Argument Over Missing Jewelry Ends With Hurled Bible to the Face

Bible Fight

Photo via Flickr user Erwin Vogelaar

A Florida woman has been charged with battery causing bodily harm after attacking her son’s girlfriend. The Fort Walton Beach woman’s weapon of choice? According to The Northwest Florida Daily News the most holy of all books, the Bible:

“The younger woman told deputies she had been arguing with her boyfriend‘s mother when the woman ’picked up a Bible and threw it at her.’ She said the Bible struck her in the right eye, which was swollen and bleeding when deputies arrived, the report said.”

The son told deputies he saw his mother hurl the Bible from 10 to 15 feet away during an argument over missing jewelry. The mother told deputies that the hurl was an accident, but still wanted her son’s girlfriend “out of the house because she was a thief.”

well, you can‘t say those words don’t have weight. Clearly they made an impact on this young woman. Sound like the mom was just trying toi hit her with some knowledge. Okay, I’m done now.

Don’t see anything different then some on this site hurling bible verses at one another like bricks. “Christians” wack others over the head all the time with the bible and never have it in there hand.
Think it’s called the plank in our eye / and the splinter in the others.

I “accidently” threw a book at my brother as I was chasing him down the hall – he had thrown a spider at my head (and I HATED spiders). That accident left a 1.5″ hole in the bathroom door he had closed just before that book might have accidently knocked some sense into his thick skull. It wasn’t a Bible, but it was a hardback book – well worth throwing at his gnat-sized brain. Aaaaaah… the good ol’ days.

Perhaps you should skip over the stories that don’t interest you. That’s kind of the point of the headline. Taking time out of your busy day to read a story, think about it, compose & write an opinion and then post that thought seems rather counter-productive.

You do realize that The Blaze is a conglomeration of Writers don’t you?

I logged on to MSN just to see what was going on in the world lefty loons and I’m “treated” to dead beats like Angelina Jollie, the 3 most wanted luxury cars for seniors, todays HORRORscopes, Stings 60th birthday, and new eye make-up tricks!

Nothing different about reporting about a thieving little airhead getting clocked by the Good Book!

“Ditto”, Richard Bensen. I’ve really been disappointed with the dwindling integrity and journalistic strength in the reporting published here on The Blaze. I used to browse through The Blaze daily, but now only once or twice weekly . For those of you on Glenn Beck’s staff reading this, let me say that your decision to alter the tone of reporting on The Blaze was unfortunate. You really should consider returning to the kind of reporting that brought you such high numbers of readers. Is it possible that you are turning your attention toward GBTV (where readers have to pay to read/hear your news reports), leaving The Blaze (currently free) to dangle on its own?

Note: I believe Roger Ailes is about to discover a mistake in his own plans to alter FOX News according to political correctness. I wonder if he is kowtowing to John Boehner and other like-minded RINO’s?

I‘m a fan of books by Louis L’Amour. In the Sackett series he’s always quoting them as “reading” wrong doers from the Good Book. I’m not real sure that I like this womans approach. If the kid is a thief? Give her a birds eye view of the weight it carries!

      Right? Wrong? Wrong? Right?

My dad has a saying that he starts with a quote from the Scriptures. “Vengeance is mine, I will repay saith the Lord”. My dad finishes it by saying, I would never get in the way of the Lord meting out the just due to wrong doers, but while he’s here on earth, he’s going to mete out a little of his own all the same.
