Apple Surpasses Google as World’s Most Valuable Brand

Reuters reports:
Apple has overtaken Google as the world’s most valuable brand, ending a four-year reign by the Internet search leader, according to a new study by global brands agency Millward Brown.
The iPhone and iPad maker’s brand is now worth $153 billion, almost half Apple’s market capitalization, says the annual BrandZ study of the world’s top 100 brands.
Apple‘s portfolio of coveted consumer goods propelled it past Microsoft to become the world’s most valuable technology company last year.

Their stuff only lasts because the OS system is a Linux Unix based system, meaning very simple. Well not now days I guess their crap keeps crashing. I can fill up my fingers of their crap sold to people I know. My iphone is crap, had to go to Android.
It is funny how most Apple users are either computer stupid, or socialists at heart lol

Posted on May 10, 2011 at 9:40amWas converted to Apple products in 1993. They are amazing and I’ve not looked back since! I currently own 5 Apple products and they are all superb products. Before that, I‘ve owned 2 desktops and 3 MacBook Pro’s which I still have them all and they all still work. My first one was a PowerComputing from 05/06ish. I still have it and it still works.
Please share stories/links where they’ve pressed any leftist agenda, I’d like to see and review them. Aside from an Israeli territory not being recognized on a weather app one time (which I’m not even sure that was an Apple issue), I don’t know of any. Just because Jobs is a leftest, I’m ok with that so long as he does not spew lies and evil against my beliefs. From what I understand, he’s a very private person and keeps to himself. As a die-hard Apple user, I follow everything Apple closely.

I have read that the companies in China that produce Apple products employee over 500,000 people. That’s a lot of jobs. But then you can hire a lot of people if you pay them very little money. If you don‘t need your hand held or you’re not some smug hipster, you use a computer not pre-built by the “benevolent dictators” at Apple. You know, so you can do what YOU WANT, and not what Steve SAYS you want. I just feel sorry for the people waiting in lines to throw their money at the weekly new iPhone release.

How is that something you want to blame Jobs for. He’s just trying to design and make superior products. Maybe if more Americans sought out to these types of characteristics rather than the TGIF mentallity, we’d be in much better shape. I model my personal work ethics after these very same characteristics. Apple’s are not for everybody, but I can’t understand hating them over it.

Posted on May 9, 2011 at 11:30pmI own 5 PC’s and One Crap apple Mac Book. Over priced and same hardware I put in my PC’s. Well kinda Apple is way slower then any of my PC’s. Mac can not use Multi 64bit CPU’s. Mac sucks at gaming. PC is 90% of the market and 10% is mac. Mac is for people who just need it to do simple things like browser the internet, listen to Music, and Email. Mac can not stand up to the Gaming sector even if you do put a 500 Series card in it.
Report Post »I build my I7- with 24 GB of memmory for about 1000 dollars, Mac’s best I7 does not even have 24GB of memmory and cost more the 5000 dollars. I do use Some mac software. But I emulate the OSX 10.6 OS with in Windows 7.
Also my Tablet that runs Windows 7, and Android can emulate Ipads 4.3 OS. Plust much more power at 1.6 dual core then crap over priced apple.
This next year, Apple is going to get their self served, with the world of Android tablets that work on x86 and ARM’s. The thing about apple they will have buyers, those who want to be totally controlled and no way to upgrade other then a few software bits or big bucks.
I had a Iphone for 3 months and now I got my Atrix, I gave it away. Under powered, and politicallty choosen apps. You noticed Apple kicked the Glenn Beck insider app off their apps store after 8 hours on Jan 08 this year. and no longer avalible. Well unless you saved the IPSW file like me.
Apples is just like the goverment over paid and don’t really do much. I guess I should of said just that.

i have a quad core quad processor with sli 2g video 16 g ram and 4 tbytes blows anything they offer out of the water ………………and i only payed about 650 for the parts

Put the politics aside, Apple has, and always will be, a superior product over it’s competition.
The most popular, even to this day, is the 1984 Apple commercial. Pure marketing genius at the time, to take on IBM with the commercial. Where is IBM now?
For so many years, the Winbloze crowd would taunt us MacAddicts, quoting Microsoft stock prices, market share, ad nauseam. Where is M$ stock now? $25 a share? LOL! My friend Matt, back in 2001, bought a ton of M$ stock for a pretty high price. I told him numerous times he was being idiotic. I told him back, when Apple stock was only a couple dollars a share, to buy it now.. because it’s going to go up.. thanks to the wonderful iMac at the time.. then shortly after at… the iPod.
Had he listened to me, he wouldn’t have lost all that money. He’d be a millionaire. Apple stock is now $347 a share. Too bad back then I was only a bag boy in a grocery store, ‘cuz I’d be laughing all the way to the back.
To all you naysayers out there… see I told you so 10 years ago. Who has the last laugh now… surely not you Windblows users and Bill Gates. (Well, Bill Gates is…. he bought a lot of Apple stock back in 1997).

I have a three year old macbook that I refurbed, and it is a fast little machine. I run the OSX as a main OS on the computer but I also have windows on it for those few times I need a specific program that is windows only to run. In regards to the high price of the products, I believe that when buying a computer, you do get what you pay for.

Of course, what everyone conveniently leaves out is Exxon makes about .5cents on average profilt per gallon of gas sold, or with a $4.00/gallon price – they make about 1% profit vs. Apples 42% profit per item sold…
So why are gas prices so darned high, much higher then they should be? Well, you should ask the State and Federal govt – they charge over .60 to .80 cents in tax on a gallon of gas… then of course they mandate the “Summer Blend” which further raises the cost per gallon to put in all of the crap they say reduces emissions, but some studies have found quite the opposite…. but we “do it for the children, oh please do it for the children, we must save them….”

Someone else besides me that builds their own PC. I have NEVER bought a prebuilt PC since 1988. Although I must admit, I have bought a couple of laptops, those are hard to build from scratch.
But I would put my PC up against any Alienware, and for a few thousand cheaper.

Report Post »I have always avoided the proprietary PC’s. But, laptops are getting so powerful now, I think maybe one more PC build is all that is left. It was a great run. Think i will always have a tower PC, but now looking into app development. Alas, PC builders are a dieing breed.
