Underwear Bomber Pleads Guilty

DETROIT (AP) — A Nigerian man said Wednesday he tried to blow up an international flight for al-Qaida with a bomb in his underwear in retaliation for the killing of Muslims worldwide, taking a federal court in Detroit by surprise as he pleaded guilty on the second day of his trial.
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab answered questions from U.S. District Judge Nancy Edmunds before pleading guilty to all eight charges he faced, including conspiracy to commit terrorism and attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction. He then told the courtroom that the bomb was a “blessed weapon to save the lives of innocent Muslims.”
“I intended to wreck a U.S. aircraft for the U.S. wreckage of Muslim lands and property,” Abdulmutallab said.
Abdulmutallab, who told the judge he is 25, said he carried a bomb onto Northwest Airlines Flight 253 in his underwear on Christmas 2009 with the intention of killing the nearly 300 people on board. The bomb didn’t work, and passengers jumped on Abdulmutallab when they saw smoke and fire.
Prosecutors’ evidence was stacked high. Abdulmutallab was badly burned in a plane full of witnesses. The government said he told FBI agents he was working for al-Qaida and directed by Anwar al-Awlaki, a radical, American-born Muslim cleric recently killed by the U.S. in Yemen.
There were also photos of his scorched shorts as well as video of Abdulmutallab explaining his suicide mission before departing for the U.S.
On Tuesday, passengers on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 testified that Abdulmutallab took a long bathroom break in the plane, during which prosecutors say he was preparing for martyrdom.
He took a small bag to the bathroom and was gone 10 to 15 minutes, according to passenger Mike Zantow, the first witness in Abdulmutallab’s terrorism trial.
“I thought he was freshening up for arrival in Detroit. … We had less than an hour to go,” Zantow said.
A prosecutor said Abdulmutallab was performing a cleansing ritual to prepare for death.

He was on the “no fly” list, hand no passport, and his father has raised the alarm about his intentions. So, HOW DID HE GET ON THE PLANE? Who put him there? That should have been addressed.

They had him at the airport too. What about him? If this guy was so badly burned, why did the pictures of his underwear not show it? There are too many questions to ask here, like.. WHY did he decide to represent himself and plead guilty when the lawyer he had was going for entrapment and had witnesses lined up to prove it? The only witness Umar is bringing in is the lawyer that saw him being escorted through security with no checks, no passport and then told the ticket agent before boarding, “we do this all the time.“ Why has the court sealed all the airport video that would have proved the case siting ”National Security?” To many questions not enough space. It‘s sad that so many people still drink the gov’t kool-aid without wanting to know what’s in it.

“Allah” was being worshipped at the Kaa’ba in Mecca by Arabs prior to the time of Mohammed. It was formerly the name of the chief god among the numerous idols (360) in the Kaaba in Mecca before Mohammed made them into monotheists. Historians have shown that the moon god called “Hubal” was the god to whom Arabs prayed at the Kaa’ba and they used the name “Allah” when they prayed.

The Koran tells us that Mohammed drove the other idols away; he made one God now the only god and he was its messenger. He kept the Kaaba as a holy, sacred place and confirmed that the black stone had the power to take away man’s sins. He obligated every believer to make a pilgrimage to the stone at least once in his lifetime. (Sura 22:26-37) No Old Testament saint ever had a pilgrimage to the Kaaba and kissed its black stone despite stories that Abraham and Ishmael restored it.
It is clear that Allah was a part of the large pantheon of gods and the idea of making Allah a monotheistic god was apparently Muhammad’s decision.
Allah had previously been worshipped as having three daughters that were gods themselves known as “Allah’s Trinity.”
When Muhammad first suggested that Allah was the one and only god, he faced incredible resistance and this was one of the first schisms
