‘An Absolute Joke’: Joe Scarborough Deploys His Favorite Insult on Herman Cain & 9-9-9

Is seems Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” is trying to build a track record of publicly railing against Republican presidential candidates. First, he slammed Michele Bachmann back in August. Now, he’s moved on to new-found front-runner Herman Cain.
Just to recap, here are Scarborough’s tough words for Bachmann:
Michele Bachmann is a joke. She is a joke. And now I will pass it on to you. Her answer is a joke, her candidacy is a joke, and anybody that sits here and says she has any chance of winning anything is out of their mind. Take your straw poll, take your caucus, but Iowa, if you let her win, you prove your irrelevance once again.
Watch him dismiss the Minnesota congresswoman, below:
This morning, Scarborough has some similar words for Cain and his 9-9-9 plan (via Business Insider):
A lot of people are saying they like that guy [Herman Cain]. I like Santa Claus. Herman Cain and this 999 thing is just an absolute joke. I said that about Michele Bachmann and people got upset. He is strolling for president. You look at the amount of time logged, the hours logged in the early primary states… he’s just not there. He was in Tennessee the other night. He was on a book tour. While he is on a book tour he’s saying things like he is going to put up electric fences that kill illegal immigrants and when he gets called on, he says, oh, that’s a joke. Some kind of joke.
Watch it, below:

A few months ago Joe was saying that the economy was just fine and that the glenn beck supporters out in the world were so wrong
=======================================
Two weeks before the collapse of Lehman Brothers in September of 2008, then Herman Cain said that the economy was just fine then too:
Economic Growth Surges, but Democrats Ignore the Truth Again
September 1, 2008
by Herman Cain
http://004eeb5.netsolhost.com/hc126.htm
Here’s what happened over the following two weeks:
Report Post »– Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were taken over by the U.S. government (Sept. 7);
– Merrill Lynch was sold to Bank of America;
– Lehman Brothers declared bankruptcy;
– The Fed bailed out AIG;
– Washington Mutual was sold to JP MorganChase;
– Treasury Secretary Paulson said the economy was so bad that $700 billion must be spent on bailouts immediately; otherwise, warned Ben Bernanke, “we may not have an economy on Monday.”

Pizzaman! Don’t forget….
Bachelors degree in Mathematics.
Master’s degree in Computer Science.
Mathematician for the Navy, where he worked on missile ballistics.
Computer systems analyst for Coca-Cola.
VP of Corporate Data Systems and Services for Pillsbury (this is the top of the ladder in the computer world, being in charge of information systems for a major corporation).
All achieved before reaching the age of 35.
Writer and public speaker. He then started to write and speak on leadership. His books include Speak as a Leader, CEO of Self, Leadership is Common Sense, and They Think You’re Stupid.
Radio Host. Around 2007—after a remarkable 40 year career—he started hosting a radio show on WSB in Atlanta (the largest talk radio station in the country).
He did all this starting from rock bottom (his father was a chauffeur and his mother was a maid).
Cain is more than a pizzaman.

Posted on October 17, 2011 at 9:17pmI would have preferred Cain to have introduced a precise SPENDING CUT proposal rather than INTRODUCE A NEW TAX! Last I read, Cain said he’d cut 10% across the board. Let’s see, Obamao’s proposed 2012 budget is 3.7 trillion which means Cain would dust a mere 370 billion off of that. Not very good if you ask me.
As for that new tax, and we know once a tax is introduced it never goes away and only increases over time, it also creates ‘empowerment zones’, meaning some people will either not have to pay the 9%, but may still pay MUCH LESS!
Read Cain’s words yourself: ““I believe in empowerment zones. Most of the unemployed black Americans in this country are in these mostly economically depressed areas. It could be, and I’m only using this as an example, because we haven’t finished establishing the parameters yet. Instead of in a designated empowerment zone, it being 9-9-9, it could be, as an example only, 3-3-3.”
What this does, because you have a lot of African-Americans located in cities like Detroit, disproportionately, it would encourage businesses to stay in business there or to move there. It would encourage people to work there, because if you live in the empowerment zone, you’re going to pay a smaller percentage in taxes.”
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1110/13/ebo.01.html
I also dislike that he is effecting ‘behavior change’ by limiting the tax to ‘new’ items only. This is a ruse used by the UNITED NATIONS with all it ‘sustainable

I respond:
1) It’s “pitting”, not “pinning”. 2) Where is the data to back up your claim that Cain isn’t “leading the pack”, as you put it? I would assume that, were YOUR prefered candidate leading in the polls, you’d be exulting in the results. (Do I detect a Paulista here?) 3) Whether or not you believe he is leading is irrelevant; Scarborough believes Cain is a lost cause, too, so I guess that means you agree with Scarborough. 4) I *will* wait and see, and would suggest you do the same. In the meantime, I will support Cain. 5) Obama still has strong Black backing, but even that is waning because he hasn’t provided all that “Obama money” so many people thought he was going to be handing out.
JMHO; YMMV.
