“It’s time that the District of Columbia told the Congress to go straight to hell,” a fiery Eleanor Holmes Norton (D -DC) told MyFoxDC.
Norton represents the District of Columbia in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (D -DC) was on fire when she spoke to FOX 5 Morning News Thursday about how Washington, D.C. residents are being treated as work to avoid a government shutdown continues.
“We are absolutely outraged. This is the functional equivalent of bombing innocent civilians,” she said.

The e-mails we’ve gotten (my husband is in the army) state they will be paid retroactively once a new budget has been passed. My husband said they did get paid during the last shutdown; however, from what I understand, they specifically omitted the military from being paid this time around….the difference is back then we didn’t have a socialist/marxist leaning democratic half of congress & a COMMUNIST-loving president who hates the military.

There will be no trash pickup so the residents are talking about throwing the trash on Boehner’s yard. If you decide to watch any of these streams, have PLENTY of DUCT TAPE handy. This woman is always right up there w/Sheila Jackson Lee, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz & all the other lefties towing the socialist far left mantra whenever they have a debate about anything.

Posted on April 8, 2011 at 6:14amSo, I guess the government shutdown for snow in January 2010 was sort of like God carpet bombing DC with little white fluffy bombs. The governemnt shut down for a week, and no one outside DC would have noticed if it weren’t for the new coverage.
Then of course hours after the shutdown goes into effect, the Prez is going on vacation, at your expense and dragging hundreds of government employees with him. Ever federal employee has been told that they can not use the shutdown as a eason to go on a vacation, they have to be ready to be at work the next day when the shutdown ends. I spell hypocrit like this: “OBAMA”.

As someone born there (& who left at age 4), DC was designed as a federated district to be overseen by CONGRESS – deliberately not via representation, so that its citizens would not have undue influence upon Congress. It was never intended to end up as a mini welfare state, nor to have the population it now supports..

I truly believe so as well. I don’t mean that as a joke either. Having dealt with dementia in my paternal grandfather and now my mother (alzheimers) for an extended period, as well as several family friends and clients to a lesser extent, the behavior of liberals and the demented show striking similarities.
I could go on for days about it, but to sum it up quickly, they do almost everything a$$-backwards!
