Arson Suspected in Fire at Oregon Islamic Center Where Bomb Suspect Attended

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Corvallis Fire Department tells us that the fire department responded to a fire at the mosque where Portland’s alleged Christmas-tree bomber attended in Corvallis.
Carla Pusateri, a fire prevention officer for the Corvallis Fire Department, tells us that the fire department responded to a fire at the Salman Alfarisi Islamic Center in the 600 block of NW Kings Boulevard in Corvallis at 2:16 a.m. Sunday.
She said the fire was limited to one room of the mosque and firefighters were able to quickly extinguish it.
After completing a cause and origin investigation, she says “it appears the fire was intentionally set.”
Islamic Center leader Imaam Yosof Wanly condemned the alleged plot by the 19-year-old Oregon State University student, stating he “denounced the actions of Mohamed Mohamud.”
Wanly said he doesn’t believe the fire is a reflection on the community of Corvallis where he has lived for 24 years.
“I know people here know the true reality of the Muslim community here,” he said. “It’s a sad situation.”
Wanly said Mohamud was not a regular attendee of the mosque, but that he came once or twice a month since arriving on campus.

No innocent people were hurt in the Mosque fire, but many would have been killed by this Muslim terrorist if he had his way. I hope this keeps the spotlight on the real agenda of Islam and what it will continue to bring to America. There needs to be some serious changes in our immigration system NOW! No more Birthright citizenship! Current visa’s across the board need to be cut to almost 0 until we can manage the people that are in our country properly. Serious laws and penalties need to be put in place which means long jail terms and big fines for visa violators and illegal immigrants and those that hire and aid these criminals. No more Crimmigration in the USA! Keep up the fight, get involved with your family and friends and community and most of all don’t let up on those that are in charge of making laws, from the local level all the way up.

As for the actions that this young man took because he felt he it was what Allah wanted him to do, based on the teachings of the Koran and the Hadith (HIS WORDS NOT MINE) they speak for themselves. His belief that killing people not of the Islamic faith was so strong that he decided to actually murder his fellow citizens. I believe that this is a serious problem, unless the Imams of America publicly stand up and condemn what this young man did in the name of Islam. Unfortunately the collective actions of Imams in America have to date only endorsed these violent and destructive acts rather than discouraged them. Burning an empty Islamic Center is wrong. Detonating a van full of explosives in a crowd of men women and children is also wrong. However only one of them would have ended in the funerals of children, as a Nation I believe we need to identify the what causes young men of the Islamic faith to take such actions. I strongly encourage everyone to educate themselves in the teachings of Islam. With this Knowledge will come the explanation to why it is acceptable for people of the Islamic faith to take these violent and murderous actions. Education is the Key, once people understand what Islam teaches they will understand why these young men are compelled to do these horrible things.

Preventing one’s murder through terrorists is called self defense.In this country we don’t have so much of a terrorist problem as we have an Islamic terrorist problem. There is a difference. We know where Islamic terrorists hang out and we know where Muslim terrorists are recruited. If you want to stop getting stung by wasps you eliminate the hive instead of swatting individual insects. That being said this “arson” sure looks more like an attempt to destroy evidence, or Islamic propaganda. If some one were serious about getting rid of a terrorist training facility I’m sure they could have accomplished the job. Allow me to fill you in on a few facts of my own life; as a conservative christian chaplain, I routinely have to deal with beligerants of agnostic, atheist and christian communities, along with those of many other faiths and beliefs. Several of the ‘harmless’ and ‘non-violent’ atheists have been among those who have thrown rocks at me, assaulted me bodily (12 on one is not exactly a fair encounter when you are the one) while others kept the police at bay, and send me routine death threats along with breaking into the apartment I live in and spraying swastikas over every article of my clothing and the furniture. Quite often it has been the jewish and muslum members of other faiths who have come to my aid, along with some true christians.
So if you are going to spout on about the ‘non-violent’ atheists, and the ‘violent’ christians, I will most defilitly allow you to express your beliefs. Just remember your own words when they come back to bite this nation.
I too fight these terrorist actions any way possible within the law; and denounce them. Crimes of any kind are still crimes. Period.
