Oh yeah… and another thing… over 40 years ago former Sec. of Agriculture Ezra Taft Benson said that if the anti-communist (don‘t pretend it’s gone away) organization you‘re associated with isn’t getting slandered left and right, you aren’t doing a good enough job. (That was paraphrased.) So everyone anti-communist can pat themselves on the back. Good job!

These two men are fools! The founding fathers felt they were doing God’s work as well. They wrote the constitution that protects the speech these two knuckle-heads spew from their ignorant lips. To compare Sarah Palina to the Islamo-Facists is pure insanity at best. Attention liberals… We (Christians) see the freedom of religion as a sacred right! After all, the ones (those pesky founding fathers again) who made the freedom of religion a right were primarily Christian. Seriously, do women (other than muslim women) were masks over their heads? Are women seriously treated like second class citizens (I know, I know – right now there are some women who would say yes, but I would encourage those women to visit the middle east and then re-evaluate their answer)? The left has to some day get a grip and realize that, though the USA is not perfect, our country is by far the greatest nation ever known to man – why? Because it was founded on the principals of Christ. Sorry, libs, kust the facts. Get your angry, misguided heads out of the proverbial sand – please! You just may start to enjoy life again :)

A large part of why a lot of people feel that liberals are not Christians is because the liberal beliefs followed by liberals today are not compatible with Christianity. Saying that liberal and Christian beliefs can coexist within the same person is like someone saying “I am a Christian even though I don’t go along with what God and Jesus says”. Of course there are as many versions of Christianity as there are fish in the sea. I would be more than happy to say that liberalism and Christianity is compatible with each other as soon as the beliefs and goals of liberalism change to reflect God’s word.

Disclaimer: I do believe that some Christians can lean towards the leftist/Marxist beliefs but if they stay true to God’s Word then those leftist beliefs will soon fade away into the darkness that they came from.

I have to shake my head at the “Run for your lives, the Christians are on the rampage!” mindset. These DK types make conservatives out to be a horror show of rigid, crippling religious rules — rules they are supposedly salivating to put everyone under. How is that going to happen in this day and age? I‘m reading David Barton’s book “Original Intent,” and it makes it clear just how hobbled Christians and conservatives are in this country. Besides, the Gospel is about giving, caring, and love, not enslaving others. I guess it’s hard to see Truth when Lies make you feel better.

Plus, if you read David Barton’s book – “Setting the Record Straight about American History in Black & White”, you would know that women had the right to vote in the 1700s. Black & white Americans went to same church in Phila. There were black & white founders. After the Civil War & Reconstruction afterwards, the Democratic party started the Ku Klux Klan, went out of their way to threaten.murder/maim any black man who tended to vote Republican because dems voted against every anti-slavery law on the books & when they came into power after that, they voted to remove laws that would have protected Americans of all colors. When the KKK killed people, they also killed white republicans, who favored the anti-slavery laws. The DNC removed this section of history from their website. Check out Barton’s books. You will learn about the history that was hidden from all of us!

Beck, Palin and other conservatives know what the bible says. Read the Bible and then read the Quran. Perhaps you will get it and if not, it is the Lord’s will. So please stop being condescending as many atheists are former believers who probably know more about your religion and holy book than most average Christians.

I’m fiscally conservative/socially liberal but you religious folks need to relax because you alienate many folks like myself with all the religion nonsense. In case you forgot, we live in a secular republic with freedom of religion, which also entails freedom from religion. So please keep your jesus to yourself and I’ll keep my godless heathenism to myself.

      @JCLEM17:

      > I’m a former christian (albeit a weak christian) and you know what convinced me that it is all but
      > myth and legend: reading your good ol’ babble.

Then perhaps you have a reading comprehension issue. I am the reverse – I wae raised Catholic, rejected all religion in my teens, and remained convinced that being a “good” person did NOT require any GOD-thang well into my mid 20s. Then, I began to OPEN MY MIND again and intellectually re-evaluated *EVERYTHING* again from scratch. In the process, I picked up that “babble” you referred to and actually READ IT and studied it. I judged it by the available evidence and the patterns of the logic the story/stories all present. The evidence for the reality of God as a loving God, who sent his son to die for our sins when we were all still lost to him and hated him and what he represented to us at the time he was among us left no doubt in my mind to the undeniable truth of his divinity – and the equally undeniable truth to OUR LACK of anything resembling Divinity – that I was inspired enough to change. I am today as devoted a follower of Christ BY INTELLECTUAL CHOICE as well as by faith.
The same chance to choose agian remains open to you so long as you yet live. Are you so sure you have chosen wisely in this regard? What was your real level of effort at reading and comprehending what is in the Bible? (and that is a real and fair quesiton, not a criticism.)

      > I’m fiscally conservative/socially liberal but you religious folks need to relax because you alienate
      > many folks like myself with all the religion nonsense.

Perhaps that is because you are overly sensitive on the subject of religion for some reason? As for your “socially liberal” mindset, I understand this – to an extent. God himself gives us the freedom and the power to choose what we will do with our lives, and if that is not a “liberal” ideal, then I don’t know what is. OTOH, He will also hold us accountable for what we do with that power to choose. So, really, if we are to care for one another (as Christ taught us as the second greatest commandment), should we not care enough to try and help each other make the best choices possible? ..in SPITE of how we may each FEEL about that?

      > In case you forgot, we live in a secular republic with freedom of religion, which also entails freedom
      > from religion.

Sorry, but you are just wrong on that point. Allow me to explain, you are guaranteed the freedom to choose what religion to practice (including none at all) and freedom of how to express that viewpoint. You are NOT guaranteed to be free FROM anybody else’s freedom to express their views on religion or any other subject. Freedom TO Choose is NOT the same thing as freedom FROM others’ choices. This is a logical impossibility on its face. Any other interpretaiton is a violation of the freedom to choose and express for _someone_. It must either be freedom for all, or it will be freedom for none.

Think about that logic a little bit more carefully and you will understand my point.

      > I’m a former christian (albeit a weak christian) and you know what convinced me that it is all
      > but myth and legend: reading your good ol’ babble.

Then, perhaps you have a reading comprehension issue? – Or perhaps you just didn’t do that reading with a truly Open Mind? I was born into a Catholic family but rejected all religions and Gods as a (typically rebellious) teen. I was convinced by the left-think that “God” was unnecessary for people to be “good” folks. This continued well into my 20s, but as I grew older I slowly began to question _everything_ again, most especially my own presumptions about life and reality, including those about religion and faith. So, I eventually (after much foot-dragging on my part) began to open and READ that “babble” you refer to. I studied it, because I wanted to know whether the critics or proponents thereof were more right. The more I studied, and the more questions I asked, with an OPEN MIND, the more convinced I became of two key things: 1) Yes, there IS s God, and 2) WE ain’t HIM. Among my other important thoughts on these central questions were these: Even if we’re WRONG about point #1, are we better off in believing in a God (especially a loving, caring God who preaches peace and understanding amongst men), or not? Thus I came to CHOOSE to believe in Christ – after carefully evaluating all the available evidence with an open heart and mind.
The chance to choose again remains open to you as well while you yet live.

      > I’m fiscally conservative/socially liberal but you religious folks need to relax because you alienate
      > many folks like myself with all the religion nonsense.

I really understand the tendency towards socially liberal thinking. But consider this as well: did not God grant us both the right and power to choose to wether follow or abandon Him? If this is not the ultimate expression of a liberal ideal, then I don’t know what is! OTOH, We are also taught that He will demand form us an accounting of how we used that power he gave us to choose. in the end, are you all that certain that you have chosen truly wisely thus far (and that is a fair question, not a criticism)?

      > In case you forgot, we live in a secular republic with freedom of religion, which also entails
      > freedom from religion. So please keep your jesus to yourself and I’ll keep my godless
      > heathenism to myself.

I’m sorry, but on that point you are just totally wrong, and I don’t need the Bible or Jesus to prove it to you either. We are guaranteed the right to choose our religion (or lack thereof) and how to express that choice/view. This is NOT the same thing as being free from anybody else’s choices or their expressions of those choices. The moment that anybody is restricted in when, where, and how they are permitted to express their views (on religion or on any other matter) is also the moment where the freedoms of speech/expression (and of choice) are abridged for _some_. Logically, you cannot have it both ways. Freedom to choose is not freedom FROM others choices (or the consequences thereof). If you wish to go down that road of thinking, we will inevitably circle back to the “who’se got the most brawn to back up their words/wills” territory, and really, is that where you want this to end up? I don’t.

I have no more desire to “force” my will upon you as I would wish you to inflict your will upon me or my family. I would, however be happy to allow you to convince me, providing ai get the equal chance to convince you – with thoughts, words, and logical discussion – not with forces of arms.

So sorry, but “Freedom OF” is most definitely NOT the same thing as “Freedom FROM” – EVER.
(and if you’ll notice, I didn’t have to either attack you personally or denigrate your family/heritage/etc to address you on point…and yet you’re still free to either agree or disagree with me. Isn’t freedom of expresison great?! – freedom FROM expresion meansa I could be barred from ever posting this reply to you.)

You will NOT find atheists walking around and trying to deconvert folks from religion but every day you religious folks are pushing your religion on us. So please stop with the persecution complex and grow up as you are the majority in this country.

I read the bible and was horrified by the malevolent bully that is the god of the old testament. Can you please enlighten me to the moral of the Lot story? Also, why are you not keeping slaves as your bible says? There are so many immoral things in the bible that I could go on forever.

That, I agree with. However, please read on to the 2nd ammendment where we, the citizens of this awesome country, have the right o protect ourselves and the prcious rights we rwad in the 1st ammendment. There is a resaon that the right to bare arms is the 2nd ammendment – to protect the rights found in the first from a tyrannical government – liberalism (i.e. Socialism) is a form of tyranny. Okay, Dingleberry, let’s parse your hypothesis regarding the similarities between the Taliban and members of the Tea Party movement.

      YOU TEND TO BE UNEDUCATED
False. In fact, members of the Tea Party tend to not only be educated, but also well informed; having real opinions about current events. At any rate, they are better educated than the inner-city high school dropouts that the democrats rely on to win elections.

YOU TEND TO LIVE IN RURAL AREAS
If by “Rural” you mean “you don’t live in New York City, San Francisco, or Los Angeles,” then I guess you have a point. On the top of your head.

      YOU LIKE TO CARRY GUNS
Yes, and so do their sons and daughters, who join the military and serve their country. So, what have you done for America lately, Baggy?

ARE GENERALLY OF ONE ETHNIC BACKGROUND
So is america, if you look at the demographics. “Generally” simply means, “the majority of you” and, frankly, that applies to a lot of our country. Notice how monochrome the left side of the Senate chamber is?

YOU SEE YOUR RELIGIONS AS THE ONLY CORRECT WAY
Yeah, and you libs are so tolerant of dissenting points of view with regards to your religion of choice: government…

YOU NEED A LEADER AS IF YOU WERE SHEEP.
Dangles says, while bowing before a shrine to his great leader, Barrack Obama.

I cant believe no one corrected Danglingbags on the second ammendment comment so here goes (and yes I Wikipedia’d it):

The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights that protects the right to keep and bear arms. It was adopted on December 15, 1791, along with the rest of the Bill of Rights.

Two U.S. Supreme Court rulings in 2008 and 2010 clarified the meaning of the Second Amendment. In District of Columbia v. Heller, the Court ruled that the Second Amendment protects an individual’s right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia,[1][2] and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home. It further held that three Washington, D.C. ordinances banning usable firearms in the home were in violation of the Second Amendment. In McDonald v. Chicago, the Court determined that the Second Amendment limits state and local governmental authority to the same extent that it limits federal authority.[3] The Supreme Court also stated that its ruling was not to be taken as an indication that all firearm restrictions are unconstitutional.

guys… please dont let dangling reduce you to the same level as his mind works on… we are all better than that I am sure.

      Dangle,

Your “understanding” of the 2nd amendment is truly amazing in it’s stupidity. It only applies if you are in the military and only if you are talking about flintlock firearms? The mind boggles at your ignorance. Fortunately last month the Supreme Court made a decision that American citizens have the individual right to own modern firearms. I would say that it opposes your view but no one else in the whole country has proposed what you “think” that the 2nd amendment means. You really are just a kid aren’t you? I think that I hear your mommy calling.

First off, it is not limited to those in the military, it is so that a militia might be formed quickly.

Second, it is not limited to muskets or flintlock pistols – neither firearm is mentioned in the ammendment, nor is there any stated or implied limitation on the type of gun.

Third, you really should consult the source document and stop imagining that the things your sources tell you are in there are actually in there – the words abortion, helathcare, and housing are not in the Constitution either…

Finally, check out that thenth ammendment, it says anything not enumerated in the constitution or surrendered by the states to the federal Gov’t are reserved for the states (and no, not just the original 13, ALL the states).

There, that should keep you busy for a while…

Wow, ding-a-ling, you are just informed enough to form some opinions and those are based on simple gut reactions. I did that when I was fifteen years old and I once thought that socialist/communist ideas were good. So my reaction is that you are either young or VERY uneducated (yes I know how to use caps too). Forgetting those assumptions let me address a point or three that you tried to make that some seem to miss.

I am not of a single race. Yes I appear white but there is a very vast cultural/race contribution in my past including black and Indian (yes both) along with Irish and many others. My family has a history of not being racist at all and in all affairs.

By “uneducated” I’m guessing that you think most of us did not finish high school or even go on to advanced education. You are wrong most of the people you criticize so vehemently (sorry big word) have gone through advanced learning and vast life experience, which can be even more important in some matters. A decent high school education (you must have had a recent public school education, sorry) would show you how socialism and communism fails. It would also show you how a democracy will grow into either of the previously mentioned types of societies. Both societal/economic environments rely on the lack of education of its citizenship to grow into power and maintain power eventually resulting in revolt, historically violent, and we wish to avoid the violence. So I refer to the point in the first paragraph, you are either young or uneducated.

As for your last concern about arms, yes I have right to protect myself and I have proven that to the authorities. This does not mean that I carry a weapon or carry out my daily life with a weapon on my side or the threat of it. Rather it means that if I am threatened or my countryman, yes you included, is threatened I would use every method at my disposal to protect life. I would never use a weapon to protect simple possessions but life is another matter.

      AGAIN I Wiki’d it.

The Third Amendment (Amendment III) to the United States Constitution is a part of the United States Bill of Rights. It was introduced on September 5, 1789, and then three quarters of the states ratified this as well as 9 other amendments on December 15, 1791. It prohibits, in peacetime, the quartering of soldiers in private homes without the owner’s consent. It makes quartering legally permissible in wartime only, and then only according to law. The Founding Fathers’ intention in writing this amendment was to prevent the recurrence of soldiers being quartered in private property as was done in Colonial America by the British military under the Quartering Act before the American Revolution (1775–1776).[

No American soldier may enter my home unless I invite him… and even then unless he is with my Sailor husband, Soldier Brother, or MSGT Father, it is my decision… personal property…

can you at least check which constitutional right you are referring to BEFORE you refer to it….

      Once again…

Danglings, I think you should read the 3rd amendment before you invoke it the way you have. This amendment allows us to refuse to quarter military without our consent. I will invoke this right when the government tries to oppress people, but I don’t see that soon. Just like the 5th you should know what your are invoking before speaking.

To all my fellow Conservatives that Love Our Country!

When A Radical Progressive Spews such nonsense it comes from a Chapter called Tactics, in the book called “Rules for Radicals” by Saul Alinsky. Page 126 Here is their MAIN AGENDA:

“Here our concern is with the tactic of taking: how the Have Not‘s can take Power from the Have’s.”
In case you haven’t noticed that’s Obama’s plan, Fundamentally Transforming America, into a Socialist Country…

There are numerous ways in the book to attack those who are in their way and those who want to destroy their opposition to this plan, and the Tea Party is currently their Main Target,…

Rule# 13 comes to mind: Identify, personalize, Demonize, Destroy… in this case it’s the Tea Party..
They know it’s a force they haves so far not been able to stop, they will try many ways to achieve this Agenda… These are very organized and Sick individuals as you can see by their newest attempt!

We can only stand firm, get out our message and the vote in November and ignore their tantrums, which will occur over and over again.

Oh geeze Dangle, I wish I could be as intelligent as you. Where can I learn them big words? I need to know!! And name calling…love that. It just makes you sound like you know what you are talking about.

Just playin’ you love to come here all the time and call people names. Lets take an intelligent approach to how you are a tool and don’t even know it. Yeah that was kinda name calling, but you used it in another post, I’m just deflecting it back to you.

YOU TEND TO BE UNEDUCATED (Not true, lay off MSNBC for a while, all your press does is find the craziest people and put them on the air portraying them as tea party, or whatever they are trying dis-credit, to trick YOU. And it seems they do a good job. I could find just as many wacko, uneducated looking people that think the same as you.)
YOU TEND TO LIVE IN RURAL AREAS (This is bad how? If it is just a similarity “sure, sure” hahaha, but there are just as many people in the cities that believe in small governement.)
YOU LIKE TO CARRY GUNS (More like we have a right to have them. Not many of us carry them around to intimidate people, and I’m sure you would love your right to have one as well if lets say the “evil christians” were taking over, and there was overwhelming evidence that they were going to force it upon you.)
ARE GENERALLY OF ONE ETHNIC BACKGROUND (MSNBC comes to mind again. “Just get the shots with the white people.” But yeah, I would have to agree that most people that engage in tea parties are white, but lets look at it intelligently shall we? When all the main stream is saying tea parties are a bunch of racists, why would I (if I were not white) want to attempt attending. I would be afraid. But ask any of the people “of color” that did go if they experienced a white only vibe from the crowd.)
YOU SEE YOUR RELIGIONS AS THE ONLY CORRECT WAY (No one is saying religion needs to be forced on anyone. We just think religion teaches values, and principles, good things to live by, and if everyone had values, principles, and respect for other people, people would get along, no matter what your religion. “you stupid sheep, you know you want christians to take over the world.”…not true. Are there some wacko christians out there? Sure there are, but there are wackos on every side of every thing. I’m not even christian by the way.)
YOU NEED A LEADER AS IF YOU WERE SHEEP. (What do you need? Big Government? Is that not need for a leader? You are a pawn, you dont even have the luxury of being a sheep. In the end game of what you are defending, you will no longer be needed. God is a guide, not a leader, anyone who is “EDUCATED” about religion knows this. In a nut shell: God says “this is a good way (take out the politics of “they are wrong we are right”) to live life, now it is up to you to MAKE DECISIONS. I will judge you in the end.”)

As a side note, it should be noted that Barry-O, while a member of the Illinois state legislature (apparently between campaign appearances for the US Senate) stated his opposition to making gang activity a capital offense.

So, we can see that the innability to see where the real danger lies in this country is something that exists at all levels of liberal hierarchy.

Look, you want a demo, here’s one.

A fiscal conservative. A military conservative. A liberal on social issues two issues: abortion (not my right to say it’s right or wrong for anyone else but me) and supports gay marriage.

A worried American who wants to know who we’ve gotten ourselves into hoc with to pay for all these programs. Who owns our debt? What countries have we gotten ourselves into bed with? Have we weakened ourselves by spending up to our eyeballs. Every time the news comes on it’s a trillion here and billions there. Who’s going to own our butts now?

Me being uneducated can you tell me who owns our tab? Who’s our lenders?

And what peg can you fit this profile into???!?!?
