Another Drone Heading to Help Patrol…Texas Border?

(The Blaze/AP)- A second unmanned drone to patrol the Texas-Mexico border for U.S. Customs and Border Protection is scheduled to arrive in Corpus Christi next week. Another Drone Heading to Patrol...Texas Border?

Officials announced in July that Texas would get a second drone to patrol its 1,254-mile border with Mexico. Along with another planned for Arizona, the drone brings CBP’s total to six on the Southwest border. The first drone went up in the sky over texas in June.

The newer Texas drone will be based at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi alongside the existing one, which also patrolled the Gulf of Mexico. It will fly reconnaissance and drug interdiction missions in support of U.S.Border Patrol and other federal agencies.

The Predator can fly for 20 hours without refueling, extending by many hours the surveillance capability of a helicopter. Flight crews control the planes remotely.

Given the violence across the border in Mexico, perhaps it is only a matter of time before the drones become fully armed– and fully operational.

Here is a video that gives a good overview of a similar drone program in effect in Arizona, courtesy of Fox News:

Maybe if the government stopped imprisoning border patrol agents they wouldn’t need to spend all this money on armed attack drones. I suspect these drones are to keep U.S. Citizens in and not Illegals out. Be prepared.

Its all about conditioning and then they use it on “YOU”

I am hard core anti illegal immigration. however, I am now against Everify, Border drones or other means of contol that We the people have no harness on.

Vote Ron Paul or you get what you deserve. Isreal wants Ron Paul in office because he will cut billions in aid to the terrorist while Cain the banker uh hummm or Romny the flipflopping liberal will continue to dole out the $ we are borrowing from China, hello McFly………. Yah, that means YOU….

another cool way to patrol the border would be have a volunteer program. any one who has a nifty gun collection could help out. work for free and bust out your collection. would be a much cheaoer way than expensive national guard and paid officers. I am sure many americans would be glad to help protect our borders. where do we sign up!!??

If a border agent gets jailed for “roughing” in the handcuffing of an illegal, does anyone in their right mind believe the drones would ever be armed against illegals? I think not. So what’s going on now?

I think it‘s just a way for the border patrol employees to see into women’s rest rooms. What could be next; taking photos of drivers running red lights? Wait, wait, I know…….I know the government has a gadget which allows the user to see through clothing; it will be mounted on the front of the drone so that videos can be taken of all the naked-appearing border-hoppers. OHHHH NOOOOO…..the inhumanity of it all.

Well its a start…considering we are bing invaded.
emperor Hadrian showed us the way and with modern technology would could secure the boarder with less manpower than the romans used.

Sending down the national guard units for their 2 weeks a year training to man small rapid reaction force FOBs in conjuntions with the monitoring would really make a good start…….

Of course the mexican government would complain about us militarising our borders…mabey we should stop lettng them dictate what we can do in our own country whent hey have a civil war going on in theirs.

Unfortunately… Walls never keep out the Barbarians… not in England… not in China… rather the Defences lock down the defenders… and the attackers seek alternate weaknesses. So, in History, alike the Muslims attacking one Christian Castle at a time… the Defenders NEVER Win! This is why… General Patton said: Always Attack!

Drones fly in every State in America. Have for years. I guess it was about a year ago that the Military put the last of the satellites in place to literally web the earth in a blanket of surveillance. It was also about a year ago that some desk jockey wannabe tech smart cop along the border crashed a drone by changing telemetry and guidance protocols.

I should actually love what Obama has done for my field of work. I’ve averaged 72 hours a week in drone, sound, and lightwave weapons development. The fact is, he’s no using it for warfare by and large, it’s being deployed against average citizens. Oh wait. I mean, it’s being deployed FOR average citizens (cough BS cough) protection.

You‘ve got a screw loose if you think it can’t happen, when it has been happening for hundreds of years. How many prison have been emptied over-seas and told them to go to America? A lot. How many convicts did Great Britain used to send to America 200 years ago? A lot, enough that the Founding Father’s sent King George a letter. They can easily keep American imprisoned in America between two oceans and high technology on the borders. And I’m reminded of Janet making a remark about a fence at Canada.
