Audio: Did One of Rahm’s Opponents Really Flush a Toilet During Radio Interview?

Listeners of WGN-AM radio were unwitting witnesses to a rather unfortunate campaign gaffe by Congressman Danny Davis, one of former White House chief of staff Rahm Emmanuel’s top opponents in the run to be the next mayor of Chicago.
As the station interviewed Rep. Davis on his campaign for mayor, the conversation was interrupted by the very distinct (and embarrassing) sound of a toilet flushing on Davis’ end. The radio hosts were understandably baffled and, unfortunately for Davis, decided to make a joke out of the awkward situation. “You gotta be able to multitask” to be a good mayor, one of the hosts joked.
