‘Anybody Give a Sh**?’ NYC Subway Riders Flip Off Man Trying to Lead USA Chant

When the news of Osama bin Laden’s death broke Sunday, there was an inspiring video making the rounds showing NYC subway riders chanting “U-S-A!” That was Sunday. Fastforward two days, and New Yorkers in one subway care aren’t having anything to do with the patriotic chant.

The Daily What has posted a video showing a man trying to inspire his fellow riders by asking them to join in the chant. They don’t. Instead the roll their eyes, and flip him the middle finger:

Anybody Give a Sh**? NYC Subway Riders Flip Off Man Trying to Lead USA Chant

Anybody Give a Sh**? NYC Subway Riders Flip Off Man Trying to Lead USA Chant

“Bin Laden’s dead, anybody give a sh**?” the clearly angry man asks after everyone refuses his gesture. “You’re welcome to the military and everyone who protects you while you sleep.”

You can watch it below [Content warning for language and those middle fingers]:

The man who posted the video included this in his description:

Attempted the first “post-Osama” day. Look, I’m fully aware of how stupid I look and sound. I obviously went about this the wrong way, though I still don’t see anything wrong with a little community patriotism particularly on such a day. I’m not really the guy I sound like on the video, I guess I was over-enthused.

God, some of this crap just drives me crazy!!! I lived in NYC for 14 years. I was born and raised in the South and I am a hard-core gun-owning conservative with a pickup and mudtires and a dog riding in the back, BUT I LOVE NYC!!! There is no place like it in the world. They are warm, gracious and gregarious people who will do anything for anybody AFTER they determine you are not trying to scam them or shake them down. That just goes with living in such a big city. Those of you who draw your negative opinions of NYers have no clue what the real NYers feel. Most of them are just like the firefighters and police; they love their country and would be at the front of the line to volunteer for any battle to defend it. You base your opinions of NY on the elites of Fifth Avenue and the ultra-liberals of the Upper West Side. I rode the subways every day and you are constantly being hassled by someone selling something or trying to scam you. These people in this VERY SHORT video probably thought this guy was trying to use them, waving his cell phone camera around quietly and then popping off with a chant out of nowhere. It was probably his own finger in front of the lens! Live in the city and ride the subway daily for six months and then you will understand. 90% of the guys who worked in the ruins of Ground Zero were locals and many of them had no family buried there. They just went to hell everyday and came home coughing. They are the best of the best because they made no excuses. Chuck Schumer and Jerry Nadler and Joy Behar and Rosie Odonnel and Mr Wiener and Mr Bloomberg are NOT REAL NYers!!!
You may not care to live there and think it is crazy to do so, but they would feel the same about not living there. But you don’t hear them calling non-city dwellers a**holes and slinging insults at them like some of you have done here. We should realize there are allies everywhere, even in the bluest state in the country. Look at Jersey for proof. Give them another 5 or 6 years and Jersey will be as red as Texas after Gov Christie shows them how conservative government works and how it will save them from their own demise. NY is no different. Guliani could take the governship and NY would be a red state too. We are all conservatives when it comes to what will save the country. When faced with the choice of sink or swim, the ultra-liberals of NY’s 5th Ave will become a minority and the average NYer will turn out to vote for what is necessary to get us back to being a great country.

      USA!! USA!! . . .

What? . . . Nobody here have any patriotism?

Cattle in Cattle cars are not supposed to chant!

They’ll feel too connected and they know thats dangerous for some reason, so they hang their heads and go back to sleep. Besides, chants of USA are so childish for them they could not even care less.

However they will care more about the USA when they don’t have it anymore and they will be asked (if they survive) what they did to save their country when their country needed them most. If they answer honestly it will be because they were apathetic, thought someone else would carry the load, to preoccupied with their own littles lives to get involved in anything meaningful to help restore their country after 911 and even before.

Too consumed with the ever present party theme America has invented since the glory days after WWII. They stay ignorant because its safer and easier that way. They do not want to think about the hard things we face because then they have to admit something must change, they must change like giving up materialism which most Americans lives revolve around.

Thats where they’ve got this nation by the balls. Stuff, more stuff is all we can think about and who has nicer stuff. We are spoiled rotten, self centered, egotistical and thats just me. We must change and change fast. Do we really need a mushroom cloud over NY to drill the message home WE as a Nation are under threat of total ruin and takeover. If Americans will not even chant out of pride that they have finally vanquished atleast one of the most evil people on the planet, then there is no evil at all, atleast in their minds.

Don’t think for a second that the SEAL team wanted to give that towel headed murederer a muslim burial. They were ordered to do so by the PC crew in the WH. Get off your islamic high horse and look around you. There is a seething, burning anger towards Islam that your statements only feed. If you think that islam has the corner on righteous indignation just wait. People are opening their eyes and they don’t like what they see. Islam and you and your ilk have over stepped your allowance of arrogance. There is a ground swell movement coming your way and you will not be able to stop this wave. Just keep pushing our buttons. Keep shouting insults in our face. Keep calling us murderers and so on. Keep it up. Feed the fire. Feed the fire. This fire will consume you. The fire that islam feeds will consume it. In the end, islam will fail. Light will prevail and the darkness that islam thrives in will be cast away. Feed the fire Rose, feed the fire.

Just another example of a decaying city rotten to the core. The entire country had NYC’s back after 9/11. From coast to coast brave men and women enlisted to get back at the terrorists who perpetrated the horrible act. President Bush stood at ground zero promising to get them. He threw out the first pitch at the World Series in Yankee Stadium. Then he fostered policies and programs that eventually led to Osama Bin Laden’s killing.

What did NYC do? In a political nanosecond, it revered to its true colors. PC, left wing; NYC threw the very same Americans who supported it right under the bus. Bush they said was a “war criminal.” The rest of the country was just a bunch of ignorant racist yokels, clutching bibles and guns.

Please spare us the exceptions to this overwhelming rule. Totally disgusting.

Okay, the thing about New Yorkers. We’re the ones who had to actually mourn the victims of 9/11 because we actually knew them. And we’re the ones who are actually in danger if there are any further attacks. And we’re the ones who try to make sure that we actually have the freedom that the enemy hates us for. And Monday morning after Bin Laden died a lot of us had hangovers, so we’re not really impressed by people who pretend to know what it’s like to be victims, and pretend to know what it’s like to be in danger, pretending to know what is and isn’t an appropriate time and place for us to show our national and community spirit, or how we should feel about some of the things that people pretend that they’re doing in our name.

There’s a huge difference between a spontaneous burst of emotion (first baseball game in NYC after 9/11, Mets v Braves, Shea Stadium, 9/21/2001) and someone trying to “create a moment” and have their little video go viral on You Tube. We don’t all need to wear our emotions on our sleeves. If we did we would never get anything done. Many of us relive 9/11 every day – every time we look toward Manhattan and see a gaping hole in the sky…but we continue to live our lives and try to keep the very sick economic engine of this country running. Life sucks sometimes, but we have to keep going, and unless you have lived in NYC… or DC or Shanksville for that matter… you have no right to judge how we as NYers react to anything. Walk a mile in OUR shoes.
