Anti-Semitic Hate: Vandals Spray-Paint ‘Die Jews’ & Swastikas on Brooklyn Buildings

Anti-Jewish hate crimes continue to plague New York City. Over the weekend, Midwood, Brooklyn, was the latest area to fall prey to anti-Semitic actions. At least three buildings were spray-painted with swastikas and the words “Die Jew” were painted on a garage door at a private home.
Following the most recent string of hate, residents are concerned that more anti-Jewish occurrences are soon to plague the local community. See, Midwood has one of the largest populations of Holocaust survivors in the United States. Gothamist has more:
The “Die Jews” message is believed to have been left sometime before midnight Saturday, and two swastikas were also painted on the door of an apartment building at across the street. On Sunday morning, two big swastikas were also found on the Yeshiva of Brooklyn school on Ocean Parkway and Avenue L.
“When people see this ultimate symbol of hate, you cannot imagine the pain,” said New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind, who lives just feet away from the home that was defaced. ”These things have been happening almost every single day in the tri-state area.”
“For children to come to school to see a swastika on their school is really shocking and appalling and it’s unacceptable,” added NYC Councilman David Greenfield. “And it’s just not the kind of behavior we expect in New York City, which has the largest Jewish population in the country.”
Jewish Week also reported on another recent incident that occurred in the Bronx:
…last weekend, in the small Bronx community of City Island, vandals broke into Temple Beth-El and stole ritual items, including silver crowns from Holocaust-era Torah scrolls and kiddush cups shortly before Shabbat.
“Instead of preparing to welcome Shabbat with joyful song and dance, community members and clergy arrived to a mess in the sanctuary and police investigators saying, “Don’t touch anything,” said the congregation’s rabbi, Shohama Weiner, and a shul member, David Evan Markus, in an email message to The Jewish Week.

These unfortunate incidents come on the heels of other anti-Jewish actions that occurred in New York City late last year. In November, we reported on swastikas that were painted onto NYC library branches and a synagogue. We also covered a subway sign that was vandalized during that same month.
Interestingly, the subway stop, called Avenue J (one of its signs was changed to read “Avenue Jew”) is located in Midwood as well. Additionally, cars were torched in the same community late last year as well, although police are unsure whether the burnings were hate crimes or an insurance scam.
These prior crimes came around the same time that the Anti-Defamation League released a survey showing that anti-Semitic attitudes have risen in the United States. The study found that 15 percent of Americans — nearly 35 million adults — hold anti-Jewish views (up from 2009 by three percent).

Because the greatest number of anti-Semites nowadays are Muslims obviously. That can’t be seriously disputed. And since, Arabic Muslims are Semites, can they correctly be called anti-Semites?
I don’t thnk so. However, they CAN be accurately defined as anti-Jewish. which is what they are, since they have sworn to kill Jews at every opportunity.

Most of the anti-semites here are CHINO, or atheists, and some closet or in-your-face muslims.
As for historical patterns, as long as Jews were good dhimmis, all was honkey dorey. The moment they displayed any degree of uppittiness, they got wrath of the offended (by the unbelievable audacity) muslim overlords.

Report Post »I agree modern Christians are mostly peaceful. I was speaking of the Middle Ages, when Jews were persecuted more under Christian rule than under Muslim rule. My point was that Christians have a bloody past that they should remember and learn from and try not to repeat. Unfortunately, if the KKK and people like techengineer are any example, there still are Christians (or ChINOs as you call them) who carry on this hatred. And they are at least as dangerous as any Muslim Extremist.

Foolishness is assuming that Christians are anti-semitic today, because there was anti-semitism many years ago. There’s no real anti-Semites nowadays among Christians. That’s nonsense.
And so far as your assessment that Muslims aren’t historically anti-semitic has absolutely nothing to do with what the mood is today.
Do you live in the past, my friend? Are you unaware that almost the entire Muslim world hates Jews, because of the Palestinian situation and they teach in their schools that it is o.k. to kill Jews? Do you not know that almost the entire population of the Middle East…if they had the chance…would eliminate Jews any way possible? Do you think that those that emigrate to Europe and the US have a magic transformation wherin they undergo a deep love and tolerance for Jews simply by crossing a border?
Were you aware that the meteoric rise in Anti-Semitism in France is the direct result of the meteoric rise in the influx of Muslims, which has been recognized by the French government?
Your allusion to Christians being more anti-semitic than Muslims…and your entire post….leads me to believe that you don’t like Christians and are eager to place the blame on them rather than anyone else. That’s what is foolish.

BTW, in New York State where the above incidents occurs, these are NOT examples of vandalism. Hate crimes in NY are felonies which could get you sentenced to state prison. You can also be prosecuted federally for violating the civil rights of the victim.

Thurmond was a Democrat at the time, but became increasingly alienated from the party as it adopted more and more of a pro-Civil Rights position. Obviously the whole “no means yes” “she really wanted it” crowd are in it for their own pleasure and ego. But take prison rapes, for instance. I feel that these rapes are all about asserting dominance and control by objectifying the victim and dehumanizing them. Simply put, both act as motivators in different environments.

BTW, I have a friend who is actually African-American, as he came here from Nigeria. He can’t stand American black “culture”. I won’t mention the expletives he uses in referring to American blacks, needless to say these are by no means endearing — he uses “black trash” when he’s in really really good mood. .

They usually have somewhat vague idea about the religion itself, considering that illiteracy in majority muslim countries is rampant. If you check the background of jihadis, most of them were/are from relatively well off settings and can read.
I usually specify “Islamists”. That, though, does not bode well with Turkey PM Erdogan that said: “There is no such a thing as moderate Islam, there is just Islam.”
So, there you have it. Erdogan does not like you to make a distinction, because he know his Koran well.

Also, in ME culture, there is that tendency to bet on a strong horse. So, it is the radical minority that would hold the sway once they get their hands on the reign. You’d see what will be happening in Egypt pretty soon (it is happening now, but only as the first testing he waters mode) and it would lend some legs to my contention.
As I said, Hamas and Hizbollah do have the idea of going fist after Jews and christians next. That you call them terrorists does not in any way diminish it. Janjaweed had no proclamation of hat sort and they butchered christians like on a conveyor belt. So does Boka Haram.
Well, I suppose they did not meet their takfiris yet. After Jews and christians, they’re next.

The true American right is for string defensive military, individual rights, fiscal responsibility, and limited government. I’ll agree with you that this crime could just as easily have been perpetrated by Christians. There are entire neighbourhoods in the cities and rural areas of the US where the law is not enforced or respected. There are places where innocent people are left to the mercy of drug gangs, robbers, rapists, etc. Neighbourhoods where innocent people live in literally ruins of buildings.
In the meantime, our brave police spray teenagers sitting down in the face with pepper spray, instead of protecting innocent people in poor neighbourhoods from drug dealers and robbers. Our police taser mentally ill people that could have been subdued peacefully.
Has anyone ever watched ‘The Wire’ ? Do, if you haven’t. It shows the real problems in America. Unless these are solved the country will never achieve its potential.
