I see no racism in the thread, maybe poor humor, but no racism. I believe that ALL MEN are created equal by God, and I even believe that ALL WOMEN are too, unlike many muslims – Speaking of Jihadist, now that appears to me to better fit the definition of Racism. Yes, anyone can speak any language they wish. In fact, I encourage people to learn a different language. Being able to speak many languages is good. I for one can speak 4 different language, but when it comes to Official Language, there should only be one official language, and that is English. This is basic common sense! A nation must have one official language where all can understand. It is a uniting factor! It transcend bigotry and prejudices. The federal government should concentrate on one which is the official language. It is not the Government to provide funding for secondary official language. A private foundation or charity can do that. If we have a 2nd official language, what is the point. It only causes division and a larger bureaucracy. There again the argument for big government. If 2 or 3 language, then why not 1000 language. It does not make sense. Jesse Jackson is basically a racist. A nation cannot be efficient and robust when you have more than one official language. China has one official language Mandarin. Any nation can have their own choice of an official language. But by smart application, English is the most practical language for the USA. Even in Singapore where majority of the populace are Chinese, uses English as their official language, and the called it Singlish. Even in Malaysia where people speaks Malay, and has Malay as the official language, but they made a point to make English also as an official language simply because it is the most intelligent way to bring its nations to be at par with the world. To be competitive in the global marketplace one must be well verse in the English language. My point being English is currently the most intelligent language for America. Why digress and confused the people by having another official language. Most people I know are busy with other more important priorities in life than to spend time mastering another language. Everyone has the freedom to speak a language of their choice, but when it comes to official language English is the only way. A country cannot be united without one official language. The un-official but largely accepted language of the world is English. America has been speaking English since it was founded. Why change now. If proponents of multiple official language wants their way, then it is only fair to have native American language as the official language. There is not good reason to have more than one official language. The only reasons I can think of is racial domination and bias. The only language today that has transcend racial bias in English. English is the language of the world and the official language of USA.

So, had English been around when He walked the earth, He would have spoken it if He needed to, see? Personally, when I hear someone speaking another language at work or in a store, I walk up to them and ask them if they can show me their GREEN CARD. If they can show me, then I let them talk whatever they want, but warn them that people are watching them and are suspicious. If they don’t have a GREEN CARD, then I ask them to please speak English because MOST Americans speak ENGLISH! I am really tired of the dual standard and it is all our fault for allowing all this political correctness and trying to get along mentality. Each of us personally, should take a stand and stick to it. If you want to speak Spanish in public, then go back to Mexico. If you want to speak Spanish in your home, fine with me. But, out among the majority of Americans, SPEAK ENGLISH. I would say that if you don’t, then you want to provoke us in some way – not necessarily violent, but confrontational as I have done (explained above).
