Are Cyber Jihadists Fanning the Flames of the U.K. Riots?

As England tries to recover from riots last week and police prepare for possible new outbreaks, there have been some early indications that radical Islamists are not only happy with the chaos in Britain, they are encouraging it.Are Jihadists Fanning the Flames of the U.K. Riots?

SITE intelligence has captured a few posts from Islamic-extremists’ websites in mid-August that show the cyber jihad community has high hopes that the U.K. riots will continue.

The posters recognize the resulting breakdown in Western legal and social norms from continued riots would benefit the radical Islamist cause, and they hope to use the internet as a means to this outcome.

Postings to the Al-Qaeda-affiliated Shumkh al-Islam forum have suggested, according to SITE, that the London riots are:

“Useful for the mujahideen, as it is possible, for example, that British soldiers may be withdrawn from Afghanistan to quell the disturbances.”

While you could discount this comment as straightforward analysis (putting aside the jihadist affiliation of the forum), it is harder to brush aside other comments that:

“English-speaking jihadists [should] incite Britons to continue to riot, and… post messages on social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter. Other forum members praised the idea and gave thoughts for slogans to rile the rioters, such as: ‘We are all Mark Duggan,‘ ’No to spending money on colonial military missions,” and ‘Yes for equality between the segments of British society.’”

Similar discussion was held on the Ansar Mujahideen forum. SITE reports that members of that online community want to become actively involved in the U.K. unrest through the web, writing:

“Just as they supported the Arab revolutions through Facebook, Twitter, and elsewhere, we want to export these revolutions to them. Enter their pages on Facebook and Twitter, and their forums, and spread photos of their revolution and incite them to continue. Make video clips of their protests and heroic acts. Those who are demonstrating there are mostly young people, and it is easy to make use of their enthusiasm. Distribute photos of the Arab revolutions, but write them in English as if it is their revolution. We want the European Spring and not Arab only.”

So at least some members of an Al-Qaeda-affiliated forum, one that has openly called for terrorist violence in the past, see an opening in the current environment to encourage pandemonium in Britain through the internet.

The question then becomes: Why would jihadists want to encourage, assist, and promote riots that come from the nanny-state demanding European left, as opposed to an Islamic, anti-western world view?

The answer is that jihadists take the long view, and will work with anyone to undermine the U.S. and its allies. Remember, Shia Iran has allied with Sunni terrorists groups. Anarchists fought alongside Communists against Fascists in the Spanish Civil War. Allegiances of convenience are not a historical anomaly.

But more to the point, the Islamists know that western civilization is the primary impediment to their plans for a global caliphate. Jihadists feel it is better to bring down the load bearing walls of western civilization, arm-in-arm with international socialists and other radicals, and figure out who will rule once the dust settles.

A point of history to remember: Al Qaeda emerged from the victory of the mujahadeen over Communist Russia. In their view, the jihadists beat the communists once, so they think the next time around the less ferocious socialists would be an easy adversary.

In their minds, only the U.S., Britain, and a handful of others that truly stand in their way, which makes any subversive, radical leftist movement in those countries a useful short-term ally.

      Yes I agree the UK has allowed uncontrolled immigration of a certain section, unlike when Americans, French, German, Italian come here to UK they fit in, work our way.

      However our leaders from the past 60 years have encouraged a bad group to come here. They will reap what they have sown, Im sad ot say.

      There are many News progs on TV in Uk just now looking to explain & blame someone for the riots, they dont see that it is our Politicians who have allowed this to grow to this sad state over last 5 decades.

      I am suprised that they have waited to start here ,I guess Obama has not got all of his army that he promised would be as well trained and as well equiped and armed as well as our army over seas. You see this army is one of younger Muslim converts that have not taken the oath as we did not to attack or bring arms to bear on the citizens, the only one they have given theeir allegince to Hussein and his czars.       The Brits are too busy banning people like you who speak the truth. Michael Savage is STILL “persona non grata” in Great Britain, and his legal representatives there who are trying to get his travel ban lifted have been told that it isn’t going to happen, because his ban is a sop to counterbalance the Jihadis that are also banned, but considering the ones that Stackelbeck interviewed for in book “The Terrorist Next Door” IN ENGLAND, I can’t even GUESS who they have banned on the Jihadi side!

    Allah is not God. Islam is based around the worship of the allah deity which was one of many deities worshiped at the Kabbah in pre-Islamic Arabia. Allah has nothing to do with God. Muslims do not worship God. Muslims worship the allah.

    Islam must be severed from false chains that have bound it to the God of the Bible. Islam and Allah have nothing to do with God and the Bible. Once that false linkage, that prime deception, is broken, then, well then the entire Islamic deception crumbles.

    The Jihad proceeds at all levels at all times in all places. It is proceeding in Britain right now just as it proceeded to consume Lebanon before our very eyes.

Trust me, living in the Middle East, North Korea, and so on is NOT better than what you have in the UK.       They are very cleverly waiting for the right moment to create the same unrest and uncivilized actions here in the U.S. It will not only be the muslim youth, but also the mainly black flash mobs that we are already seeing attacking in the larger cities. I live in a small community, but the after effects will filter down. I never used to totally lock up my house, but I have started as more and more crime is moving from our small community to the outlying areas. They are EVERYWHERE. They are fanatical. Hopelessly brainwashed with the most sinister evil religion in history…And they want to destroy us. They use ANY means available, not just terrorism.     I believe that the Jihadists are working hard to bring down the west and it’s allies. They are seeking a global caliphate, with Sharia Law at the top of their agenda. Just as Iran believes more riots, and killings will bring back the Iman they are looking for this only helps there cause.

    I read an article a few months ago that there are certain parts of the UK that the police will not enter because Muslim groups live there. The Jihadists are predicted to take over the world in 20 or so years. The reason they can do this is because they have larger familes than other people. Such as France and other countries there will be more muslims in France than Frenchmen. The same with Spain, UK and all other countries.

      There are certain sections of many large cities that the police will not enter after dark because of black gangs – and the “Latino” (read that Mexican) gangs.

      The “West” however, is bent on self destruction. Failure to enforce laws, picking and choosing, selective enforcement, a justice system that feeds on sensationalism and where Justice is neither blind or even blindfolded, where money and fame walk and regular citizens are summarily thrown in prison for the same crimes. But there are many people and governments that are Muslims (believers in Islam). You need to study your history – the old “Caliphates” were governments and they were ruled by men who were Muslims.

      I see many of you on here that want the United States to be a “Christian” nation, with it’s rules and laws coming from or based on the Bible teachings – well, that is what countries we label as Islamist do, they believe their government and it’s laws should be based on their religion. You think yours is right and they think theirs is right. Christianity teaches going out and “converting” the world to Christianity – Islam teaches that they should go out and bring Islam to the world. Both have done it by “the sword”. Muslims believe you are infidels and you believe they are.

      Gee – this sounds like the two political parties in the US – the Socialist Democrats who would like to live under socialism, and the Republicans (and their allies the Tea Party) that want to live under the the Constitutional Law and freedom, rather than slavery to the state.
