Anonymous Exposes German ‘Neo-Nazis’ in New Attack

Anonymous Releases Names of German Neo Nazis on Nazi Leaks.netIn a new attack, the hacker collective Anonymous has released the names and other personal information of people from 15 “Neo-Nazi” websites in Germany. But, even anti-hate groups have come out saying that the hackers are going too far in releasing this information.

The Daily Mail reports that more than 1,000 names are posted on a new site called Nazi-leaks.net through Operation Blitzkrieg, which has been being conducted by the group since March 2011.

According to Spiegel (via Business Insider), the hackers seem to be featuring names from “alleged donors to the far-right National Democratic Party (NPD), internal NPD emails, a contacts list from the right-wing weekly newspaper Junge Freiheit and customer data from neo-Nazi online stores”.

Editor’s note: A German reader of The Blaze informs us that some of the targets of this Anonymous campaign should not be defined as “neo-Nazi.” Junge Freiheit, for example, is a respected publication of “new right” thought that could hardly be considered “neo-nazi.”

Some of the information on the website is reportedly from earlier hacks, but Spiegel notes that some information is dated from Dec. 27, which correlates with a hacker conference taking place Berlin during which time some right-wing sites were taken offline.

PC World reports that the Anonymous group that conducted these actions, operating under the Twitter account @OpBlitzkrieg, seems to be lacking support not only from other factions of Anonymous itself but even supported even by some Nazi-haters:

Even Nazi haters have criticized the tactics of Anonymous, according to Deutsche Welle. Referring to Anonymous attacks that have taken some extreme right wing sites offline, Simone Rafael, from the anti-Nazi website Netz-Gegen-Nazis, told the news outlet that it was good “to remove the [Nazi] filth from the Net for a few days” but not to publish personal data on the Internet without its owner’s permission.

“If some extreme right-winger were to do this, we’d be furious, too,” she added.

PC World goes on to include that the Anonymous group in Hamburg called this action a “bad” idea and that one member said “The best way to handle people like Nazis is with ridicule and education.”

Spiegel reports that Junge Freinheit filed charges to sue the operators of the site for what is “clearly a criminal act.”

Here’s the Anonymous video launching Operationg Blitzkrieg from earlier last year:

I thought “Anonymous” was supposed to be going after “Da man”? Neo-Nazis? LOL, White Nationalist/Racist. Neo-Nazis (whatever you want to call them) probably have the least political power/pull in “Western” society.

It would seem “Anonymous” is more into bullying powerless people, while avoiding powerful people, after claiming to go after powerful people!

Some groups think this goes too far??? Really? Is it “Too Far” to post info on child molesters?? I would put Nazis up there with them. Both are pretty hideous people in my view, and deserve to be outed, so as to minimize the damage they can do to humaniity.

No idea what Anonymous is huh? They are defined by their actions, not their words… and their actions are costly, disruptive and illegal. Many political groups say and do weird things, but Anonymous is one of the only ones who have disrupted my own actions directly. They are an affront to liberty and deserve nothing less than imprisonment for their crimes. Contemptible actions are not made right through a resulting “bad” party being punished. Anonymous might as well be talking about themselves in that video.

The European spectrum is different than what we understand in the USA. Left is Communism/Socialism – Right is Facism/Nationalism. The USA spectrum is Left=Total government – Right=No government.

The European scale is entirely left of center on the American scale. The sad part is that our political machine is attempting to become the European scale.

Excellent point. You never hear of a European Libertarian…all people over their have been “ruled” for the past 1,000 years so their culture revolves around being governed. This country was founded on the opposite premise….self-government.

Bet you $5 90% of the people they “outed” are not Nazis, just like 90+% of the people they outed from the Stratfor attack were not government 1%’ers.

Nice job giving these a$$clowns more publicity Blaze, without any regard for delving into all the facts.

Its because when referencing Nazi’s in Europe it is acceptable to use the European Spectrum. Only in America is the Right for lower government, and the Left for more government. Infact, Libertarians are Classic Liberals, or European Liberals, which believe in smaller government.

When asked about it, Obama said, “Hey, Adolph was just a guy on my block, I didn’t know”

Biden just said, “Hey, C’mon Man, who doesn’t hate Jews?”.

Neo-Nazis are socialists. Nazi is short for the National Socialist German Workers Party. When they say the Nazi’s are the far right that is only true in Europe. In Europe the socialists are the right, the communists are the left. In America the conservatives are the right, the proponents of big government are the left. Notice, in the US the socialists and communists are usually working together. Look at OWS.

Way to go, “Anonymous”, you just singlehandedly generated sympathy worldwide for the neo-nazi movement. How? Well guess what? YOU HACKERS are more frightening to John Q. Public than the neo-nazis are. When was the last time I saw a neo-nazi? Well about about thirty years ago on television. When was the last time my anti-virus software told me I had to reboot because one of you little pencil ****** hackers wrote a computer virus? Well, that was just last night!
