AZ Dems Encourage Voters to go Libertarian to Hurt GOP

It’s not only election season; it’s the season of political hijinks.
There have been numerous reports of states’ Democratic Parties propping up fake tea party candidates in an effort to split the GOP vote. Now, according to a report from the Arizona Daily Star, the Arizona Democratic Party has actually been caught circulating fliers in the state’s 8th Congressional District touting Libertarian Steve Stoltz as the “real conservative” in the race, a clear attempt to draw votes away from Republican and tea party-favorite Jesse Kelly.
Kelly is locked in a tight race to unseat Democratic incumbent Gabrielle Giffords on Tuesday. When asked why the Democratic Party was seemingly supporting the third party in the race, they gave a laughable response:
“It’s about letting voters know their choices, and when it comes to tea party ideals and knowing the Constitution, Jesse Kelly doesn’t hold a candle to Steve Stoltz. So we are simply letting voters know about their choices in this race,” said Jennifer Johnson, state Democratic Party spokeswoman.
Kelly’s campaign said he has not researched Stoltz’ positions, because Kelly is running against incumbent Democrat Gabrielle Giffords.
“It’s obvious that they can’t defend the record of Giffords, who has bankrupted this country and cut medicare and killed jobs,” said John Ellinwood, Kelly’s campaign spokesman. “We’re not surprised.”

Years ago my cousin in California voted for Ross Perot and gave us Bill Clinton… probably what you did to. Apparently, there are enough people that think “throwing the baby out with the bath water” is a good idea that the Dems are NOT afraid to use them to split the vote.
Can we talk practical. pragmatic, forward thinking here?…..when there is as much a stake as there is in this year’s elections, vote for the the candidate that comes nearest to what you want and also has a hope in Hell of winning.
Ya, I know, It may not be your first choice, but it will be the BEST choice for the nation. We need to realise that we need to vote to move closer to where want to eventually be, and incrementally move things back to the Right over perhaps several election cycles. Otherwise, the Progressives will continue to drag the country in the wrong direction…all because of vote wasters.

Vote for the Republican and if they don’t do the job according to our will then kick them out in the next primary. For now we have to get the Dems out and ELIMINATE the power of the progressive/communists completely. Taking over the Republican Party is our goal to protect our Republic. For now we have to get the Dems out and get the Repubs in. We can have the Repubs under control if we hold their feet to the fire.

Tom Perriello cannot beat Robert Hurt on his record so they are trying to split the vote here too…don’t think it is going to work here though. Tom Perriello is going to be One Term Tom!

I still remember the debates and the outrage at then Gov Mechan the used car salesman (of lemons inc.) that nearly was impeached before he even came to office – especially after managing to insult the Pope to the point of being refered to on russian tv (via C Span) as “Governor Mecham of Arizoona”

Holder is sending 500 observers to assure that, and we’re supposed to stand by and watch? I don’t think so. Posted on October 30, 2010 at 12:07amI am registered as a conservative libertarian (smaller govt the better; etc.) and an AZ pack rat. That is how I cast my vote by mail in. Of course I have to wonder now if my vote is even going to be counted or if it will be misplaced. We need to get all the Progressives and America harming politicians out of office.
It will take time yes, yet the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single footstep. Or in the case of America’s people, getting fed up and totally ticked off at what is happening works just as well.
May America reign in Gods eternal grace and guidance. Our best days are still ahead.

Historically, I would vote Libertarian just to try to keep the Republican out of office. This year I am voting Republican in those instances to try to keep the Libertarian out of office. I would rather have a sane person with whom I disagree hold office, than some crazed “It’s not in the constitution” idiot.
