Black List Author Brad Thor Reacts to Glenn Becks Restoring Love Event

Author Brad Thor

New York Times bestselling author Brad Thor was among the tens of thousands of people who traveled to Dallas this week for Glenn Beck’s historic Restoring Love event. It’s here that he says he met “the most wonderful collection of human beings” he had ever had the pleasure of being around.

Thor, who has attended numerous Tea Party rallies, said there was just something different and special about Restoring Love — something indescribable even.

Thor gave TheBlaze an impromptu interview that, interestingly enough, we conducted while traveling in a pick-up truck to Cowboys Stadium for the Restoring Love finale on Saturday. But in the end, that seems quite fitting.

Thor said he was “overwhelmed” after seeing so many good-hearted Americans come together in one place to do good. He also said, as an author, the words to truly describe how amazing the event was eluded him but the overpowering sense of goodness and love was like nothing he had ever experienced.

“I don‘t want to say it’s like that day after 9/11, that 9/12 experience where we all came together as Americans, but it was,” Thor told TheBlaze. “You know, it didn’t take something terrible to happen to get us all together in one place.”

He continued: “This is what you want everyone in your community to be. This is what you want your neighbor to be, and the teachers at your school and the people in your government.”

In addition to speaking at a town hall discussion group for Restoring Love on Friday, Thor was at Cowboys stadium for a book signing where people waited in huge lines to get their copies of his latest book, “Black List,” signed and to shake the author’s hand.

“Everybody wanted to talk about the plot of the book. Everybody was really into it, really intrigued and said you know, ‘this plot is so real, the things you write about are the things I have been thinking‘ and that’s what I heard from people over and over again.”

You can order your copy of “Black List” here.

Brad is right! But here comes the but though! It has not hurt his book sales in the least to be associated with this outlet.

Brad’s main character, Scot Harvath, is anything but a liberal. He would have approved of the Restoring Love event.

It is a majestic peaceful calm that has settled around each of Gods people.

I understand what Mr Thor was saying…I cried for weeks after 9/11. But I was also proud of Americans and how we all did come together and yes this felt much like that.
To the haters..I’ve asked this before why do you come here? What do you get out of it? Do you think we will agree with you? LOL not going to happen so why? Do you think your so smart you can shame us for wanting to share love and hope with our fellow man? I for one feel sorry for you for many reasons. You call us names and think your making some BIG statment or joke..sorry to tell you but you are the punch like sad to say. So I will always just respond with..God Bless you.

You are all the type to have a “we will never forget” sticker, hat or t-shirt but only 11 years later, you are A OK with comparing the day after a national tragedy to a zealot’s get rich quick scheme? Close to 3 thousand poeple died on 9/11 which gave us the set off two wars that has killed and continues to kill thousands and thousands. You get a warm and fuzzy from throwing your money at GB and all of a sudden, it’s the day after 9/11?! You should all me ashamed of yourself and GB should especially be ashamed of himself but… he will be too busy counting his money to be ashamed.

One of the problems patriot Americans have to deal with are people who are lacking in knowledge and wisdom and filled with total ignorance. These are people like you, malcom, who will never be fulfilled in anything they do because they are the takers and not the givers. You, malcom, need to search your life and try to correct this ill-conceived path you’ve taken, and learn to be a better human being.

Malcom you sound jealous of GB’s success. He works very hard and he has every right to provide a product and we have every right to support it. Don’t agree with him or what he does, then go away from The Blaze. Nobody is making you stay here spewing your hate filled mantra.

We will never forget 9/11. It is etched in history and no matter how much you leftist wienies want to erase history, we will not COMPLY with your wishful thinking. We won’t forget Pearl Harbor either.

So get off your little high-horse, come down to earth with the rest of us, before you fall off and hurt yourself.

Malcom, I genuinely feel sorry for you and others like you, you are obviously a lost soul with no love and compassion in your heart for your fellow man. What did you do today to help a brother or sister in need? Why do you feel the need to bash Glenn Beck and people like him who are trying to help their fellow man.

Malcom0983……..If you saw the books for this event, you would know that parking at Cowboy Stadium was free, althought there was the usual or more even security and shuttle service. Tickets were $10 and I sat on the floor next to the stage at this price. Historical artifacts used in the show had price tags in the millions and some were on loan from museums. There was a replica of The Liberty Bell, one of only a few, shipped in from Philadelphia at Glenn’s expense via Fed Ex. Glenn reported at one point just before the event that he was many million dollars in the hole. Facts simply don’t support your contention that he is a money mad capitalist. By the way, I sat in on a lecture on Godinomics that underlined that Capitalism and profit are amply supported in bibilical verse and socialism is doomed to failure. But why would a person such as yourself want to burden your mind with facts when emotional gibberish is the only master you serve?

I love all of Thor’s books! I can‘t wait to read the newest one about Scot Harvath’s latest white-knuckled perils. Thanks, Brad, for the great books, and for being a true patriot! God bless!

9/12 felt good to people who didn’t lose anyone during 9/11. Because you got to witness all the togetherness without the loss.

But if you lost someone on 9/11, 9/12 was just as horrifying.

Did you read the article? He spoke of the feeling of coming together, not feeling good! As yes, those who lost someone came together in sorrow. Your comment is not relevant. Also, those of us who care about others didn’t “witness” the coming together…we experienced it.

It’s just a shame the main stream media is ignoring this miraculous event. If we could get some Nat’l coverage this event I believe would truely change America and give every American hope.

We are praying for GOD to open the heart, mind, ears, eyes and soul of at least one person per main stream media outlet. If one person will wake up to the truth and refuse to write any more lies and ONLY THE TRUTH, AMERICA will wake up.

Will you join us in this prayer for AMERICA, please?

Thank you and GOD BLESS AND PROTECT in JESUS’ SWEET AND MIGHTY name, amen.
