As SCOTUS Approaches Obamacare Decision Beck Says President Must ‘Heed’ The Following Words

Glenn Beck is back with a new Oval Office speech focused on the historic decision nine Supreme Court are poised to hand down that will determine the fate of Obamacare.

Beck observed that it will be “a major moment,” not just for Americans and the nation as a whole, but for the president himself. It will be President Obama’s one opportunity to show whether he “respects the court’s decision… or not.”

Thus far, through his verbal attacks on the Supreme Court over its past decisions, Obama has failed on all counts, according to Beck.

Obama “has fumed and he has pouted” and hardly shown leadership, according to Beck.

In an effort to “help” Obama out, Beck and his team researched other presidents who have also petitioned the court unsuccessfully, and even expressed disappointment, but all the while remained respectful.

Citing examples from presidents Thomas Jefferson, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and even Bill Clinton, Beck delved into the moments of truth each faced, when their respective battles with the Supreme Court had been lost.

There is a great tradition of presidents petitioning the court, and an even greater tradition of them losing,” noted Beck. “This is not a dictatorship. The president must abide the decisions of someone else.”

Beck explained to viewers that showing respect did not mean that each of the above presidents did not stand their ground, or pursue democratic channels in which to appeal the court’s decision. But in each instance, despite the tensions that may have been at play, these presidents gave the court, and its justices their dignity.

Beck then quoted President Reagan in 1983, after a Supreme Court ruling struck down state’s efforts to limit abortion-on-demand:

“I join millions of Americans expressing profound disappointment at the decisions announced by the Supreme Court.” [...] “The issue of abortion must be resolved by our democratic process. Once again I call on the Congress to make its voice heard against abortion on demand and to restore legal protections for the unborn whether by statute or constitutional amendment.”

“That’s how it works!” exclaimed Beck.

“Note the tone. It’s Upfront. It’s Unyielding. But it is respectful.”

Beck applauded the words of presidents who understood that the Supreme Court “is not a rubber stamp body.”

“These men knew what democracy and a republic meant. What checks-and-balances mean.”

While these presidents did not go away quietly, Beck explained the one other significant thing they did not do: “They did not try to undermine the Court. They did not lecture the Court. They did not misrepresent the issues or the ruling.”

In short, Beck said that they didn’t do what Barack Obama “has already done.”

Even Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who Beck said was dangerously close to being a dictator and “did the most to degrade the court,“ by attacking it as ”nine old men,” still somehow understood that the Supreme Court has an important and “vital role” in our nation’s democracy.

Sometimes, the democratic process and freedom “is messy,” Beck ceded. Sometimes, people would like to “forget about the challenges of writing a law” and making sure that that law is Constitutional, but the Court “doesn’t forget.”

“The Court doesn’t gloss over the little things. The Court clarifies the issues and compares it to what they say the government can and cannot do according to the Constitution.”

“It would be good for President Obama to heed these words,” Beck said. And show the nation that he not only can lecture, but that “he can learn” as well.

Yeah!!! The Democratic Process!!! Let’s see, what did Engels, Marx, Lenin, e.g. to the present, say about democracy and peace, ah yes, peace is the absence of dissent against communism and democracy is the acceptance of such.

If we’re lucky King Obama the First will simply ignore the court like Andrew Jackson did.
If we’re not lucky he will try to disband the court or perhaps arrest them for treason or something. After all everyone knows he’s the smartest guy to ever be President, I mean King. After all he said so himself!

What if the unthinkable happens? What if the Supreme Court declares Obama Care Constitutionally legal and good-to-go? The polls say that more than half of the people (who even care) want Obama Care overturned. I wonder if the People will take that kind of ruling with dignity and respect.

I would guess that if Obama Care is overturned, then the “slipped-in” funding would be free to go back to the Treasury. Why fund a Law that doesn’t exist? As for Delaware, they’re free to setup any State Healthcare they want – like Massachusetts.

Fear not. The SCOTUS was spot on when they asked the Solicitor General “if government can create commerce in order to regulate it?”

This will be a great week for Americans:

      1. Eric Holder is held in contempt for ignoring the subpoenas from Congress.

      2. Obamacare will be defeated in its entirety.

      3. AZ’s Immigration law will be upheld by the Supremes.

We have a long journey to get this country back on firm footing. First stop, STOP THE SPENDING!

I know I’m going to get ripped for this, but Beck has the gall to criticize Barry Hussein for his ego? The dude should look at the mirror. First he writes a book and entitles it “Common Sense”. Then, he refuses to help promote Mark Levin’s two incredible books, “Liberty and Tyranny” and “Ameritopia”. Then, he gets Andrew Breitbart to hate him, which isn’t hard, I’m sure (Beck tries to take on the mantel that Breitbart actually deserves). Then, laughably, he builds this set of the Oval Office and lectures the president on what he should and shouldn’t do.

Granted, Barry is a hack and way over his head, but Glennie is not much better. Call me a socialist or whatever…I’m actually more conservative than you are, I”m sure. Call me anti-American…but did you join the Army three days after 9/11? Probably not. Call me a Mormon hater…but that won’t work either because I AM a Mormon myself. I just can’t stand watching this hack peacock. He’s a total Delta Bravo that needs to get a grip.

I can respect that you don’t like Glenn Beck, but I hardly think any ego can compare to President Obama’s. President Obama is the epitome of every Ivy League snob who walks into the room and instantly thinks that he knows more than everyone and that everybody should listen to him. I have never seen another man in history with enough gall to believe that by force of personality alone they can shape the world to the policy they desire.

It is Reagans_Army’s choice to watch, but one must know the enemy to know the fight. Sun Tzu. I am not saying GB is the enemy by any means, but I comprehend what Regs_Army is saying about ego.

The Army of Reagan, this is for you: GB may be a “Delta Bravo” but he is far better than any MSM “Delta Bravo” due to his willingness to speak about what others do not, and he is our “Delta Bravo”. Look at his past and you will see a transformation, unless of course he even started to believe his own crap, but this is not the case. He learned from his viewers as did his viewers learn from him, at least that appears to be the truth and I hope he is not the Illuminati card “Gordo Remora”. And so the relationship has grown into what it is today; as an aside I do wish he would visit some of his old tenets and research explorations such as ‘conspiracy theories’; the balance between too much and not enough political…whatever. But he purposely leaves it that way to give us an avenue with which to digest his information according to our beliefs, he is no idiot.

And as far as the Mormon thing, I can not agree, Smith getting his epiphany from a salamander and the first book of Nephi stating; Nephi 1:2

“Yea, I make a record in the language of my father, which consists of the learning of the Jews and the language of the Egyptians.”

You know, true Jews and Christians reject the Egyptians according to polytheism and the Book of Daniel, first chapter???

Well, Medicare has been around for 47 years and no one has successfully argued that it is unconstitutional. Unless you favor activist judges, I think its a little late to advocate that the court strike down medicare. Out of curiosity, do you think the elderly should have private medical insurance just like everyone else? I imagine the “pre-existing conditional” exclusions would make it hard for most elderly to get private coverage that is anywhere close to affordable.

Fumed and pouted? You mean like…

“I join millions of Americans expressing profound disappointment at the decisions announced by the Supreme Court.” [...] “The issue of abortion must be resolved by our democratic process. Once again I call on the Congress to make its voice heard against abortion on demand and to restore legal protections for the unborn whether by statute or constitutional amendment.”” -Ronald Reagan

So he 1. Didn’t like the decision, and 2. Wanted Congress to help fix it. Is that fuming and pouting? Because, if it isn’t…

“Last week, the Supreme Court reversed a century of law that I believe will open the floodgates for special interests … to spend without limit in our elections. Well I don‘t think American elections should be bankrolled by America’s most powerful interests… They should be decided by the American people, and that‘s why I’m urging Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill that helps to correct some of these problems.” -Barack Obama

So Obama 1. Doesn’t like the decision, and 2. Wants Congress to help fix it.

      Jesus Christ on a butter-lathered Constitution *******!

Do you not understand that States (you know, the individual 50 states that make up this union) can do anything they want pursuant to the 9th and 10th Amendments, provided that it isn’t barred by the Constitution?

If Idaho wanted to ban potato production tomorrow–they could.

If Kentucky wanted to collectivize Bourbon production–they could (they have)

If California wanted to make porno the state art-form-it can.

If Massachusetts wants centralized health-care—it can.
