Are They Serious? ‘Shariah 4 America’ Group Calls for ‘Burkha’ on Statue of Liberty

As we’ve reported, controversial UK Muslim cleric Anjem Choudary has called on Muslims to “rise to implement the Shari’ah in America,” starting with a planned demonstration in front of the White House on Thursday.
Choudary’s “call for revolution” is being organized and advertised by Shariah4America, a group calling for the “Islamic demolition of the Statue of Liberty” and a remodeling of the White House into a “White Masjid.”
According to the group’s website, the Statue of Liberty “elevates the command of man over the command of God” and public veneration of the statue amounts to idol worship strictly prohibited by Islam. “This has forced sincere Muslims to develop realistic plans that will aid in the removal of the Statue of Liberty.
“Due to the scale of the task at hand, it is highly likely that rigorous safety checks will need to be employed before the demolition of the Statue of Liberty can commence; thus as a temporary measure, it is proposed that a large burkha is used to cover the statue, thereby shielding this horrendous eye sore from public view as well as sending a strong message to its French creators,” the site reads. Of course, the gigantic burkha is only a temporary solution. Shariah4America goes on to describe “plans” to detonate Lady Liberty with dynamite and build a minaret in her place. “Demolition of the Statue of Liberty is due to begin soon,” the site says. “Explosive charges will be used and so all visitors are advised to steer clear of the building site.” (Is it not against some sort of law to publicly announce you’re going to blow up a major tourist attraction?)
It’s unclear how working to usher in Shariah law impacts architecture, but the group also plans to refashion the White House:
These cartoonish plans beg the question: Is this “Shariah4America” movement for real?
“Burqa” is spelled wrong. The site suggests convicted pedophiles be impaled on the tip of the Washington Monument.
Could the “Shariah4America” site merely be a spoof of Choudary’s Islam4UK group, using Thursday’s march to satirically dupe people?
On the other hand, Choudary links to the Shariah4America site from his own website, AnjemChoudary.com, in a post about Thursday’s demonstration.

I say “potential” supporters on purpose because while they may be supportive in theory, they are doing it under false pretenses. So there is no real support. It’s all an illusion, based on lies and liberal propaganda. Words are cheap, and that is all their “support” for Islam is. They’ll say anything to get what they want. It’s just greed, not real compassion. It’s not about supporting Islam, it’s about bashing conservatism.
Once liberals realize their “allies” from other groups really are nut cases who want to come down on everyone, them included, you’ll see support drop drastically. Libs may be easily led around, but they aren’t completely brain dead. How many liberals do you know who would want this? Sharia law? Oppression of women? RELIGION? I can’t think of any. Their support for Islam is a sham. They are just using Muslims, as Muslims are using them. And that false support will only go so far. Liberals only support Muslims as long as it furthers the liberal agenda, not Islam.
The whole opposition is a house of cards, and you’re watching it fall apart. It doesn’t mean economic trouble is averted, but if you’re still worried about the united front, think again. Once the masses at the bottom realize what’s going on, they’ll put down the signs and defend their country from one group of radicals or another. It will all come apart at the seams. They’ll destroy one another for us, and we may even get most of our liberal brothers and sisters back in the process.
I dream of stuff like this happening… we should all be happy! Spread it around! Send some links to your liberal acquaintances. Don’t rub it in, just open their eyes. Not only are these people exposing themselves to us, they are exposing themselves to ONE ANOTHER. And that’s what we really needed all along. Take advantage of these opportunities. Not with snide comments, but by simply showing people. These groups have been compartmentalized, and too busy with their own little focus groups and blogs for so long to see the whole picture. Well, here’s the wake up call.
They are all coming out too quickly if you ask me. They jumped the gun big time, and are going to alienate one another. Run of the mill liberals are starting to look at the people around them. Just stay calm, and show people the way. Let them witness this for themselves, and they’ll wake up. This is a GOOD thing. Be happy!
Regular, everyday liberals aren’t our enemy. They are just lost. Help them find their way back!

On a serious note, my parents lived in the southern part of the Philippines for a while (huge muslim population). They said that if you don’t want them to come in to your house, hang a chunk of pork meat on your door and they won’t come in

Everyone is focusing on the protest, which lets assume those organizing it are US citizens who have gone through the proper channels. Why is the US State Dept allowing Choudary access into the US with the radical views he has esp after the Hannity appearance? Before you answer that keep in mind radio host Michael Savage (no Im not a fan, I have listened and posted clips but thats about it) has been banned from entry into the UK?
