Answer FAIL: Kansas Democrat Fumbles Health Care Question

Democrat Stephene Moore is facing off against Libertarian Jasmin Talbert and Republican Kevin Yoder to fill Kansas’ 3rd Congressional seat, a position Rep. Dennis Moore — Stephene’s husband — is stepping down from. While her opponents have both called for the repeal of the Obama administration’s new health care overhaul, Stephene Moore, a nurse, supports it and contends that repealing the law will actually add to the federal deficit.
During a debate Wednesday, Moore claimed repealing the health care law would add $1.3 trillion to the deficit, a figure more than double the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office’s estimate of $455 billion.
After the debate, the local ABC news affiliate caught up with Moore for an explanation of the discrepancy.
“My head is full of all the things that were just said to me up there. I’m very, very sorry,” she said. “If the health care budget is cut — I’m sorry, repealed, the $1.3 billion is going to come back into the budget from all the things that we’re seeing as cost savings in that health care budget.”

Posted on October 6, 2010 at 8:21pmDo not, I repeat, DO NOT, feel sorry for these people. That is what they are hoping you will do and vote them in. These are the same folks who want trophies for everyone who shows up to play including all moms, dads, grandparents, janitors, passers-by, etc. Remember when WINNERS won the trophies and the whiners were shamed? Does anyone else see the beginning of the usurpation of our children with Barbie and Barney????? Boy, fast forward to today and the videos currently on THEBLAZE and I can see the plastic perfect body bimbo (no apologies to np, jb,tuoitWH, hc, jc, etc….) and the “cute, sweet” little dragon (satan, anyone???). No wonder our kids are at risk!!!

Posted on October 6, 2010 at 9:39pmIf we should get rid of Obamacare because it’s not in the constitution…….. seems to me we are going to have to get rid of an awful lot of stuff. Let’s start with private health insurance companies, who reap billions while doing nothing to actually help your wife/child/parent/friend get well. Consider the estimates that approximately 1/3 of every health care dollar goes to these folks. Ever had them deny a claim for no apparent reason at all? Or delay approval while your loved one suffered. I would rather deal with the IRS than a health insurance company. These are the people who spent hundreds of millions of dollars disseminating misinformation about health care reform. They didn’t kill health care reform, but they did gut it of the public option. Now, no one is happy. The people who voted for obama say the law doesn’t go far enough, and people who didn’t say it goes too far. Oh well, life sucks and then you die.

Posted on October 7, 2010 at 9:19am@BAHEMUT80
Don’t worry. Voting conservative will help in this mid-term. You just remember that it IS a Democrat majority in the house and senate along with a democrat in the White House who have been presiding over a 2-year decline in the US economy. You go ahead and vote for more failure. I‘m sure eventually you’ll wake up. The rest of us with some sense will correct the mistake and vote conservative.
Oh, by the way, will you tell your MAN Obama not to OBSTRUCT the newly elected conservatives after this election with his Veto pen? He’ll be standing in the way of the real recovery if he does. Thanks.

Posted on October 9, 2010 at 12:45amBahemut80, please do a little research on your own and chart how much the deficit has risen and compare that with the party that controls congress. You should find a direct correlation that proves that house and senate Democrats are far more responsible for the insane deficit than are Republicans. Hopefully you’ll also find that deficits tend to be a bit smaller when the white house and congress are controlled by different political parties.
So a conservative win in November will be good for America.
