Obama’s Top Adviser Admits: Obama Faces ‘Titanic Struggle’ for Re-Election

David Axelrod Says Obama Faces Titanic Struggle

David Axelrod (Photo: AP)

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — President Obama‘s chief political adviser is calling President Barack Obama’s road to re-election a “Titanic struggle.”

And David Axelrod also concedes that the Democratic president doesn’t have the wind at his back.

Axelrod shared his stark assessment on the next election with a crowd of New Hampshire politicians and business leaders Tuesday morning. Despite the challenge, he jabbed the field of Republicans jockeying for the chance to face Obama in 2012.

Axelrod notes that not one of the candidates defended a gay soldier when he was booed during the last presidential debate. And he says the Republicans have clung closely to the tea party line.

Their plans to fix the economy, he says, are the same plans that led to the economic downturn.

On February 24, 2011 President Obama informed Congress that he would not enforce the “Defense of Marriage Act”. Thus, Mr. Obama declared himself a Dictator? Is this our new form of government? A Dictator does not require the approval of Congress! Dictators don’t resign and dictators don’t allow free elections! http://commonsense21c.com/

I couldn’t agree more, we no longer have rule of law. Now we have rule of man. This is what separated us from other countries for more than 200 years.

Interesting that he used the word “titanic” — I immediately thought of the famous ship that the makers boasted loudly about to be “unsinkable”, etc. — and guess what…….it sunk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Great prophetic analogy!!!
I’m sure the left has been busy trying to figure out what to do about him since the writing is on the wall abnout his unelectablity. What to do??? They want Hillary. Pray….for all concerned.

And the weasel engineer/designer of the ship who proclaimed it unsinkable cheated women and children out of one of the seats in a lifeboat and escaped with his life. Sounds familiar. Our bastarooni in charge will slink back to Chicago with a fortune for him and his sorry cronys.

The Titanic was sunk by a big object, an iceberg, 9/10ths of which was invisible underwater. Obama will also be sunk by a big object, the Tea Party, 9/10ths of which isn’t visible to the “snob” media. (Don’t call them elite or mainstream, they’re neither) The imagery is very appropriate. The only question is whether Obama will go down with his ship, or sneak aboard a lifeboat dressed as a woman, all the while blaming the lookout in the crows nest.

The captain of the Titanic tried to set a speed record for the crossing, so he steered a straight course even though he had been warned of icebergs in the area. Damn the consequences! Full speed ahead! New York or Bust! Obamacare for everyone! Whoops, how did that slip in?

It’s his policies that will sink him, not the color of his skin. Sorry Morgan Freeman, you sound a lot smarter when you recite lines written for you by someone else. On your own, you sound as coherent as Obama without his teleprompter.

we can pray all we want, and that keeps us on the right track, on a path… but we MUST walk that path to fulfill the prayer…

if you sell to a muslim and you are christian, you are perpetuating hate in our country. if they can’t buy or sell anything here, they can’t live here. it’s THAT simple. it’s why the Jewish people do what they do (keep it in the faith)… it’s up to you to take action, God will give you the strength.

The Tea Party‘s plan to fix the economy is to elect politicians who will stop spending money we don’t have, take the tax and regulatory handcuffs off job creators, and shrink the size and intrusiveness of government. That’s the road to economic meltdown? Obama’s road to re-election IS a Titanic struggle, but the iceburg that sinks it is his destructive progressive policies….not the Tea Party. We will be the ones in the rescue boats!

Who cares about his re-election besides Obama himself, liberal progressives, union thugs, useless idiots, freeloaders, morons, lazy young people living in their parents basements smoking pot and the liberal establishment mass media. He has put himself in this impossible position due to his complete lack of leadership, his complete incompetence and his disregard for our Constitution. The people listed above though he would bring them “hope and change” along with lolly pops and rainbows. Now that the shine has worn off, they are all starting to realize just what a One Big A$$ Mistake America this empty suit really is.

The fact that we were “not too picky” in past elections is precisely what allows people like Obama to be elected to the highest office in the land. While nobody is perfect, simply saying “anybody but Obama” means that we may well end up with an Obama with an R after his name, and resistance to government over extending its reach will cease.

if there are just 2 names on the ballot this time around, the Republicans will vote for the R. I held nose and voted for Mccain and would do the same this time around if it is Paul, Perry, or Romney. We have to hope we get a great candidate but we will vote for that person.

      GLENNROCKS,

Yesterday I posted that I was voting for Mr. Abo(pronounced Aboo). Hence…,an acronym for ANYBODY BUT OBAMA!)
So yes…,I hear you. I’m with you.
This is not the time in our naton’s history to have a hissy fit because your guy Ron Paul, or your guy Ossie Schnick did not get nominated.

Blazers, embrace the “Mr. Abo” mantra. If it’s Republican..,if it’s freaking BREATHING, vote for it!
The worst part…., even if we do get rid of President Dunham in 2012, we’re still in deep Doo Doo!
This nation is being attacked on so many fronts!
Even after November 2012 we cannot relax. Hypervigilance is necessary! And fingers crossed…,hope it works!

The bottom line of this whole mess is …, we are losing this great nation because WE let it happen!
Themantra for 2012 should be…,more C-SPAN, less Dancing With The Stars and ESPN, yadda, yadda.

    This is BS.

We are all – hopefully – well aware at this point in time about the high number of bottom-feeders and Marxists we have living amongst us. Don’t ever underestimate their numbers and willingness to pull the lever for anybody that helps keep them on the bottom. These people not only accept their position, they embrace it. That is a tough mentality to counter, no doubt.
