AP: Google Seeks to Purchase Hulu

AP: Google Seeks to Purchase HuluLOS ANGELES (AP) — A person familiar with the matter says search giant Google is one of about a dozen companies involved in talks to potentially buy online video site Hulu.

The person said presentations to sell the company have started, but it’s too early to declare a leading bidder.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the discussions are confidential.

Hulu began to look for bidders early last week after an unsolicited offer prompted Hulu’s board to look for other interested parties.

Hulu runs movies and shows from broadcasters ABC, Fox and NBC. The company is owned by the broadcasters’ parents, The Walt Disney Co., News Corp., and Comcast Corp., along with Providence Equity Partners.

Google’s interest was earlier reported by the Los Angeles Times.

Now if we could just get Americans to work together and cancell all their Internet Accounts for 30 to 60 days after Google absorbs HULU or any onter internet enterprise, Google could be forced out of business.
OF Course, Americans will “NEVER” woork together on anything so Google Will Run the Internet. The Banks will Run the World and the Council on Foreigh Relations will rule the Northern Hemisphere.

I am a subscriber to Hulu Plus and if in fact they are sold to the OBAMA-wing civilian surveillance team GOOGLE, remember that stupid VP who went to join Egypt’s ahab spring tour. Anybody heard from that Chucklehead lately. I am now going to cancel my subscription with HULU, because this administration, Spooky Dude or both (Crime INC) will make sure Guglie will buy HULU+.

They will still have to pay for the programming provided by the networks via licensing. So essentially, they bought a name. Murdoch got burned for 1/2 billion with the MySpace mistake. Who knows HULU may do well or simply be another propaganda arm for Google.

Hulu was created so that the professional copyrighted shows would not have bootlegged copies on youtube, yet have them on the internet so people could watch them and they had control of them with ads.

Google buys youtube. Broadcasters make Hulu for their content only and keep it off youtube with vigor then Google buys Hulu for use of that content on youtube.

I only watch online tv, Hulu included of course. (Which is why I’m a fan of GBTV, already got my membership) I’ve gotten rid of my cable service, $100+ a month to some watch tv is ridiculous, especially since I only watch about 4-6 hours a week. I hope Google does buy Hulu and turns it in to “the next big thing.” Then I’ll only have to pay $10-$20 per-month… which is really all it’s worth to me, and what I think the fair-market-value really is!

Kill Cable!!! You’re time is over! (I hope)

I with you. I just hooked up my Roku and signed up for Netflix and Hulu Plus. I LOVE the idea of dumping Comcast! I think all those that are complaining about this are just clueless as to what you can do with a service like Hulu?

Yeah they’re plugging into the youth. Hulu provides web syndication services for other websites including AOL, MSN, MySpace, Facebook, Yahoo!, and Comcast’s fancast.com. This is where the 18-25 group plugs into. They want to keep feeding to that group for a few years influencing them. Like training a dog.

      @EndGamer

Hulu is Worthless????? Their downfall is they are content locked to their owners content… if they owned by a 3rd party, and could land the same rights as netflix and other VOD services, then it would be a rather good service….

      GOOGLE’S CORRUPTION UNVEILED:

Google has almost cornered the market on almost every type of technological advancement over the internet. When they become interested in a product, they try to buy it, when they can’t have it or get their secrets, they steal the idea and become a competitor of that company. This is what happened to Google and Skype, luckily Skype stayed strong. They are in court for things like that right now.

They love to steal information, remember when they were stealing people’s information over wifi, they went to court over that. They were taking pictures of people with the street view and being sued in different countries. Great ideas, no disregard for people’s privacy.

They also find ways of infiltrating organizations. The one most people heard about was in Egypt when one of their execs, an Egyptian national went to empower the rioters in Cairo. ( http://tiny.cc/8jyi9 ) They got a lot of support out of that and like Obama, helped the Muslim Brotherhood find their way back into Egypt.
