Ann Coulter Gets Bleeped Out on ‘Morning Joe’ for Calling John McCain a ‘Douche Bag’

Most people who have watched or read Ann Coulter know that she isn’t afraid to make her opinions known. In a rare appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” today, Coulter held little back. In fact, the show’s producers clearly found her words so inflammatory that they bleeped them out for a total of 13 seconds.

Apparently, the conservative commentator called Arizona Sen. John McCain a “douche bag.” Following a few elongated bleeps, Coulter said, “What did I say? Oh, douche bag.” Host Joe Scarborough responded, saying, “Just blur it all out.”

So far, MSNBC hasn’t uploaded the clip, although Politico has grabbed and posted it for curious readers. Below, watch the “bleeps” and “blurs,” as Coulter takes aim at a politician she consistently slams:

Of course this wasn’t the only awkward moment during her brief appearance. She later referred to the deceased Ted Kennedy as “human pestilence.” Watch the clip, here (courtesy of Newsbusters):

This isn’t the first time someone has used inappropriate language on “Morning Joe.” Back in June, TIME Magazine editor Mark Halperin was suspended for calling President Obama “a dick.”

    Ann has always been the COLD, HARD, TRUTH, in no uncertain terms. That’s commendable, but, she turns off many because things like this….she needs to adopt GRACE!

      She really is one of a few that “tells it like it is” .

      Why do people accept the hate coming from the left but reject the truth coming form the right?

      Besides, conservatives have been push-overs for too long. That‘s why this nation is in the shape it’s in.

      @joelas You are so right! The reason that the liberals hate…..and I mean hate Ann Coulter is because she gives them a taste of their own medicine. She acts just like the liberal democrats in her demeanor and outright hatefulnes at times and the liberals cannot stand it. It is like they are looking in the mirror and hearing the wrong agenda coming out. It is kind of like the movie Liar, Liar. I like Ann simply because the liberals hate her. She does goe overboard at times evern for my liking. Also, she is campaigning for Mitt Romney. She needs to give that up and be a little more neutral in her election coverage.

      It wasn‘t hard to vote in ’08 – I voted for Ron Paul. I didn’t have to hold my nose to vote – unlike many in Glenn Beck’s audience who tried to talk themselves into believing they were voting for Sarah Palin and not John McCain. The truth is you voted for John McCain – just like Glenn. No one votes for a vice president in a main election – that’s silly nonsense.

      Like Nancy Pelosi said… “Elections shouldn’t matter”! Meaning… we should get what they (the political elites and the media) want us to have no matter which candidate we vote for. That‘s the way it’s been lately.

      I think it would be nice if I had a candidate on the ballot I could feel good about voting for (as a fiscal conservative small government advocate). Instead there’s always just 2 candidates, total-socialist Democrat or kinda-socialist Republican.

      There is hardly a difference between these two men as far as foreign policy or national security goes. You go ahead and vote for John McCain under the name Mit Romney if you want, he will lose.

      Economy & Constitution are the two most important issues, now it is your job to help others pick the candidate that supports both of these, not pick the candidate who is “electable”. Certainly when the Democrats were nominating their person in 2008 no one thought an inexperienced African American was going to beat the Clinton machine.

      Electability is the buzzword the news media pushes to get their candidate elected.

    She is a brilliant self promoting barker who has gotten rich writing red meat books for people who feel a need to validate their political fears and views. I happen to agree with her more often than not and sometimes find her entertaining should I stumble upon her surfing channels but would never spend my money on her books. That said she is living larger than most of us and for that I applaud her.

      You should read her books. They are very informative and she does use Lexus-Nexis in her research to write her books. She does not use hearsay.

      Ann has a unique style. Some people do not like to hear direct and blatant comments. Frankly, I find it refreshing that someone expresses their opinion and if it hurts your feelings, Oh well. She is not here to coddle you to make the medicine go down smoothly. Sometimes the truth hurts and it is hard to hear. I, for one, love Ann Coulter.

      Her books are actually far better than her on-air persona. They are factual and funny. I have only read one (Treason) but enjoyed it immensely. Sometimes she comes off as pretty obnoxious on tv but her intelligence shines when she writes.

That bill has douche bag written all over it..Where is the MSM on this?..A military state is being pushed at us from both sides of the isle, and I have not even seen a mention of this anywhere..

      You know, A son of a friend of mine has just signed up in the service…He was first told that they didn’t have any positions for him, until he asked for a spot with the military police…Now, he has been on a fast track and leaves right after New years..Kind of scary if you think about it.       Facts don’t support your accusation. Both Levin and McCain are the ultimate of douchebags but this sham was promoted first by someone calling themselves the ACLU. Should have been a sign. I fell for it also. However, if you go to THOMAS and actually read the sections you will see that it is a total lie. Mostly opposite what is stated. Read for yourself.

    People have said “douche bag” on MSNBC thousands of times. Most often by their own hosts and it was never bleeped.

    The truth of this story is that she was calling out McCain and MSNBC didn’t want that getting on the air. McCain is their poster child for flaming liberal republicans, they want to protect his reputation so stupid conservatives that aren’t paying attention might still be fooled by him.

      And the bleeping is no infringement on the right to free speech, not at all. I think Ann consistently speaks the truth, and liberals can’t handle it, unless it’s THEIR truth, in which case there are no limitations to how inflammatory their speech can be.

She, like Palin laughs all the way to the bank as she feeds the angry mob and makes absurd amounts of money off it. Neither actually does anything, neither actually produces anything worthwhile. Wild statements and insults is why she gets invited on such shows, certainly not for insight or intellectual contributions.

    Coulter’s love affair with Christie turned me off, as did her feeble appearance on bill maher last spring or summer….and now her fondness for Romney doesn’t make a whole lot of sense…but I applaud her for calling McCain a d-bag (he is). I just wish she would have gone after Dimbulb Mika…Catfight!

      She made a rash judgment on Christie to be sure, but she nailed it concerning John McCain. That douche bag has been conspiring federal government theft and Constitutional destruction for at least a decade. Without Leiberman there pumping him up the rear-end though we can expect to see him ultimately implode. That’s the good news. The bad news is that it hasn’t happened yet.

      Ann is okay, but she’s no Michelle Malkin when it comes to the conservative message.

      Ann’s act is gorwing old to me as well. She says controvercial things to sell books which is fine but, it doesn’t advance the conservative agenda as much as it advances her own personal agenda.

      Although, I would not necessarily use those words to describe McCain on national TV, I see we come back to the double standard. They call us racist and other terminology, but when we use a term against a Republican they balk. Come on, make up your mind. You either are for slamming Republicans or you are not. I use to watch Scarborough when he had his own show at the height of the Iraq war. He has been drinking too much of the Liberal Kool-aid and now he is the “douche bag”.

      I can understand the F-bomb, as that is one word that belongs nowhere in the English language and in the printed word. It has been overused and has become so common place that someone saying it is second nature. Don’t get me wrong, in the privacy of my own home, I have used the word and I am making a conscience effort to remove that term from my vocabulary.

      I think the Blaze is well within in their right to remove the word and facsimiles thereof. However I used the term “******” and if this is bleeped again it rimed with “booker”.

      Whatever your feelings about his politics this a not a term that should be applied to John McCain . In my mind he paid for a lifetime of free passes for time plus extra time he needn’t have suffered in the Hanoi Hilton for his country.

      RIGHTSOFMAN, I am retired military and while I respect McCain for not only serving his country furthered by what he suffered at the hands of his captors. But, I cannot and will not give him a pass for being a super RINO, and the problems he has caused during his time as a senator. Nor, his lame bumbling, and stumbling campaign that brought us the likes of 0bama to become the president.

      Yeah, he pretty much is. McCain is also eerily similar to Gingrich in that both have reduced themselves to being academics; which means they’re continually a day late and a dollar short. They’re great at saying what “should” have been done or tried, but never lead on, or pioneer anything.

      Man, I can‘t believe we’re gonna get stuck with Romney or Gingrich – the quintessential “status-quo” candidates.
