Another Day, Another Fake Sarah Palin Story Published by Careless Media

On Wednesday, The Blaze’s Mike Opelka pointed out how Us Weekly published a fabricated story about former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin originally written for a satirical website. The false report quoted Palin bashing pop singer Christina Aguilera as an “airhead diva” who, as a “Latin princess” shouldn’t be allowed to perform on television.

The gossip magazine almost immediately removed the story from their site, but on Thursday, Time magazine pushed the exact same story. In linking to the satirical report — posted on the website of Keith Olbermann’s new employer, Al Gore’s Current TV — Time joked that Palin wanted to “deport” Aguilera for her botched Super Bowl performance.

Another Day, Another Fake Sarah Palin Story Published by Careless Media

Whoops.

Gossip Cop caught the flub:

In a post about Conan O’Brien making fun of Aguilera, Time casually observes, “And you thought Sarah Palin went overboard by commenting that she wanted to deport the singer?”

Sure enough, Time links to the spoof Palin-Hannity “interview” but fails to get that it’s a joke.

Wow.

Maybe the next time Time makes fun of someone else’s “blunder” in a headline, they should be a little more careful with the facts.

Unlike Us Weekly, however, Time still had the story up at press time.

Of course all the attacks on Sarah Palin, and every other conservative for that matter, are inevitably false. The purpose isn’t the truth, or even the virulence, of the attack. It is the number of attacks.
There are idiots who firmly believe SP said “I can see Russia from my back porch” in answer to a question about foreign policy experience. The truth only confuses. “Then WHO did say it?”
It is the sheer mass of the attacks. Their breadth and range. On everything from private life to political statement that is the purpose and gains the purchase in people’s minds. Truth isn’t a casualty. It isn’t even a part of the equation that gets left out. It is irrelevant. The purpose is to smear the straw-man (or -woman) until you can no longer see the person at all. Just the smear.

I am pretty sure they were calculated. More will follow as long as they believe it will discredit conservatives. Remember, they can not speak the truth. I don’t believe they did miss this one. This is done on purpose. Think about it, people such as my Mom, who see’s a story like this, but barely pays attention to politics, yet, votes. If she heard Sarah was saying Christina should be deported for messing up, she attaches a negative feeling to her. Even if told the truth later, My Mom only votes on her feelings and may even vote for a person by the way he/she looks, she won‘t even remember why she doesn’t like Sarah, she just knows there is a feeling she don’t like her.
Example, I would ask , Mom why are you not voting for Sarah. She would say, I don‘t know there is something I don’t like about her. I will say, is because of what she said about Christina before.. and she will think, think, think.. then say . yeah, yeah that’s it. I will remind her, I explained to her tha story was a fake story. But see, she never makes the connection. Especially if there are more attacks on her that those who were raised by the Nuns as my Mom, she felt persecuted by the faith, and can strongly identify with that feeling. This is what they are targeting by with the way they wrote this article. Who are those who may have felt a little persecution religiously while growing up and can identify with this emotion they are aiming at ?? II would say many Independents.
This is no mistake. She should sue them. This is old school down and dirty liberal smear politics in the worst way. Remember, most of America pay‘s little attention to politic’s, me included for a number of years. They did this to Christine Odonel and sh played right into it. They couldn’t resist. So now we have a Marxist in there. Do you think most voters even kow what a marxist is ?? No, but they know what a horror is, they know what a witch is… and I am not saying she is either, This is how they painted her. When she didn’t even sleep with the guy. But they heard the head line, she has a one night stand, compounded with the repeated witch thing, and these type of voters, especially the elderly, vote a marxist in.
Trust me, Don’t be Fooled, this was very Intentional. They certainly should be held liable.

Funny and sad at the same time. One of the trolls here last night was writing about Palin being stupid enough to say she could see Russia from her home. That was from a skit on SNL….even wrong news is damaging.
Say it enough and it slowly becomes the “truth”.

cnsrvtvj you say Sarah Palin is so cool? Is that because she lives in Alaska that she is cool? I’d say she was groovy, man! LOL.

How about the name of this source? Spread your foul lies and propaganda some place else if you can’t do any better than that!

NON-SEQUITUR, you are mistaken. DAVECOOLWORLD is correct.

Sarah Palin said, accurately, that standing on Alaskan land, you can see Russian land with the naked eye. Anyone who has served in the Alaskan National Guard can tell you the same thing, they spend a lot of their time doing just that: watching Russia.

Tina Fey, posing as Sarah Palin in a Saturday Night Live skit, said ‘I can see Russia from my house! [or back yard, I forget which]‘. Our lost media being what it is, most people are familiar with what Tina Fey said, instead of what Sarah Palin herself said.

Surely you can understand that ‘from my house/back yard‘ is not the same thing as ’from Alaska’.

Surely you should know all this yourself. Surely, now you do.

There is a reason people like Sarah Palin speak openly, at times almost casually. When you speak honestly, you don’t constantly worry about getting caught in a contradiction, or having to cover for a previous miss-statement. You sleep a lot better and can relax enough to enjoy life’s better moments when they occur.

Stop trying to demean others. Use your life and talents to help others instead. Live honestly, humbly, and sincerely. Go with G-d’s grace.

      Best regards, Peter Warner.

This is why I watch Fox News. I trust them over most of the media. At least they don’t flat out lie when they air a story. If they do they’re pretty darn clever on making it look like truth. Still, I’d go with Fox before any of the other lame stream media.

Unfortunately, many people out there will just believe this stuff, as they will never see this story or the “retraction.” Don’t be surprised if both US Weekly and Time knew the story was fake and ran the spots anyway. MSLSD does it every night, and about a million morons watch it.

Media Matters NEVER Reports the truth. They were created just for the purpose of mis-direction and lies – intended for an audience of sheeple – those who can‘t or won’t think for themselves.

NO doubt there was NO FORMER FOX EMPLOYEE – just another TROLL.

One gets the impression that the MLM just gets their news tips from the Web. I guess that makes sense. It’s cheaper than a subscription to a wire service!
