Arab & Muslim Conference to ‘Defend’ Jerusalem Against Israel Opens in Qatar

Arab and Muslim Conference to Defend Jerusalem Against Israel Opens in Qatar

There have been marches, sermons, protest stunts and even vandalism aimed at undercutting Judaism’s links to Jerusalem and Israel’s sovereignty over the city. This weekend, a conference opens in Qatar to “defend” Jerusalem’s Arab status.

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, opened the “International Conference for the Defense of Occupied Jerusalem” Sunday where an estimated 350 religious and political leaders from 60 countries are attending. Speakers include Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, Arab League Secretary General Nabil Elaraby, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, and United Nations Mideast Peace Process Coordinator Robert Serry.

The Associated Press reports the Qatari ruler said in his opening remarks that the Arab identity in Jerusalem is threatened by Israeli expansion around the city. He also urged a U.N.-backed investigation into Israeli settlements and Israeli actions in Arab neighborhoods of east Jerusalem which Israel captured from Jordan in the 1967 Six Day War. Both Israelis and Palestinians claim Jerusalem as their capital.

Arab and Muslim Conference to Defend Jerusalem Against Israel Opens in Qatar

Israel Arab Member of Knesset Ahmad Tibi is traveling to the conference

Israeli Arab members of Knesset are also participating in the conference condemning Israel’s sovereignty in Jerusalem, the same city in which they serve and from whose government they collect their salaries. That they can travel to a conference hostile to the country where they are lawmakers and exercise their free speech provides counterpoint to the argument that Israel is an “apartheid” state as many pro-Palestinian activists claim. This comes as “Israel Apartheid Week” begins on U.S. campuses Monday.

The independent Palestinian news agency Ma’an reports the Jerusalem conference participants will:

…tackle Israel’s plans to “forge” the history of the holy city in addition to what they termed as ongoing violations of human rights committed against the Palestinian population, historic sites, cemeteries and Islamic heritage.

Speakers are expected to focus on the needed procedures to protect Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque in light of the ongoing assaults by Israeli rightists and “Judaisation” efforts by the Israeli government.

Sessions at the two-day conference include “Jerusalem and International Law,” “History of Jerusalem,” “Jerusalem and Settlements” and “Israeli Violations.”

The Qatar Tribune reports the international law session aims at “proving the illegality of the Israeli practices and violations in Jerusalem.”

“History of Jerusalem” will examine “how despite archaeological counterfeiting meant to prove the Israeli claim of historic right of Jews in Jerusalem remains weak.”

Qatar Tribune reports:

‘Jerusalem and Settlements’ deals with procedures for the systematic intensification of settlement and land confiscation in East Jerusalem , as well as the changes in their demography from 1967 to 2020, by which Israel aims to the establish Greater Jerusalem by expulsion and the displacement of the Arab population from East Jerusalem. It will also deliberate on the ways to rescue Jerusalem, the Arab vision against the Israeli plan – for the future of Jerusalem in 2020, which will depend on the development plans for various sectors to strengthen the steadfastness of Jerusalemites, and to emphasise the central role of Jerusalem in the Palestinian socio-political life.

Israeli Arab Member of Knesset Ahmad Tibi (United Arab List-Ta’al) who is traveling to the conference said, “The Arab world is committed to support the residents of al-Quds [Jerusalem] and galvanize the international community against the growing (Jewish) settlement of east Jerusalem, which is aimed at Judaizing the city that was conquered in 1967.”

According to Ynet, Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina said the Palestinian leader will deliver an “important speech on the dangers Jerusalem is exposed to and the importance of Arab and Islamic support for the preservation of the holy city’s Arab character.”

It was actually Sarai’s idea..This is just man trying to fulfill the promises of God..Isaac was what God had in mind..Now the true seed of Abraham must suffer from their mistake…Gen 16:2 2. And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the Lord hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

I was going to say something ugly. But it’s not right. Look, Arabs and Jews have lived in the same land since forever. They have shared ancestry. They need to recognize this is really a family squabble. Welcome to the Thanksgiving Celebration of the World. We don’t always like our families, but we always love them. So let‘s go to the big person’s table and talk it out. Arab/Jewish presence? Really? The only presence they need to be worrying about it God’s. If they cannot make The Holy Land, Holy, they’re answering to Pops, and he’s the only one they have to answer too.

The only problem is we are talking about different Gods. The God of the Christians and Jews is seen as the God of Love and Tolerance. Allah the God of the Muslims is seen as the God of War, when they close their eyes they see a God dressed in Armor sword in hand daggers in its belt, bodies of it’s enemies strewn about like grass on a field..

I never worry about Isreal having their homeland taken away again, but there sure can be plenty of blooshed and terror coming up. I sometimes wonder just how much time is left before it all goes to hell, and the whole world is in a hot war.

Most of the attacks by Muslims against non-Muslims would not be happening if the US didn’t waffle so much.
We need to be clear, and unequivocal, in our support of Israel.
We need to be equally clear that Islamic violence will no longer be tolerated.
We also need to stop apologizing to the Islamic community.
    If they feel offended, tough.
Instead of apologizing, how about, simply saying the truth.
If this or that book got burned (because prisoners wrote secret notes in them, to one another, or to exchange with outside groups), so what?
Is it really ok to allow violence in the streets? What just because their religion says too?
Right of religion does not supersede rights to freedom, and life.
These guys are committing mass murder and were the ones apologizing? What gives?
We may not be at war with Islam; but, a large chunk of it, certainly seems to be at war with us.
We have the power, not them; and, it’s high time we acted more like alpha dogs, than helpless runts.

Here is part of what he says .. about Obama and America …

“The world is reaching a cross-roads, a dangerous turning point regarding the threat of Islamofascism. According to the Qur’an, Islam has always had world domination as it’s ultimate goal, but now it’s sights are firmly fixed on America. Muslim groups and organizations have infiltrated our culture, seeking to establish Sharia (Islamic Law) across our great nation. With the election of Barack Hussein Obama as President, our political leadership has installed Muslims in powerful and key positions across the federal government. In this thought-provoking seminar, Usama draws upon current events in the news to demonstrate how quickly we are moving towards “one nation under Islam.” His message is clear: America, now is the time to choose, to choose Freedom, or to unknowingly choose to Surrender to Islam. “

This group sounds like “mainstream Islam”, so it doesn’t just seem to be radical Islam we are talking about any longer. And their hatred towards Israel exceeds their concern for the Palestinians. Israel welcomed the Muslims who stayed with them during the six day war. Where are the Palestinians welcomed among the nations that encouraged them to abandon Israel at that time? Look at a map in the Middle East and can someone tell my why open arms among their Arab brothers hasn’t ended the refugee situation? They are refugees because they listened to those who made war with Israel, and now, their “friends” (other Arab nations) are using them to regain the “honor” they believe they lost in that war.

      http://www.fsmitha.com/h2/ch32isl2.htm
“Defeat in the War of 1967 left many Muslims across the Middle East humiliated. Arab nationalism and socialism had been popular in Muslim societies, represented by Nasser in Egypt and secular regimes in Sudan Libya, Syria and Iraq — a view that included criticism of Saudi Arabia and other gulf state monarchies as feudal. Defeat of Muslim armies in the Six-Day War of 1967 rocked the Middle East. The popularity of secular socialist regimes faded, and more hope focused on Islam.”

Time to get over it, Islam, and reach out to your brothers and sisters the Palestinians, with welcoming arms. Would Palestinians be treated any better than in your nations than those in Israel are?

Exactly how much of the Old City as it stands today was even built by Arabs? Even the walls were built by the Byzantines. All they built upon first taking the city was the mosque, the dome, and a large building overlooking the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. The tunnels under the Temple Mount reveal the original walls of the first temple are still there.

Oh yes, the war for Jerusalem…..the saga of the ages continues. If anyone is surprised, they need to wake up and research. It’s really getting intense. Heard that the Muslims have organizations at the colleges (you know – where the liberals indoctrinate our kids also) — that have their pro-Palestinian/Muslim PR, converting students to Islam, getting sympathy for Palestine, etc. I didn’t know that until I read a book by an ex-Muslim terrorist who had converted to Christianity and trying to warn us very gullible, apathetic Americans. So it’s not only the indoctrination by the liberals re their dangerous ideology. Oh yes – then we have Obama’s anti-Israel stance and our great, wise treasonous Hillary telling Muslims to don‘t pay attention to the GOP’s pro-Israel talk – not the U.S. policy……… Isn’t that wonderful?

They support each other as long as the anger is directed against Israel and America.

MOM – yes, of course they probably are. If they are truly “Muslim” they hate all of us non-Muslims, no matter if we did nothing. One of the main things that most of ignorant Americans aren’t aware of is how ALL Muslims, even the “moderates” that everyone has been duped into thinking are nothing but peaceful forever and grateful to be in America (NOT)…..are taught they must all unite when jihad is finally called. They are just waiting for the right time — they’re expecting their “Mahdi” to come soon (I think this year even). They want to appear peaceful until that time. So until then, they lie, which they are taught is the noble thing to do b/c it promotes their glorious cause for Allah.
The ones who don’t agree to the radical stuff, are stuck b/c they are fearful of being killed – they rule by fear.
Even if some do attacks here, they will be quickly dismissed as just the few “radical” ones – no worries. I really don’t know what the answer is about how to get rid of all the Muslims who are entrenched everywhere in the nation. And the authorities don’t want riots against them, etc. — so what to do? For one big one we all can do for sure —– PRAY !!!!

The Muslims are the Occupiers in Jerusalem. Got this from another site and have added a couple comments in () :

“Jerusalem is the cradle of Jewish heritage and Jewish civilization. Ever since King David made Jerusalem the capital of Israel 3,000 years ago, the city has been at the center of Jewish existence. The last remaining wall of the Jewish Temple is the Western wall is in the old city of Jerusalem. The Western Wall and the city of Jerusalem itself is the most holy places of Judaism. Jerusalem is the focus of Jewish prayer. Three times a day Jews across the world face Jerusalem. For thousands of years Jews have prayed “To Jerusalem, thy city, shall we return with joy”. For thousands of years Jews have concluded festivities with the words “next year… in Jerusalem.” The Jewish connection to the Temple Mount dates back for more than 3,000 years. It is the site where Abraham tied his son to an alter as a sacrifice to G-d. It is the site of two Jewish temples that were the center of Jewish religious life, learning, and social life until the destruction of the Second Temple by the Romans (the Romans like Pontius Pilatus were the guys who authorized the crucifixion of Jesus – that is how long ago all this happened). The Mosques on the Temple Mount were built over 7 hundred years LATER AFTER (my emphasis) the Muslim occupation of the land. The fact that Jerusalem is disputed, or that it is claimed by others does not mean that the city belongs to them.

Isaiah 34:1-4 Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it.
      2. For the indignation of the Lord is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter.
      3. Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.
      4. And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.

Isn’t it ironic that Israel builds and lives side-by-side with their Arab neighbors and get called apartheid while the Arab states want Arabs to be completely separate from Jews. Who is promoting apartheid? Obviously it is the Arabs.

Tear down the Dome of the Rock, melt the gold and put it in the treasury and rebuild the Temple.
While Israel is doing that, they can tell the Muslims if they don’t like it, that they can do the same to Mecca…
