‘Strike Hard and Fast’: Animal Rights Group Sends ‘Bloody AIDS-Tainted Razor Blades’ to Researcher

The animal rights group The Justice Department was hoping to send a message to UCLA researcher David Jentsch. Their medium? “Bloody, AIDS-tainted razor blades,” says the university. In response, another activist group condoned the actions and said violence is “required.”
UCLA spokesman Phil Hampton told the L.A. times that Jentsch, a neuroscientist, received the package earlier this month. The group apparently does not approve of Jentsch’s work on rodents and primates.
Fellow animal rights group North American Animal Liberation, which works as a sort of animal rights aggregation group, claims to have obtained “anonymous communiques” detailing the Justice Department’s thoughts and plans.
One reads in part:
We are the past generation of animal liberationists, but we will now be the future, striking at the heart of the vivisection industry, and if we have to go back to egg timers and insence sticks then we will. Mark our words, we will destroy all who fall into our focus. This is a call for all those who feel the same, the people from campaigns past, the people who never got caught, and those who did. the animals still need our help so we must strike hard and fast. This will be a turning point.
While another claims responsibility for the razor-blade package:
The Justice Department at UCLA sent bloody AIDS tainted razor blades to David Jentsch at [xxxxx] Valley Vista boulevard in the town of Sherman Oaks, California; instead he should be living in hell which is where he will eventually end up desirably sooner rather than later. He has no business addicting primates to phencyclidine known on the streets as PCP and other street drugs using grant money from the federal government. Confining primates to puny filthy cages then removing them to give them their fix of PCP when primates would not get addicted if it weren‘t for Frankenstein’s like Jentsch. How would Jentsch like the same thing he does to primates to be done to him? That would be justice.
The research both groups abhor seems to involve injecting animals with drugs. Gawker quotes the website BoingBoing, which says Jentsch’s projects include “injecting vervets in ‘squeeze cages’ twice a day with high doses of PCP, then killing them and examining their brains; other projects involved similar procedures with methamphetamine.”
That, North American Animal Liberation says, justifies force and violence.
“Indeed, every successful struggle against oppression, both historically and concurrently, has required the use of stringent force against the oppressor,” the group says on its website. “If only legal and peaceful means, means utilized for more than 100 years against vivisectors, were effective, then there would be reason to the argument against the use of force.”
The Times says the FBI and UCLA police are investigating the incident.

When the Lord gave us dominian, it came with a responsibility to care for His creations. Unfortunately animals never get intelligent spokesmen to speak for them, they get wack jobs like PETA and violent killers like these morons. If you dopes really cared about animals you would SPEAK for them and EDUCATE on their behalf. You are only hurting animals chances of ever getting compassionate help.

The main side effect for protease inhibitor is AZT is the reduction of white blood cells, which in turn leaves the patient immunocompromised. Even in the late part of the 20th century, science has proved that many tests can be carried out through stem cells, computer technology, genetic engineering etc. that is lessening the use of animals as test subjects. This nascent science needs more time and it would be an effective use of animal rights time to use r/d to help this process as a reliable method to using animals.

If one is to enter any dog pound or the SPCA one would witness a scene reminiscent to the death camps of Nazi Germany. Thousands upon thousands of pets are bought upon the whim and fancy of the consumer and once that dear pet becomes a “burden” they are disposed like used toilet paper with no compassion. These animal rights groups would gain the respectability of their cause if they move away from drastic and violent methods towards a small segment of animal suffering and work with those who are unwittingly causing the suffering of animals whether in the lab, in the SPCA, or those the consumer.
Spend more time allocating funds to spade unwanted pets and find them a home. Find out what these animal shelters need. I personally gather used prescription bottles that are expensive for these shelters, including gathering unwanted clothing and newspapers for sick pets. These simple steps alone lessens the suffering of these animals in a large way. I am sure these animal rights groups can use their brains than their brown to help and save animals and pets. There is a saying that “honey draws more flies than vinegar”. They will get the public support if their methods match their compassion for these helpless and forgotten animals.

Now for the second point. I also do not agree with the experiments that this doctor is doing with these animals. He is just spending grant money( our money) to do his experiments. I do not care what the effects of pcp and meth have on a rat or monkey brain. I do not care what the effects of pcp and meth are on the human brain. We have plenty of human subjects to show what effects these drugs have on people. If you are so stupid to use drugs then the effects on you are your problem and not mine. I do not want to fund your drug use,your drug treatment or anything else to keep you from dying in the streets. This is not my problem and it is certainly not a rat or monkeys problem. If this research was done for the benefit of man kind that would be one thing but to study why junkies act like junkies is a waste of time and money. @EINSTEIN THE 2ND If HIV alone won‘t kill you then what kills HIV patients that don’t recive treatment and why do those that recieve treatment live much longer? HIV attacks T cells, A CRUCIAL PART OF THE IMMUNE SYSTEM, Even accomidating for the asumption that HIV will not destroy the T cell it’s disabled or at the very least its function is disrupted crippling the immune system. So yes you could possily say HIV dosen’t kill but HIV does cause AIDS and with AIDS the immune system is so weak that the common cold becomes deadly.
