was so bad that $700 billion must be spent on bailouts immediately; otherwise, warned Ben Bernanke, “we may not have an economy on Monday.”

      All achieved before reaching the age of 35.

      I would have preferred Cain to have introduced a precise SPENDING CUT proposal rather than INTRODUCE A NEW TAX! Last I read, Cain said he’d cut 10% across the board. Let’s see, Obamao’s proposed 2012 budget is 3.7 trillion which means Cain would dust a mere 370 billion off of that. Not very good if you ask me.
      As for that new tax, and we know once a tax is introduced it never goes away and only increases over time, it also creates ‘empowerment zones’, meaning some people will either not have to pay the 9%, but may still pay MUCH LESS!
      Read Cain’s words yourself: ““I believe in empowerment zones. Most of the unemployed black Americans in this country are in these mostly economically depressed areas. It could be, and I’m only using this as an example, because we haven’t finished establishing the parameters yet. Instead of in a designated empowerment zone, it being 9-9-9, it could be, as an example only, 3-3-3.”

      What this does, because you have a lot of African-Americans located in cities like Detroit, disproportionately, it would encourage businesses to stay in business there or to move there. It would encourage people to work there, because if you live in the empowerment zone, you’re going to pay a smaller percentage in taxes.”
      http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1110/13/ebo.01.html

      I also dislike that he is effecting ‘behavior change’ by limiting the tax to ‘new’ items only. This is a ruse used by the UNITED NATIONS with all it ‘sustainable

      Cain comes across as genuine and funny still he is backed by the koch bros who, in case you didn’t know, don’t like paying taxes. Under 999 they and their friends would pay no tax as cains plan does away with the capital gains tax. I trust people here understand that rich folk make most of their income from investments.

      I don’t know what soros had to do with the mortgage meltdown……however, even if something like that were true, then all the warning signs were out there already after the collapse of Bear Stearns in March of 2008 (6 months before Cain‘s column on September 1 pronouncing astounding ’economic growth’):

      I respond:
      1) It’s “pitting”, not “pinning”. 2) Where is the data to back up your claim that Cain isn’t “leading the pack”, as you put it? I would assume that, were YOUR prefered candidate leading in the polls, you’d be exulting in the results. (Do I detect a Paulista here?) 3) Whether or not you believe he is leading is irrelevant; Scarborough believes Cain is a lost cause, too, so I guess that means you agree with Scarborough. 4) I *will* wait and see, and would suggest you do the same. In the meantime, I will support Cain. 5) Obama still has strong Black backing, but even that is waning because he hasn’t provided all that “Obama money” so many people thought he was going to be handing out.

    Joe Scarborough admits that he is courting a Liberal constituency. “Once we started Morning Joe, Phil Griffin (MSNBC President) said to me, ‘You can cut out this regular-Joe crap. Our audience is from Boston to Washington, D.C.’” In fact, he seems to be right at home on the Upper West Side. “The thing I hear all the time,” he (Scarborough) says, “when people come up to me on the street, is ‘I love your show,‘ and then there’s a hesitancy, and I’ll finish their sentence: ‘And I’m a liberal?’” Scarborough beams, pleased with his own apostasy, before adding, “Republicans aren’t as gracious.”

    I wonder if Joe still calls himself a Republican? He even gives the RINO’s a bad name!

      Joe is the joke and a bad one at that, as is every other commentator on MSNBC. It is a good thing that MSNBC is still on the air. Their ratings suck, so I don’t doubt that Comcast is losing money, which means they have to subsidize the Station. The programs themselves, which include Joe and the Brzezinski trollop, Mathews, Lawrence O’Donnell, Sharpton, and the list goes on – not a one of them adds any quality of life or well being to their listeners, and furthermore, they are the best advertisement for true conservatism and family values, as the vitriol that is habitually spewed out by them poisons the air around them and even sickens some of their own listeners. The truth will always prevail.

    He knows that the White House watches his show. He says he is still a Republican, but he is getting more and more liberal all the time. Once in awhile he will compare criticism of Obama to that of Bush and how there is a double standard, but that is rare. Herman Cain is not a joke. He has some good, common sense advice that people need to hear. Just because he is not a slick politician who tells people that he will take care of them (instead of them taking responsibility for their own decisions in life), these media “experts” think they can make fun of him and he will go away.

    Scarborough does seem like a tool of the state run media, but I still don‘t want Cain who served on the Board of the Federal Reserve and has repeatedly said we shouldn’t audit the Fed. http://ht.ly/6ZRMw

    Simple he does not like Cain because he is black and Bachmann because she is a woman. Wonder if that makes him a racist bigot?
