AZ High School Students Chain Themselves to Desks to Protest ‘Mexican-American Studies’ Change

Is this what the leftists had in mind when they called on the youth of the nation to rise up?
A Group of rowdy high school students chained themselves to desks at the local school board chambers in order to protest a curriculum change. They chanted, screamed, and banged their hands on the desks for two hours, preventing the meeting from taking place.
What deserved such an outburst?
According to KSAZ-TV, the students are upset that the board is considering no longer allowing a Mexican-American history class — a class that teaches history from a Mexican-American perspective — to substitute for the required U.S. history class:
As KSAZ explains, the class is being reconsidered because it may violate the following state “ethnic studies” class guidelines:
The news outlet reports:
A state law passed in December basically discouraged the classes, saying they segregate students. And this group of students wanted no part of it.
They took over the room, chanted “fight back,” and basically ran the governing board out of the meeting.
Security tried to come in and tried to take the students away, but many of them apparently chained themselves together.
This isn’t over though. The governing board is going to re-schedule its meeting to decide the fate of the classes.
UPDATE:
We’ve come across shocking excerpts from curriculum. You can views those in a follow-up story here.

It is niave to say that violence is never the answer. How do you suggest talking them out of their absurd rage against one class possibly being discarded? Trying to sit their talking to them obviously would not have worked. God, in the old testament, sent the Hebrews to destoy entire civilizations with the order to leave no one alive. (Not saying that that is what should happen here by any means) And greggor did say that he did not want to use lethal weapons and it seems like yall are taking that out of context. Report Post »WHITE NINJA—-You’re right. We do need to tone down our rhetoric and eliminate violence from our thoughts. We need to hold the moral high ground, and not allow the Looney Left any chance to criticize us in any way.
GREGGOR—You are either an idiot or a troll. Either way, you are a danger to all right-thinking individuals and should bannish yourself from the political dialogue until you learn how to control your tongue. You need not be abusive in order to be agressive. You need not use foul nor disparaging language to make your point. To some extent, we all agree that some sort of punishment or retribution should be visited upon the heads of these young miscreants; yet LETHAL force or means is just toooo far over the top.
And fellas—– that there tipping point thingy deal you’re talking about? Just be prepared. It WILL come. We don’t want to be the ones to do the tipping, now do we? There will be enough of us when the time comes, I hope and pray. If there ain’t, it won’t make any difference if we start now or later.
NEVER NEVER NEVER pick a fight with a person who can’t wait for you to pick a fight! Don’t run from a fight, but you can definitely draw a bunch of idiots into an ambush.
