Are Communists Hijacking the Anniversary of Dr. King’s Assassination?

Monday, April 4th is the 43rd anniversary of an atrocious event that stained our past, the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Memphis.

April 4th is not too far off, so how will you mark the day? Possibly with quiet contemplation about how far we have come as a nation? Comparing America in 1968 to America in 2011, some might say we have made considerable progress on the subject of race relations, while others argue that there is still work to be done. And there are others, namely the Communist Party USA, who want to hijack the day and use it for their own agendas.

For the uneducated, Communism is defined as:

From Princeton University: a form of socialism that abolishes private ownership

From Wikipedia: Communism is a social structure in which, theoretically, classes are abolished and property is commonly controlled

Now that we know communism’s foundation includes the removal of private ownership, meaning that the government (that efficient and trustworthy group in Washington DC) will decide how much you earn, how you live, where you live and just about everything else in your life, we should familiarize ourselves with the Communist leaders in America.

Meet the Communist Party USA, and their Vice-Chairman, Scott Marshall.

Are Communists Hijacking the Anniversary of Dr. Kings Assassination?

The MacIver Institute shared Comrade Marshall’s plans:

“Every comrade has a part to play.”

So, Marshall wants April 4th to be A National Day of Action, and his organization will be a vital party to ‘Massive Demonstrations.’   And he is not alone, the network of community organizers across the country is in place and working overtime. Under the umbrella of WE ARE ONE (an alleged non-profit organization with very little information available as to where they are and who is funding them) people around the country are being encouraged to take part in various events.  A quick check of plans in the New York City area reveals no less than 17 scheduled actions. Around the country, there are dozens of ‘afl-cio we are ones across the country.’

The Communist Party USA feels empowered by the latest round of protests popping up all over the country.  They also see an opportunity to change America into a communist country.

The CPUSA folks are hoping to join other Leftist organizations with plans for demonstrations on 4-4-2011, and as stated by their Vice-Chairman, the idea is to embed communist party members deep inside groups like MoveOn, SEIU, AFSCME & the American Federation of Teachers.

One wonders if all of these union workers are aware that the people standing shoulder to shoulder with them in these protests are folks whose greatest dream is to have all property rights abolished.

MLK Jr. made an annual sermon to his baptist congregation concerning love. During this sermon in 1961 he stated, “we need to be producing as much as we can as a nation”. He stated that communism and Christianity have nothing in common with each other, “Communism and Christianity are total opposites of each other”. “Christianity acts on faith and charity (love), communism on hate and control”. He stated we in America, a Christian Nation, have nothing in common with communism. Therefore, MLK Jr. and the communist have nothing in common. They need to pick a different leader and not MKL Jr. We need to defend MLK Jr. legacy from these nut jobs.

King *was* a communist and NOT a Christian. He denied the divinity of Christ, the virgin birth and the resurrection. He USED the church to supplant incremental communist idealogy. The proof can be seen in actual photographs.

BonnieBlue: Well anyone can develop a website using photos saying a person is with other communist here and in a meeting with communist here. Also, the photos can easily be photo shopped, very easy with old faded black and white. Anyone can make up quotes and attribute them to anyone they want. I know what I heard on an audio CD with MLK preaching to his congregation. He was very much against communism. Sure, during the civil rights marches and movements there were all kinds of people attaching them selves to the movement and showing up to protest. It is a known fact that the Black Panthers where there and communist where there. That would be no different than a KKK member showing up at a Tea Party rally. Or a democrats showing up at a Tea Party event with a sign saying racist comments. This does not make the leaders of the Tea Party either, but is evidence that either some are trying to high jack a movement for their own purposes or someone trying to mar the movement because they do not want it to succeed. So, if I was you I would to try and put MLK in the correct light. As far as his family, some may have bought into communism, but I know others have not. If you can point me to a sermon in his voice where he denied the foundations of the faith then I may give your comments some thought.

The Martin Luther King who was murdered in Memphis in 1968 was not the Martin Luther King who spoke at the Lincoln Memorial in 1963. Though he did not waver in his commitment to non-violence, he had always had Communist and other left-wing confidantes who were not so scrupulous. Especially after Selma he himself moved left, toward pointed criticism of the anti-Communist war in Vietnam, advocacy of redistribution of wealth, and support for organized labor, including public-sector unions. On April 4, 1968, he was in Memphis supporting a sanitation workers’ strike. Freedom of speech aside, the Communists aren’t hijacking King, they’re recognizing his affinities with their own ideology, or, to be blunter about it, honoring the “useful idiot” phase of his career.

It’s funny how just fifty years ago it was considered a bad thing to be a communist. Today, saying to your friends that your a communist is greeted with applause and exaltation. It seems that the kids of today just don’t understand what is wrong with communism, even though a simple little history lesson will show that communism is a failed system that has led to the death of millions. Unless of course that appeals to communists, cause if that’s the case, these people are sicker than I thought.

But if the African American community would look at where the majority of their population is both financially and socially and realize that their plight is due to Liberal, Progressive and Communist policies instituted by the Democrats for the past 50 years, They would totally reject any attempt to hi-jack Dr. Kings holiday for the purpose of the destruction of America.

Many blacks DO realize what is happening. Their voices are admittedly too few, but are growing. I have a few blacks living in my township that are fine people, and almost all whites think of them no differently than they do of anyone else.

Yes, many young blacks have been hi-jacked by militant blacks, racist Islam, and of course the race-pimps such as Jackson, Sharpton, Farrakan, Maxine Waters and the Congresional Black Caucus. They will, at some point, have to decide who they stand with. When it starts to get ugly, they may have to go into hiding to save themselves.

For sure there are anti-American forces embedded deeply in our country. The Socialist/Communist Left has allowed those groups grow for the last 60+ years.

Some of those enablers are naive. For instance, I have a cousin and (mainly) her husband who got upset because I sent (forwarded, mostly) jokes about Obama via the internet to them. One day, the husband (who I don’t really know), sent me an e-mail that he did not appreciate the anti-Obama posts from me. He asked that I stop sending derogatory posts about “our” President. Of course, they are both retired school teachers, so you’d expect them to be Dems.

I resopnded with a long e-mail to him. I said that to think I was involved in some kind of ‘group think’ would be a mistake. I said that anyone who was the least bit objective, and had researched ‘his’ President, and loved ‘my’ country, could reach no other conclusion but that Obama was poison. I went on to say that as bad as Obama was, that there were other, bigger, forces at work behind the scenes.
All these other, bigger, forces needed was a committed leftist in the WH, and a willing leftist Congress, to implement far-left socialist programs to further degrade our economic system.

So…..what have we seen since the day I sent that post to him? You can answer that yourself.

I no longer worry about trying to convince those too stupid to realize how great our country was and can still be. What I do worry about is what we will have to do to restore it.

I agree with Glenn Beck’s analysis of the forces working against the USA. No clear-thinking person who loves this country could reach any other conclusion.

In fact, it seems the left is resurrecting the term “Mccarthyism” to label tea party, Glenn Beck, and anyone else who trys to point out these glaringly obvious connections. Then the sound bite populus buys the rhetoric hook, line, and sinker. Only when they are on the flaying table will they realize how stupid and blind they have been.

This involves re-distribution of resources from the wealthy to the poor. He makes no distiction of achievement and individual responsibility. Wealth is for everyone regardless of ownership. However, it also seems that him and his advisors are exempt from the redistibution plan.

lecar, the Communist Party USA openly supports Obama, but it’s not OK to call him a Communist?

Taking from someone and giving to someone else helps no one. It makes the “taken from” not want to produce, and allows the “given to” to not have to learn to produce for themselves. It’s a recipe for disaster and has been every time it has been tried in the past.

Teach them to fish for themselves and they will be far better off in the long-term. Short-term think like yours is not the answer. The best way to help someone out of poverty is to not make them comfortable in their poverty. Many self-made successful people came from poverty with a drive to better themselves. “Giving” only takes away that drive.

I am in a public sector union where you take an oath to defend the Constitution. The rank and file I work with are some of the most misinformed people on the planet. I have explained to them that our state will soon be 8 billion dollars in the red and the U.S. will soon be 15 trillion in the red. I have explained to them that the fed is monitizing(?) our national debt and that this will drive our currency down and destroy it.They have been promised by the F.O.P.,the city, the state and the pension board that you can retire at 48 years of age on 60% of your pay for the rest of your life and it is sustainable. I will admit I was also foolish to believe this for many years and bought into the big lies. My eyes are wide open now! The rank and file union members are like most of the population of the U.S. They have their head in the sand and will continue to keep it there until it all comes crashing down around them. It is not of evil but of ignorance where most of these people come from.
“Ignorance is a condition cureable with knowledge. Stupidity is a fatal condition.”
I feel that we have passed the realm of ignorance and have now moved into just plain stupid.

      WRONG, “French Vehicle!”

Obama is a member of the New Party, which is a Communist party. He joined it before he became a senator from Illinois. The New Party endorsed him.

      @ blacksmith
I agree with everything you’ve said. I know many union-brainwashed teachers with master and doctorate degrees who have wasted their education. All those years in a classroom and they cannot get beyond their greed to see how wrong and dangerous the unions are. That’s why I said they are ignorant. The unions have made them comfortable and complacent, so of course they don’t want their bubble burst. Too bad for them, because starting with Wisconsin, their selfish little world is about to change.

      @ SHOWTIME

The handle LECAR was a compromise as the name I wanted was not available. Only after signing up did I realize that Lecar is a crappy french vehicle. Oh well. At least the Lecar made the late 70‘s and 80’s american cars seem great in comparison.

The Communist can celebrate his death….I will Celebrate his LIFE and what he did for this Nation
      _____________________
You mean the fact that MLK reconized that workers rights are also a civil right, the fact that he supported public unions. The bothersome facts that Beck overlooks. Below are some of his quotes you won’t find on the Blaze.

In our glorious fight for civil rights, we must guard against being fooled by false slogans, as ‘right-to-work.‘ It provides no ’rights‘ and no ’works.’ Its purpose is to destroy labor unions and the freedom of collective bargaining… We demand this fraud be stopped. —Speaking on right-to-work laws in 1961

The labor movement was the principal force that transformed misery and despair into hope and progress. Out of its bold struggles, economic and social reform gave birth to unemployment insurance, old-age pensions, government relief for the destitute and, above all, new wage levels that meant not mere survival but a tolerable life. The captains of industry did not lead this transformation; they resisted it until they were overcome. When in the thirties the wave of union organization crested over the nation, it carried to secure shores not only itself but the whole society. Martin Luther King Jr.
—Speech to the state convention of the Illinois AFL-CIO, Oct. 7, 1965

Negroes are almost entirely a working people…. Our needs are identical with labor’s needs: decent wages, fair working conditions, livable housing, old-age security, health and welfare measures, conditions in which families can grow, have education for their children and respect in the community. That is why Negroes support labor’s demands and fight laws which curb labor. That is why the labor-hater and labor-baiter is virtually always a twin-headed creature, spewing anti-***** epithets from one mouth and anti-labor propaganda from the other mouth. MLK JR
—Speaking to the AFL-CIO on Dec. 11, 1961

Fact if he was alive today Beck would have MLK on his blackboard next to Trumka and the other boogey men Beck wants you to be afraid of.

The Unions claim that, “the American Dream is Dead!” The irony is that they are aligning with communist organizations to recapture the American dream. If they are successful in establishing a communist/socialist government the union members will be surprized to learn that they will no longer have the right to own property, or to possess gold and other precious metals, their guns will be confiscated, (even hunting weapons), they will lose their freedom to move to another city or state without government approval, they will be issued ration books or cards because everything they need to live will be in short supply and rationed for “fairness!” They will be able to purchase an auto after acquiring the proper permit from the government and being on a waiting list for several years. They will work where they are told to and their wages will be determined by a government panel.

Of course, these rules will not apply to the elite class who run the country. They will have access to “hard currency” or gold and will be able to avoid all of the rules that apply to the rest of us. This is the communist version of “equality” that will be rammed down our throats. Anyone not believing what I am saying here can go to the history section of the local library and study up on the Soviet Union, the GDR, (Soviet ruled Germany), Cuba under Castro, Poland under the Soviets, etc. Make sure it is what you want before you jump in over your heads!

“The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.”
      Winston Churchill
