      AUF has for many years had a fierce commitment to the Middle East. Today discussed the Foreign Minister, BBC correspondent Sissel Wold and Norwegian People’s Aid Kersti Beck-Olsen, the stalemate in Palestine and Israel.

      Yesterday, AUF leader Eskil Pedersen called for a boycott of Israel. In today’s debate also asked Villjar Hansen from Svalbard AUF whether Norway should take the initiative for such a mobilization. The foreign minister admitted that the situation is untenable, but believes that the boycott is the wrong tool.

      - Boycott will be to move from dialogue to monologue. It is difficult to open the door the day we will talk with Israel, said Gahr Store.

      Foreign Minister, however far in suggesting that Norway will support the proposal for a separate Palestinian state.

      - We are ready to recognize a Palestinian state. I await the actual resolution text Palestinians will promote the UN General Assembly in September, he said.

      These kids are being groomed just like Obama was. It breaks my heart to have them shot. It would have been better to set up a camp for people that beileve differently and fight the evil with knowledge and truth. These kids are probably children whose families also groom them for future positions in their socialist party. This is just one more sigh of the times.

      There are many different groups that hold camps every year,for many different purposes. I used to attend a church cape every year and worked at the Salvation Army camp for inner city kids.

      Just a note the facebook page labelling this man as Christian & conservative may be fake.

      Fangs does have a point as blunt as he may be.

      Even if this was an “indoctrination camp”, it’s still going WAY too far to do what this lunatic did. Unless they’re training kids to be terrorists or something, which they obviously were not. Even if they were training these kids to kill innocent people the right answer would have to go after those responsible for running the camp, not the kids. They don’t know any better.

      I’ve always felt bad for the soldiers of the Wehrmacht, the vast majority were just kids trying to serve their country with no idea of the atrocities their government was committing in their name. The officers that did know what the SS was doing generally tried to kill Hitler. [Note: I am NOT drawing a parallel between the Labor Party in Norway and the Nazis, just saying that kids are kids and they generally do what the powers that be tell them to do.]

      I read on Fox News that the SWAT team took 30 minutes to actually get to the island. Theirs is a different country. They do not have a police department every 10 miles or so with roaming police patrols. Fox News reported that the SWAT team went on alert because of the bombings and were dispatched to the island due to the shooting.

      So we should have police every hundred yards and cameras in each part of our homes. A complete police state still wont save you from one determined madman or group, but the police will bring the bodybags. Only you have the ability to protect and defend yourself when a threat emerges, screaming and running for your life wont make the bad guy chasing you go away.

      No…I believe HELPFUL is trying to say that this is a perfect example of why we should allow all good citizens to have guns in order to deter crime. If we have anti-gun laws, then good citizens won’t have guns, however criminals, or as HELPFUL deems them “bad guys”, will still have guns, because breaking the law is what they do. We must allow all citizens to have guns in order to maintain each individuals rights to protect himself and his family.

      I just may start carrying myself. I am a social progressive but definately believe in law abiding citizens right to carry. It is a big responsibility. I haven’t felt the need to be armed since leaving the inner city but would hate to be caught defenseless. I’m in Az so no problem here being armed.

      Norway is sad period. The only reason they are above the 3rd world standard is because they have oil as 40% of their GDP and oil went through the roof. Without that, they are probably worse off than Greece. They are not a model of anything that can be sustainable for anybody else, especially a country of hundreds of millions of DIVERSE people, from all over the world.

I’d like to see that happen when their diversity level reaches that of France, the USA or even Canada. What a joke!       Norway allows citizens to own semi-auto rifles, bolt action rifles, shotguns and handguns. They limit caliber and quantity you may have. For handguns, you may only have 4 as a “recreational shooter”…to own more you have to have an extensive involvement in shooting sports.

    Muslim Reality Show – My view is that the more we know about a people who are living in our midst as accepted immigrants, the better. We should see them in some reality which might show the good and bad. I have Muslim friends who are just wonderful, but we never talk politics or religion. This program might be a way for us to start talking about taboo topics or attitudes. I think we will be challenged to think about our own values. I think that getting a 5X per day break to pray would be a good thing for all of us and would not hurt productivity as much as access to the internet and brown bag slurping in the parking lot. As long as we know who are the producers, directors, and advertisers of the program are and where the money for the program comes from, it sounds like a good idea. There are many other “ethnic” programs on TV and this will just be another.

      The people of Norway did not take seriously Moslem Terrorism, like many Americans they wanted to believe that Moslems are basically good. Moslems are basically Evil and are now armed with atomic weapons: Iran, Pakistan, Syria. Its doubtful if the people of Norway will retaliate against Islam and will just hide in their homes with their doors locked. On YOU TUBE there is a video that shows a Norwegian man waiting for a bus in Oslo when two Middle Easterners come up to him and beat him to a bloody pulpe. They walk off laughing and leave him for dead. All of this was on a security camera the the Oslo cops never came. There was a time when the Norwegians were feared and respected.
