Another ‘Mystery Missile’ in the Skies Over Texas?

Last November, the Pentagon dismissed rumors of a mysterious missile launch off the coast of California, claiming it was the contrail of an airplane landing in Los Angeles.

Two months later, the Pentagon may once again have to battle rumors of a “missile” launch, this time off the southern coast of Texas. Video via KIII-TV:

In this case however the skeptics are quickly downplaying speculation:

This must be the least missile-like mystery-missile ever. The video shows a jet contrail – barely moving relative to the clouds. It’s just a jet that happened to fly directly overhead, so the approaching contrail looks vertical.

I think our wonderful goverment is just messing with our heads, the things have to come from somewhere and I trust the goverment about as much as the media. Remember the old saying, believe none of what you hear and half of what you see.

The missiles that I saw fired in the mountains of Utah about 10 years ago always had a consistent red flame from the end followed by a white “contrail” that did not dissipate. I don’t see a red flame… the recording wasn’t that good (looks like something I would do)… but I do not see a red flame.

CONTRAILS DO NOT LINGER ABOUT. They dissipate as they are harmless water vapor. Sorry but that much is a FACT. I am not saying it is a missile either. Perhaps a HR 2977 or HR 3616 could explain it.

Then again, thinking things over, there could also be the idea of computer hackers from foreign nations getting the codes. Man I hope that’s not the case!

Could be an amateur rocket, but it looks like an airliner to me. The atmosphere distorts the trail at the horizon, so you can judge distance… but this is just shaky iPhone video that didn’t even attempt to truly capture it. (How hard is it to brace your arm?)

    “Too fast for a plane”

Sounds to me like the classic illusion caused by cloud movement.

There are private companies that do have the capability to launch missiles up in space for satellite purposes. Who knows? The footage is not the best to really be sure that it’s a missile. After all, everyone is set on paranoid readiness to believe that armageddon is near. Not that I’m saying it is not, but care is needed in questioning what you see here.

I prayed the other day and I live in Texas and I got a shout “get out of texas now!”. I was so alarmed I told my husband. In my prayer I got a “something bad is going to happen in texas”. so I don’t know. my husband works on the base and he may have another job offer in another area and he is considering taking it. Texas has not been all the great. energy is very expensive and our water bill is 200.-500. per month Yes you heard that right 200.00 to 500.00 per month. I get so angry every month as I have never had to pay this kind of bill on water. our power bill and water bill in the summer months is about 1000.00 per month. so I feel texas cost of living is more than california and wages are 30% less here. it sucks.

UPS plane? No wonder their packages get here faster than FEDX! The exaust ‘flame’ from the ‘UPS plane’ tells me it weren’t no plane. Go look at any busy airport and show me a similar flame trail and I‘ll show you a plane in trouble and it ain’t no plane. This latest thing could be a plane, but anyone believeing the Calif. thing a plane, I have a bridge to sell ya!
    IT WAS A WARNING, DUMMIES!

Uh huh, so let me get this straight: you see what looks like a flame, therefore it’s a missile. Nevermind of course that based on the resolution of the video, the distance to the flame, and the effects of the atmosphere over that distance, the only thing clear shown in the video is a bright flickering light that is consistent with a flame. But, rather than do any investigation, you immediately jump to the conclusion that it must be a flame.

How about instead, you do a little digging. This group, for instance: http://contrailscience.com/los-angeles-missile-contrail-explained-in-pictures/ found that the “flickering light was also consistent with sunlight reflecting off the aircraft. As a pilot myself, I can certainly vouch for that theory, as that’s the easiest way to spot other aircraft at dusk. That so-called “flame” happens all the time. While you’re at it, you might want to read the rest of that page. It certainly is a LOT more reasonable an explanation than to say that a phantom foreign submarine with capabilities far beyond anything known to the US arrived off our coast and launched a missile that, in turn, also vanished. But not just any missile, a super-special missile that is undetectable by our satellite based missile launch detection systems, and completely invisible to radar. This super-special missile also has the special power of flying dramatically slower than any other missile system in the world. Not only that, it has the ability to change the color of it’s exhaust plume so that it remains orange even as it enters the upper atmosphere (whereas a normal missile plume at sunset would become white as it enters the upper atmosphere). So, after developing and deploying this new submarine and new super-missile, they don’t even take credit for it? Are you kidding me?

Good god, people. Do you have no concept of visual perspective? What would an airplane contrail look like if the plain was flying straight at you overhead? It would look like a damn vertical line, moving upward. It would look exactly like this video. Geez, even the chemtrail theory conspiracy sounds more rational than calling every vertical contrail a missile.

More than likely true what you say. But I will say that the contrail was moving faster than usual for a jet liner…. At least that’s how it appeared. I won‘t lose sleep over it that’s for sure

We have something called RADAR and logs. Wouldn’t it just be simpler to have the RADAR logs brought out and the plane identified, especially the one over San Diago? Real easy. Why havent’ they done it.

That takes a little time to actually go over the records. In the case of the California one, they did that very thing and ended up proving it was I think a UPS flight, if I remember correctly. But of course, everybody’s an expert on everything these days, and calling it a plane isn’t nearly as ominous as calling it a missile, so the Blaze way to respond would be to refuse to actually listen to the content of any explanation that doesn’t use the word “missile”, and to stand self righteously against anyone who doesn’t accept that every little thing is a damn government conspiracy.

Its not a mystery. Its a failure of the media to do its job and apply all the means necessary to obtain the truth. Accepting “we don’t know” from the government as an answer or passing on their bogus lies about fireworks and chem trails makes the media an accomplice to the deception of the American people.

A rouge missile is the least of our worries. If I missile lands in a residential area, it wont be an accident. We need to be concern with what the Gov. is pumping out of airplanes…on us.
Birds falling from the sky all over the world, fish dying by the millions, streaks in the sky over populated areas and people start dying from respiratory failure in several countries.
Some say it’s biblical. Biblical my ass! It’s the act of desperate governments.
There‘s a lot more that people have to see before it’s all been scrubbed away.

If the government knows what this is they should tell us. If they don’t know, we are in deep trouble. If the government can’t tell us the truth on anything, how can we ever support them. We need the truth.
