Arrest Warrant Issued in Rahm Emanuel Press Altercation

In a video that quickly circulated around the internet, a CBS affiliate correspondent in Chicago can be shouting down a WIND radio talk show host as he tried to ask hard-hitting questions of former White House chief of staff and current mayoral candidate Rahm Emanuel.

Now, Chicago Police say that CBS2′s Jay Levine must be held responsible for threatening the radio host with physical assault and have reportedly issued a warrant for his arrest.

WIND’s William Kelly wrote Friday:

This morning, I filed a police report and signed an arrest warrant against Jay Levine for assault. The Chicago police have already reviewed the video and agreed that an assault was committed.

According to a press release from Kelly’s camp, police reviewed the videotaped confrontation and agreed that Levin’s actions qualified as assault.

Neither Levine or CBS2 have yet to offer a comment or response to the accusations.

If there was a betting line on this, I’d put my money on the case never being pursued and give the points. We saw it in St. Louis with the SEIU thugs that beat up Kenneth Gladney and also with the New Black Panthers at the polling place. Can‘t see a Chicago prosecutor going after a TV guy who’s friendly to Rahm and tried to shield him from a hard question or two.

I think a few of you are slightly off base when you call Kelly rude. There was no formal press conference going on, it was just a case of Kelly getting to Rahm first, Rahm dodging Kelly’s questions and then the friendly TV guys deciding they should be able to squeeze Kelly out of the way so they could ask their softball questions and get their soundbites for the local evening news. Kelly was persistent but he had the same right to ask his questions, except he was getting ignored because he wasn’t teeing them up for Rahmbo. What’s he supposed to do, just give up?

I don’t know. I have mixed feelings. I don’t care for Rahm Emanuel at all, I think he’s a jerk. But why does the “reporter” guy have to be a jerk too? Dude was obnoxious. The questions could have been asked in a less condescending and confrontational way.

You didn’t watch the clip did you? Emanuel stone walled and ignored him until he came across a flock of lefty journalist who basically formed a wall around Rahm to shield him from the unwanted questions from Kelly. It was fairly disgusting to watch and Jay Levine is a known jackwagon — about time someone told HIM to stuff it.

As it is the chosen one Rahm Emanuel probably one of the most corrupt people walking the earth will properly be seated in the mayors office where he can continue the corruption several generations of Richard Daley’s put in place.

Ironically by the man who Rahm wouldn’t give a straight answer to! I think it’s ridiculous. I mean come on…he didn’t actually hit him. From my point of view, it is by NOT doing exactly as the Progressives do that reveals the real differences between our two viewpoints. By doing exactly the same as they do, we open the door to becoming them and justifing the way and manners THEY do things.

Let people be shown the two differences in sides and make up their own minds.

Ghandi freed a nation and his people from under the yoke of English tyrany by Change through Peaceful Means – do not use or sanction violence. Show them by peaceful means, just as the Lord Jesus did as well.

Point out where the actions of the individuals are incorrect, and kill them with kindness.

They may never come to agree with you, but eventually they will respect you.

Kelly was there for a legitimate reason. The other reporter had no right to get into his face. The other reporter then became agggressive and threatened Kelly for doing his job.

While it may have been more personally satisfying to deck the guy, the important point is to show that conservatives will not be provoked into violence and that the rule of law still means something to us.

The other point is that by not decking the aggressor, CBS2 is left looking like the bully and Kelly looks like a serious, professional reporter. Somehow I don‘t think that’s the image that CBS2 is pleased with. Bit by bit, the MSM is showing how they have sold their soul to progressives and it ain’t a pretty picture.

If you think back to the 10/3 rally and the video clip of the woman who shoved the news reporter videotaping Sharpton, and then kept saying, “Don’t take my picture.”, the “victim” (and I use that term very, very loosely) went off and came back with security, all the while saying “Don’t take my picture”. She took pains to be in front of the camera while accusing the report of “taking her picture”. The important thing is that the reporter was not escorted off the property, he was not arrested or charged, because the security force knew she was trying to start something.

      Same scenario here.

If Rahm would have man up and answered the tough question the problem would have been solved. However, like most things if you ignore the issue it just gets bigger and never goes away. Rahm wimped out and waited for his local protectors to move in and the issue certainly got bigger and now won’t go away for a long while.

This is why I haven’t watched local news here in the Chicago area for 6-7 years. Between the TV coverage and The Tribune in particular, you would think Howard Dean did the programer/editor jobs.

The lame stream media and Levin can write what they want too, the public knows the truth. I know Levin will get off with a warning but the people of Chicago better wake up. here is the link http://www.iea.org.uk/files/upld-publication43pdf?.pdf
