Applebee’s Takeout & Sneaking Through the Woods: How Ryan Was Kept Secret From the Press

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — After Mitt Romney decided on a running mate, Paul Ryan’s carefully planned transition from congressman to vice presidential candidate began – in deep secret.

Almost a week ago, Ryan snuck through Chicago‘s O’Hare airport in a baseball cap and sunglasses and flew to New England. A Romney adviser’s 19-year-old son picked up Ryan and drove him to a private meeting in his parents’ dining room where the deal was sealed.

By Friday afternoon, Ryan was cutting through the Wisconsin woods behind his home to evade a reporter on the street out front, and heading to North Carolina. By night, he was eating Applebee’s takeout at a nondescript chain hotel in that state and preparing for his big debut speech, according to a top Romney campaign aide who described the furtive maneuvering to reporters late Saturday.

All this, so that no one would see it coming: A Saturday morning unveiling of the GOP ticket in Norfolk outside the USS Wisconsin, the battleship named for Ryan’s home state, as the sweeping theme from the movie “Air Force One” played.

This was the culmination of a methodical, highly secretive process that involved 10 top Romney staffers, a volunteer team of attorneys, a secret secure room in Romney’s Boston headquarters, and reams of paper on a long and then a short list of potential candidates.

In the end, the decision about who to pick rested only with Romney: A candidate who is known for marshaling opinions from across the spectrum, gathering and analyzing all the available data, and then evaluating the risks – before making the final call alone.

The people around Romney told him it was risky.

As the Republican presidential candidate prepared to pick his running mate, he kept in constant touch with his senior advisers. They met in small groups and alone with the candidate. He talked to a number of other friends and confidantes, soliciting advice and opinions.

Aides knew the decision was fraught, and they told Romney so. It was a choice, they knew, that would fundamentally re-shape the race for the presidency. It would acknowledge Romney needed to offer voters more than just being the guy who wasn’t Democratic President Barack Obama. And it would tie Romney to the architect of a highly controversial budget proposal that Democrats are eager to use to badger the Republican.

Romney, himself, decided the chance was worth taking.

“This was Mitt’s decision,” said Beth Myers, the senior adviser who led the vice presidential search. “He kept his own counsel.”

In picking Ryan, Romney bypassed Republicans including Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

Officials said he had called all five to notify them of his decision. Pawlenty received a call Monday evening, the day after Ryan accepted, while the other four were all notified on Friday, just hours before the announcement.

Romney’s campaign kept the details of the search carefully concealed until late Saturday.

Myers outlined the process for reporters who gathered in a cavernous airport hanger at Dulles International Airport in Virginia, saying she consulted with former Vice President Dick Cheney about the extensive, highly sensitive process.

A long list drawn up in April of possible contenders was narrowed by May. Romney called the people on it to ask if they were willing to undergo the intensive vetting process.

All said yes. Everyone who was asked submitted detailed questionnaires and paperwork, including several years’ worth of tax returns.

The volunteer attorneys sequestered in a secured room pored over the documents. They dug through public records. Each night, they locked the paper in safes in the Boston headquarters.

Some questions came up. So in June, during an event for donors in Park City, Utah, Myers met with several candidates to clarify a few more details with each. On July 2, she met with Romney at his home in Wolfeboro, N.H., where they went through folders on each person under consideration.

On Wednesday, August 1, the day after returning from a weeklong trip abroad, Romney met one last time with the nine advisers he had consulted throughout the process, including longtime friend Bob White, campaign manager Matt Rhoades and years-long confidante Ron Kaufman.

It was one final gut check.

That afternoon, Romney called Ryan from Myers’ office. Would he come to Boston to meet with Romney?

Yes, came the reply.

So Ryan – asked to dress casually – arrived at O’Hare airport in Chicago in jeans, a baseball cap and a pair of sunglasses. No one recognized him. He flew to Hartford, Conn., where Beth Myers’ 19-year-old son, Curt Myers, picked him up in a rented SUV and drove him to the Myers family home in Brookline, Mass. Meanwhile, a Secret Service detail drove Romney from his lake house in New Hampshire, and the two men met alone for over an hour in her dining room.

“We talked about the campaign and how it would be run and talked about how we’d work together if we got the White House; what the relationship would be, how we’d interact, and be involved in important decisions,” Romney said of the meeting as his campaign plane flew from Virginia to North Carolina late Saturday.

Romney and his team had been looking for someone who could play a partnership role in the White House.

Aides involved in the selection had read Robert Caro’s biography of Lyndon Johnson as a cautionary tale – as John F. Kennedy’s vice president, Johnson was often cut out of major policy decisions.

When they walked out of the dining room, Ryan had agreed to be on the ticket.

“By the time we met in person I kinda knew it was gonna happen,” Ryan said late Saturday. “And, ah, I was very humbled. It was the biggest honor I’ve ever been given in my life.”

While Ryan was still at Myers’ home, news broke of the shooting that killed 6 at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin.

Ryan issued a statement that day saying he was “deeply saddened” by the tragedy.

Romney advisers had hoped to announce Ryan’s selection Friday in New Hampshire, but the funeral for the temple shooting victims was scheduled for that morning.

Plans were scrapped. A new location was selected. The announcement would come Saturday morning at the USS Wisconsin, the battleship named for Ryan’s home state.

Ryan attended the service for the shooting victims Friday in Wisconsin, as did Tagg Romney, the eldest son of the GOP candidate. Ryan, a generation younger than Mitt Romney, is 42 – the same age as Tagg.

Then the ruse began.

Ryan’s family – his wife, Janna, and three children – left the funeral and were taken to the airport separately. Ryan, with a staffer, drove to his house. He walked in the front door and then out the back, crossing his backyard and walking through the woods that separate the house where he now lives from the home where he grew up.

“I know those woods like the back of my hand, so it wasn’t too hard to walk through `em,” Ryan said, adding that he passed by a tree fort he had built as a kid.

His chief of staff had driven around the block and picked him up in the other house’s driveway.

Ryan and his family flew from Wisconsin to Elizabeth City, N.C., where Myers’ son again picked him up and drove him, this time to a Fairfield Inn. Ryan made some last-minute preparations to his speech, and met with Myers, strategist Ed Gillespie and aide Dan Senor. The campaign announced in a press release that the announcement would come Saturday morning.

Beth Myers turned off her cell phone. The Ryan family went to sleep.

The next morning, Ryan was officially on the GOP ticket.

This makes me sick. The machine is still alive and well. I pray for the day when Americans realize that the bloated whore of D.C. is no longer necessary. I would vote for a candidate who has always evaded the IRS, believes in part time politics and returns 90% of the power back to the individual state. Until we are willing to make the hard sacrifices and say no to the “well at least he’s better than what we currently have” mentality of presidential politics we will continue to languor in our mediocrity which will result in the end of the American free-for-all.

Really, our choices our the Romney droid or the Obama crime family; I’d rather elect my cat’s butt.

    Really? Ugh.

Vote for a chance to elect your cat’s butt. There is a huge difference between Obama/Biden and Romney/Ryan. As far as a conservative candidate for president goes – We, as a party, missed big time. That being said, if you can‘t see Obama’s vision of a socialistic America by looking at what he has done already maybe you’re not paying attention. Stop moaning about the man that may provide us a chance to elect your cat’s butt.

Whoa, wait. I’ve been to a bunch of Tea Party rallies. Went to 8/28 and about 5 tax day protests. I don’t recall ever seeing people supporting TARP, Auto Bailouts, the Stimuls II, Patriot Act (yeah, took a while for people to come around on that one), or the extrajudicial killing of Americans. Did I not get all that literature? Maybe I missed a booth somewhere where that was handed out.

I would never have chosen Romney because HE IS A MODERATE REPUBLICAN. I like Paul Ryan MUCH BETTER THAN ROMNEY and I think THAT IS WHY ROMNEY CHOSE RYAN – Americans like Ryan more than Romney because WE ALWAYS SEE RYAN FIGHTING FOR US IN MANY WAYS and it sticks with us, but WE’D RATHER SEE RYAN AS PRESIDENT not as a follow behind guy, geez.

So, you are correct, except for the cat’s butt. I don’t want to have to look at that!

BUT, I DON’T WANT TO HAVE TO LOOK AT OBAMA EITHER! That, I think sickens me MORE than a cat’s butt, IF YOU GET MY DRIFT.

Face it. America will never be the same again, SINCE WE, THE PEOPLE, FELL ASLEEP BEHIND THE WHEEL and allowed the progressives to take over everything. SAD, but we must make the best of a bad situation and AMERICANS ARE KNOWN TO BE STRONG AND BOUNCE BACK!!!

WE WILL BOUNCE BACK AND WE WILL TAKE AMERICA BACK, so we MUST STICK TOGETHER, no matter what your race, nationality, color, religious affiliation, or political leanings.

Look! We’ll never return to the good ole days of yesteryear with regard to morals and decency! The genie is out of the bottle now and there is no turning it around except under the most adverse of conditions such as an entire collapse of the American monetary system, which may still yet happen esp if Dear Leader stays in power as I believe he will manage to do. I stopped last evening to take in what MSNBC, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer were saying about Ryan and none of it good but they could not really point to any specifics but could only use demonizing langauge about him. He’s Extreme over and over again! The MSM are gearing their negative press coverage once again which is only to prop up the Obama administration. Mr. Romney has to make the same choices to get our country back on the right track regardless of politics. Reminds me of the story of Ramone. He was hitch hiking to Madison WI but he was stuck in the middle of the Mojave desert. Being a man of strong principles, he decided he would no longer accept partial rides, leaving him in unsatisfactory places and short of his goal. Many people stopped to give Ramone a lift, but none could take him all the way to Madison. Some could take him to Utah, some could only take him to the next town, but alas, none could meet his high standard. I hear he is still out there…no closer to his goal; completely dried out; but his principles are intact.

Much like we handle our own personal health; we as individuals are raised in a society where preventative maintenance begins and ends with our automobiles. As a lover of history and the human condition it is evident that there is nothing we as humans are doing that hasn’t already been done before. We must accept that the division of cultural, geographical and philosophical beliefs can be a great advantage to how we manage our country. You can liken it to macroeconomics; those who live in a certain are know better than anyone else how to handle their business. He loved football and was a really talented end. When he turned out, he made the team but was assigned to the junior varsity. He believed that school politics kept him (the new kid) from making varsity so he quit. That was in 1963. From that day to this he has never played organized football again He stood on principle and lost the opportunity to perform in a sport he loved.

I am no Romney/Ryan fan. But, I will vote for them. As the USA continues its desinigration, I can’t stand on principle, I will accept that my guy didn’t make the varsity. I will go with the players on hand.

Ryan and Romney better talk about Obama’s record, because there is a lot of people who don’t listen to talk radio, watch Fox News or visit sites like Drudge or the Blaze. These people are key to the election because they have no idea what Obama’s up to and have never heard any criticism. Obama is the 1st president to be blamed for nothing. Remember when gas hit $3 and unemployment hit 4.7%? Bush was killing children. Bush actually caused Katrina and the housing meltdown (not Barney Frankfarter et al), according to the press. Every day the press went after Bush, and he deserved some of it…

This election is theirs to lose, but they have to stick to philosophy and issues. If they do they will win. If they go McCain/RINO, Obama gets to finish off the Land of the Free…

Romney made an EXCELLENT CHOICE with Ryan.
Couldn’t be any prouder or happier of his choice – but that’s what Romney is
KNOWN for – looking at a situation and figuring out the best way to handle it.

Here’s something that IS REALLY CONCERNING, and why.

You WOULD THINK Obama has at least “A” brain cell to know that it’s not
looking good for his re-election, right?
Then WHY is he continuing to openly lie about EASILY PROVABLE falsehoods?
Yeah, I know – IT’S WHO & WHAT HE IS…but at some point, one HAS to walk
the straight & narrow IF they’re trying to win. He’s NOT.

    George Soros LAUGHINGLY says-
“It’s not who votes that counts –
    IT’S WHO COUNTS THE VOTES”

Look I’m not a Romney supporter, but I’ll play along here. You‘re point is well taken but I’ll go a step further. Why doesn‘t Romney HAMMER Obummer’s record. All you have to do is show a picture of Obummer with the stimulus/unemployment chart and have the announcer say “either Obama is a liar or incompetent…either way we can’t afford four more years Mr. President, were is our 800Billion dollars and why is unemployment still high?” (I’m Mitt Romney and I approved this message.)

Bam, election is over. Done. Fin. Kaput.

Not one republican voted for that one (they did for stimulus2 though…Paul Ryan voted for it)

It really looks like Romney doesn’t want to win. And to your point on Obama it really feels like there is a power structure under the elections that isn’t “pure” if you will.

No, no, no. Maybe Soros does own some voting machines, BUT NOT ALL OF THEM! There is Diebold in Canton Ohio (NOT OWNED BY SOROS) and there are a few others. And, every voting machine goes thru rigorous testing before it is passed by an Independent (not govt) group. So, unless you have proof of what you say, it won’t fly with me. I do my homework.

I will say this for you though, the counties that do have SOROS’ VOTING MACHINES, should take a real close look at them BEFORE and DURING THE ELECTIONS….just to be on the safe side.

I know what people say about Diebold, but I used to work there and I KNOW THEY DO NOT RIG THEIR MACHINES. They had problems once, but it was never anything that would throw an election. I also KNOW the rigorous testing Diebold does (or did – they do not own that voting machine division anymore) on all their ATMs and software. DIEBOLD IS A VERY HONEST, FAMILY-ORIENTED COMPANY and I resent it when people, who never worked there, make bogus and false statements based on someone‘s else’s opinion. It almost sounds like you are working on the left. But, in case you are not, PLEASE DO MORE RESEARCH BEFORE YOU MAKE IT SOUND LIKE FACT. And, please give us links to prove what you say.

Rothbardian, so what if Ryan voted for the stimulus and the rest of the democrats failed policies, all he has to say is yeah we tried it their way and it didn’t work. Now we‘re going to do it our way and prove once and for all that government spending doesn’t bring about economic prosperity. He can end all of the speculation with one sentence, “Mr. President you admitted so yourself that the shovel ready jobs that you promised weren’t so shovel ready after all, and now we still have unemployment that is above 8% and we are 800+ billion further in debt with little to nothing to show for it. So anything and everything that they voted for they can now turn around and say that we gave them the oportunity to do it there way and it didn’t work. Their record speaks for themselves, and if we continue down this path of more and more government and more and more spending and borrowing to pay for it we will be setting future generations up for nothing less than indentured servitude to pay for it all. So as I see it, the fact that he did vote for the democrats failed policies is a huge win for us.

My reply would be something to the point of “so you do believe in spending money we don’t have by the government…or said differently…you believe that the government knows better how to spend my money than I do? If there were shovel ready jobs you’d vote to tax my grandkids to pay for a bridge today rather than allowing the private sector to do so?”

Regardless of how one thinks of Dr Ron Paul, the GOP can only win by reaching out to Dr Paul supporters. So the VP pick has no importance. For me its important that the GOP wins the White House and that can only be accomplished by embracing Dr. Paul and his supporters. Its a fact that cant be ignored. Also, Mitt Romney should take a page out of Jesse Venturas Political Career by being honest to the people. I personally dont care if Mitt Romney shows his Tax returns or not, but the majority of the people want to know. If there is a problem so be it, none of us is perfect and Jesse Ventura set an example by telling everybody everything he has ever done and people liked his honesty. Sorry, but I like Ron’s son, better than I do him. Ron has great ideas, but living away from the rest of the world is not my idea of living. The minute we would do that, the world would hate us worse than they already do! And, I support Israel, which Ron does not, but he does have a good point about NOT PROVIDING ANY MONIES TO ANY COUNTRY AT ALL. That’s rich, but that is not how America gets what it needs to sustain the things WE DO NOT HAVE HERE IN AMERICA (resources, etc.).

Ron is like 10 steps up from Reagan in being radical. Ron would just alienate us from the rest of the world and it would doom America.

Now, if Paul would consult with Romney’s camp, with ideas, solutions, and possible policies abroad, I WOULD LOVE THAT. Ron has some great ideas, so if he CONSULTS, and maybe if Romney chooses HIM to be Secretary of State, or even an Ambassador, I could go for that!

I agree, while many are focusing on the Presidential race, we must not forget the Senate race in our States. The only way Romney/Ryan will be successful is keeping the majority in the House and winning the majority in the Senate. Remember, Reid and Pelosi have enjoyed having a Dem Majority in the Senate, but reversing that will take the air right out of their sails making them less influential.

Yes, it feels good, like fresh air after a cleansing rain.

I do like Romney & Ryan, as an “American Duo” fighting to take our country back !

They play off well with each other & you can feel their warmth & mutual respect,
plus “Charisma & Character” always counts for much in the public eye
along with intelligence, savvy & love for country,
undeniably, makes this team the top contender to restore America.

Put their smiling, determined, “Let’s get down to business, America” faces
      up against Oblameo & Biden
& Romney & Ryan hands down.

Sweet affable but tenacious Ryan is the guy every parent wants to see their
daughter bring home, a keeper !

Just imagine, the dignity, Mrs. Romney will restore to the Oval Office-
out with Commie cold & tacky & in with American charm & class.

      Oh & BTW-
      He might not realize it,
but Ryan just wrote the most perfect campaign ad copy
      by this quote from above:
“I know those woods like the back of my hand, so it wasn’t too hard to walk through `em,” Ryan said, adding that he passed by a tree fort he had built as a kid.

He needs to go back to THAT very spot with camera crew
& say, “YES, I DID build this…never realizing that one day, this tree fort would
LEAD me to the most important Tree Fort in America…THE White House” !

      THAT’S a WRAP-
just as Oblameo’s arrogant “YOU didn’t build that” statement
was a wrap on his career in D.C.

      @Roth,
We are slaves to what was once a cherished freedom and is now a slavery to pick two candidates to lead our country with no evidence of any opposition to another because they are one and the same. Barry takes the blame while the white horse rides in and looks down and spits on what’s left. And we cheer it on because the denial we mask as hope will turn to submission. Because after all, what can we do? We can vote, but we’re all voting for our destruction either way. When/if Romney gets elected I bet you the Internet that he will NOT repeal Obamacare. All of it. We don’t need more government, we need less. Famine is coming soon.

I think I’ve been fairly consistent in my criticism of Romney, Ryan, and all y‘all RINO’s. To me it goes back to records.

Obama: He was a academic, community organizing , anti-colonial, socialist, liberal, big government elitist. At least this is what his private life and Senate record told us. As POTUS has he not lived up to this?

Romney and Ryan, by the numbers, are RINO’s. They(I’ll spare us the Romney vs. Ryan) supported higher taxes on small business, gun control, government run healthcare, balancing the budget (good), but balancing it over a generation of time (really bad), they support the Patriot Act and groping of citizens by TSA agents, they support the extrajudicial murder of American citizens via NDAA, they supported auto bailouts, they supported Obama stimuls, and they supported TARP.

So my question is two-fold. First, if we use Obama’s resume as a predictor of behavior were we right? We were…so why would we expect R&R to behave differently? Secondly, if we expect them to carry forward with their support of those issues, do you feel that those issues are consistent with being a conservative?

      Simple questions are they not?

Is it not obvious that Romney is the best person we have to offer? Couldn’t it be that he could solve the recovery in a better manner than Obama. Please stop trying to “enlighten us” with your attempted persona of otherworldly intelligence but really it is just that you sling a few words people can’t quite understand just so that you have a perceived higher intelligence. @Romney saves,

Tell you what. You explain to me how Romney is going to do that based on the track record of him and or Ryan and I’ll listen.

And no, I can’t just be content with the coices. You throw two progressives on the ticket and stick an R in front of their names and expect me to skip for joy? Not everyone is as quick as Paul Ryan to throw out their principles. They are who they are, why do you all not see that?

But, that being said, I’ll listen. They need to explain to America what their plan is and how it is different than Obummer and how that gives America a chance to succeed. Don’t look at their plan as “is it better than Obama’s” because that’s not really the question is it? If you were running a business and you had two VP’s come to you with two bad business plans do you just pick the less crappy one or do you give them an earful and tell them to go back to their desks and try again?

I’m supposed to just shut up now? It’s ok to bash on Obummer all day but not Romney right? So when Obummer spends my grandkids into oblivion it‘s awful but when Romney does it we’ll sanction it? When the TSA gropes my wife now it’s totalitarianism because Obummer is in charge, but when Romney’s TSA does it, it will be in a kinder, gentler, more Republican way?

I won‘t go away because as long as RINO’s like you pass these candidates along I won’t be free. I could go over to HUFFPO and do this too but they are truly lost. There isn’t anything salvagable from that pile of human debris. I used to think that “conservatives” used logic and reason and principles to to make decisions. Can president Romney slow the growth of government? Highly doubtful given the life expectancy of government programs, they never die they simply get bigger and more costly.

The answer is to strictly adhere to the constitution but to do that would mean gutting all government and reducing it’s power, how many ‘lifetime politicians’ do you think will be eager to vote for that?

parties are part of the natural ordering of things. To gain support, coalitions are built from various groups who have some common goal they wish to accomplish.

Getting rid of our two (or one if you will) parties, will only spur the birth of new parties which will inevitably reach the same point. Do not blame the parties. Blame the people who blindly support then, and who continue to elect progressives into their ranks.

That being said, the choice is between a Marxist and a moderate to light Progressive (with a kick ass running mate). It would be nice if it was a choice between a Marxist and a non-Progressive Capitalist, or no Marxist at all, but that is not what is available to us this election.

Progressives have taken over 100 years to dismantle our country, the Paulbots fail to realize that it will take at least that to put it back together.

I am neither Republican, nor Democrat, nor Libertarian for that matter. I am also unafraid to say here and now that Romney will be receiving my vote. I am a believer in the rule of law and the US Constitution. Without those adherences, we have that dreaded anarchy you speak of. Yes, our country suffers great ills from the lack of conscience and utter disregard for the law. This trouble is varying and visible at all levels from its citizenship to its leaders, and from its service members to its military commanders. The Democrats and the Republicans have both been selling us down the river for generations and generations. We didn’t get to this political/economic precipice with only one party in power. In defense of Ron Paul, and in dismantling of your claims, Ron Paul has never advocated for anarchy, and you know it. I offer you a chance to redeem yourself and provide one, in context, quote in which Ron Paul advocates for anarchy or the ideology there of. I believe that the change that Obama brought was exactly the opposite of what he intended – a return to traditional American values and ideals and a relearning of the lesson that big government is the problem and not the answer. Obama shoved big government in our faces and smothered us with it to such an extent that our eyes were forced open. Obama will lose by a large margin if not by a landslide. God bless America and the ideals she represents.

Ryan is a great choice, you can tell by the attacks from the left. Its the same old leftist tactic, demonize anyone with a different opinion. This is the most important election of my lifetime.
    Romney Ryan 2012!

AMERICAN: That is because the Left has no real “ ideas” to debate. Their heated- up Far Left “ redistribution” ideas never have worked. Never will work. The Soviet Union fell because of these out-dated Marxist concepts but our young Lefties don’t know enough history to connect the dots.

Apparently, INDI’s targeted assignment from the Democrat Character Assassination Squad is Ryan. INDI’s been running this same spiel since Ryan was chosen. Down, boy. We “got” the message. Good job. Take a break….

So Barber. If you got the message, what say you? Do you support TARP and bailouts? Does a man throwing his principles out the window not bother you?

So when you say you get it I can only think of 3 responses:

      1. It‘s all lies and it didn’t really happen. (For your sake, I hope this isn’t you.)
      2. It happened and I believe those things are good. (which sorta makes the obama criticism odd)
      3. They happened, I don’t like those things, but I‘m going to blot it out of my mind and pretend that they didn’t so that I can feel good about things and it’s better to have MY bad guy in there than THEIR bad guy in there.

Help me understand how you get it.

Right away the Romney-Ryan ticket has proven they’re more capable of keeping secrets than the omama-biden administration, who will release top-secret information in order to advance their own political careers.

Look, I‘m no Romney guy and I’m not Obama guy for sure. (Yes to all of you RINO’s, I’d rather have Romney than Obama, but I’d still want to vomit a little every time I say that).

      BUT…

Truth is truth and facts are facts and people‘s records are people’s records. Obama should be in jail. Period. Plain and simple. The leaks coming out of the White House regarding top secret information have been massive and criminal. What they did to the Israelis and the British with the Russians to gain favor is disgraceful. In fact, it was so bad that I’d say that each would have had grounds to attack us if they saw fit. I was embarrassed to be an American when they pulled that stunt. That he isn’t in jail and is running for a second term speaks volumes about the judicial system, the media, and the average voter in the US.

If the LEFTIST GOP CHEAT-nominates LEFTIST Romney over CONSTITUTIONALIST Ron Paul … they will have just ELIMINATED GOP support from blacks, youth, constitutionalists, Libertarians, Tea Partiers, anti-war, anti-croni-capitalist, UNCOMPROMISING conservatives and even DEFECTING 08 Obama supporters…
.. thus GUARANTEEING OBAMA’S REELECTION! Using the SAME SCAM they used to ELECT HIM in 08.
